  2. Alchemy Weight Training

Same as Peter..I often do it with hindu squats. Also it's great with the back bridge. This guy Lar Short that posts on Matt Furey's website/discussion says that bridging is great for qigong. I don't really lift weights much anymore just some occasional Clubbell or kettlebell swinging but I don't see why it wouln't work also. The problem with weights is weight training is very brief. You get to 10 reps or something and it's all over. With CC(combat conditioning) your literally doing hundreds of reps so it really helps to open things up. Also CC makes you FOCUS. Weight training where reps are low doesnt' depand that same level of concentration. unless your doing poerlifting or something but thtas 1 rep and useless in regards to what your asking about.

I cannot deny what you two are saying and your wisdom is irrefutable. How have I have been so blind to even pay lip service to a man that clearly has no fashion sense. Perhaps the dawing of a new age of enlightenment is beyond reason but the eternal downfall of the age of the mullet and all that wish to keep that fire alive is a goal I think we can all share. In mullet hatred fellowship, Cam
  4. Mikey Likes it!

Tyson lives in Phx full time now. He was on local news this morning getting interviewed. Pretty interesting. He seems to have really gotten humble with age. He talked about how he loves Az because the weather helps keep his weight down. On the east coast where it's cold he said he "stays indoors all the time and eats twinkies". Interesting to here he has a weight problem. I always thought of Mike as a chiseled warrior that was always ripped but he said when he is not training for a fight he baloons up to 290 lbs(Alot for 5'11" guy) and living in Phoenix helps motivate him to stay outdoors and training. Another intersting point is how he said his bones have gotten weak with age. One of the major weaknessses of modern elite athletes like Tyson is extreme emphasis on physical training to the point of exhaustion and little or probably no internal qigong practice to strengthen the bones and increase jing. He said he feels like his bones are brittle and not very strong. Amazing, externally he is very muscular and strong looking but to a knowledgable qigong or chinese medicine person he probably has depleted his jing. My guess is Mike didn't practice retention over the years with the many women he had. Anyway, if I see him around town I'll suggest he take up qigong.

Yeah..I mean that whole do things to help your family bit is nice..I like it to a point..but when your kiling others to help your own family that's probably the time you need to check yourself. Adding super jedi powers to that which make it look easy and cool to slice people up would just increase the problem. I mean if I could just choke people out using the force like Darth would I even really need ju jitsu? I mean..if I had that kind of power..I would probably jsut be flinging people across the room with the force for fun..and that's sort of evil.. Hence the Jedi zen like code...
  6. FINALLY!!

    Nice!!
  7. Ok 2012 Mayan Prophecy Poll

My gut feeling at this time tells me it's crap. But I have heard some people who I generally think of as somewhat intelligent who basically believe that it's real. At the end of the day am I going to live any differently than I do now even if it was true..probably not.. My guess is like all those Y2K people who were trying to worry everyone about the giant crash that never happened these people that say something negative will happen will have a rude awakening on Dec 23, 2012. But if something positive is going to happen great..

My bad they ripped people hearts out while they were still alive and then tossed the body down the pyramid stairs...not the head...got to be as accurate as possible..you know..
  9. Ok 2012 Mayan Prophecy Poll

Ok, I realize some of you may not know what the hell I am talking about. In a nutshell... "Most native Meso-American documents were destroyed in the early years of the Spanish occupation(Conquistadors) but a few priceless books and relics did survive the destruction, either by having been hidden by the Indians or exported back to Europe as presents for the King. The most important of these is what is called the DRESDEN CODEX, named after the town in whose library it was lodged. This strange book, inscribed with unknown hieroglyphs, was written by Maya Indians who once ruled over much of Central America, the ruins of their once great civilization littering the jungle. In 1880 a brilliant german scholar, who was working as a librarian in DRESDEN, turned his attention to this CODEX. By a process of extraordinary detective work he cracked the code of the Mayan calendar making it possible for other scholars and explorers to translate the many dated inscriptions to be found on buildings, stalae and other ancient Mayan artifacts. He discovered that the DRESDEN CODE itself was concerned with astronomy providing detailed tables of lunar eclipses and other pheonomenon. These were so accurate that they put our own calendar to shame. He also found evidence for a curious "magic number" - 1,366,560 days, which could be factorised in a number of ways and which harmonised the cycle of Venus and Mars with two "yearly" cycles also used by the Maya: The sacred TZOLKIN of 260 days and the HAAB of 365 days. However, he also found that they had another system of counting the days relative to a starting date, called the Birth of Venus and now known to be August 13, 3114 BC. This calendar was divided into "months"or "uinals" of twenty days, "years" or "tuns" of 360 days, and longer periods of 7200 days called "katuns" and 144,000 days the "baktun". The number 13 was magically important and they believed that, starting from the birth of Venus, after 13 of these longest periods called "baktuns", the world would come to an end. Working from their start date this Mayan Prophecy points to a date in our own time, December 22, 2012.

He should keep making it until Dec 2012. Make the next two about Darth Plagus and how he got Darth Siddius to turn to the dark side. Then he can REALLY make things interesting and have the CHRONICLES OF YODA. 3 Movies about Yoda's mysterious origin and how he became a Jedi knight and ultimately the head of the Jedi. He can even put Obi Wan's story and cover the story of Darth Tyrranus(The guy Vader axed his head off in Revenge of the Sith) into Yoda's story. That's 6 or 7 years then in Summer 2012 come out with some sick shit about how the universe is going to end or change into a different frequency and a new order of Jedi arises to take all of the teachings of the Sith and Jedi to the next experience of life. Then we can atleast have some good entertainment during the end times. And if the Mayans were all wrong and smoking to much weed or something while chopping peoples heads off as sacrifices to the Gods or aliens or whatever we can all have a good laugh and continue with our Capatilistic ways...
  11. revenge of the sith

Wow you guys are reading deeply into this stuff. When you hear George Lucas get inteviewed and the guy talks about how it's a tragedy about Darth Vader. Darth Vader was the first character he created before the rest of the story was even made up and it was meant to be about this guy who get's turned to the dark side. Yoda was something he didn't put much of any thought into. Yoda was the head of the jedi council and he didn't put much into him. Even in a recent interview I saw him say "To be honest I don't know where Yoda is from or much about him..he is a mystery." I remember the debate/argument between Michael Winn and Eric Yudelove years ago on the HT board was basically all about this. Eric was basically going on about how he was a powerful sorcerer and his many years of training had made him very powerful and he could become an immortal in a kind of powerful and mysterious way. He had a dragon named Yoshio that he said would visit you in your dreams and fuck you up if you messed with him or talked shit on the internet very Darth Vader..ish Then along came Winn battling Eric with his "Taoist practice is all about balance and harmony" and how the dark side is all about control and hierarchy and how the dark side masters or sorcerers were not as eveloved as those that may have achived Immortality by being in harmony and balance with the Force(Tao) Actually..the star wars movie had so many similarities with Winn and Yudeloves debate it's not even funny. Annikan makes a big deal when the council doesnt' recognize him as a "Master". Yudelove got pissed at Winn(and me to in private email) when asked to not make such a big deal about the Master title. He was the Master and he wanted everyone to know it. And qui gong..the character that has ahived Immortality(Obi Wans master) is all about being in balance with the force. He doesn't wish to have special power but gets it by being in balance.. I don't mean to imply I think Eric is totally evil I considered him a kind of teacher/friend when we used to communicate years ago and thing he weant through a kind of Darth Vader transition. Only thoughs that were around the HT board in those days(like 7 years ago) can really appreciate this but Eric went from a pretty cool guy..and helpful qigong teacher to a power obsessed dude..back to a pretty cool guy again. I just thought of something sick if Lucas really wanted to cash in he could do a prequal to the prqual showing how Darth Siddius came to the dark side. I mean..I don't see it happening Lucas is too tired now but that would probably be good for another couple movies. Will the digression ever end?

I am going to get it at the end of next month from Amazon and save the $30. It's not so much the money but I am taking so much of the Noni juice for the next month it would be better to start the program then anyway. But if your going for it sooner directly from Sounds True let us know!
  13. The Green

On a serious note, Indonesian courts just sentenced a 27 year old Australian woman to 20 years in prison for smuggling 9 lbs of marijuana in her surfboard. Bali(indonesian) courts were actually going for the death penalty but the Australian govenment interceded and got it to a life sentence. Wasn't there a movie about this with Clare Danes? Sad stuff..
  14. The Motrin Challenge

I was a smoker for about 10 years. Started freshman year of high school and quit about 2 1/2 years ago. For me, alot of it started with being surrounded by smokers at school and work but then got addicted myself. I was up to a pack a day at one point. I think quitting cold turkey was one of the ebs things I could do for my life but would never turn into one of those ex smokers that tells people how bad smoking is for them. I presume unless you have some sort of mental handicap or are unaible to read you know it's not exactly good for you That said, ken Cohen makes the distinction in Honoring The Medicine, his book on Native Indian healing, that there is a big difference between smoking a cigarette and smoking the traditional Indian way. One is an addiction the other is a kind of prayer offering you only do on special occasions. if your interested there is alot in that book on the sacred aspect of Tobacco. cam
  15. Noni juice

Been taking this stuff for 2 weeks . I started on a low dose of only an oz a day in the morning. That's what it says to take on the label but I just recieved an email saying something different. Here is what Dr.Mian-Ying Wang,MD, University of illinois College of Medicine suggests: Month 1 Before breakfast 2 oz Before dinner 2 oz Month 2 through 6 Before breakfast 2 oz Before dinner 1 oz Maintenance Month 7 and after Before breakfast 1 oz Before dinner 1 oz I am going to follow the doctors advice and see how it goes. I took 4 oz today and am really feeling it. It's a whole lot different than 1 oz. I'll keep posting on my cultivation journal about my experience with it.

Isometrics, the different pullups, Bridging Gymnastics, Stretching, the info on diet and all the stuff on acheiving your goals. Ok..before I study for this damn Employment Law test..Let's get really deep... How would the jedi handle modern day problems? If Yoda and the council was runnin' things... How would they deal with 9/11 and Terrorism? Economical problems(homeless people and stuff) Corrupt business or political people? Discuss..
  24. revenge of the sith

I liked how the Lord Siddius tells Annaken that he can teach him the power to save his girls life .Then right after Annaken helps him kill Samuel Jackson and screws up his path the dude says "Actually..only 1 person has ever learned how to do that..but I know we can figure it out together." I mean...wouldn't a half way intelligent Jedi knight first ask if the dude really had the ability to save people from dying. He turned to the dark side on a hunch! Lol! I would have had to get some proof..bring this cockaroach back to live...ok now this dead bird.. Even then I would probably not do it though..you know..killing little kid Jedi's and all that business
