Bump. Mal just posted this link in a thread. I still do the practice. And I would still reccommend Max or Sifu Jenny to anyone who is really interested in exploring there spirit and true nature. I have no doubt-despite everything that has been said-that Max and the practices he teaches are the "real deal" and authentic. I will say this. As my friend Dan(Joeblast) has mentioned, Max teaches differently than perhaps other Taoist teachers. He doesn't hold your hand. He gives the transmission and the practice and then you are left to unpack things on your own. He tells you your your own best teacher and have everything you need and to figure it out. This is either a tremendous blessing or nightmare depending on your attitude. We have seen great successes and failures on this path. My honest feeling is Kunlun demands you connect to your innocent childlike mind maybe more so than other paths. This might be a great challenge for those stuck in the muck of the judgements and negativity adulthood so often engenders. Kunlun can free you of that. All the best, Cam

Aren't you going to find out in a couple weeks with Kathy? edit-My bad it's next week. Tell her and her husband I said hi. I am particularly interested in your report as we have a similar backround with Kunlun. And you guys will have a live feed with Master Wang? That's pretty cool!

Interesting Yes, I saw Sean D's post. Not sure if this Master is accessible or not or if you would have to study with David to get to him or not. I had lunch with a Zen Master a few weeks ago who has a school here and in Berkely. His opinion was Taoists tend to get too attached to energy phenomena and need Zen to balance this. So his School blends Sundo(Korean Taoism) and Zen Buddhism. As impressive as I found him and as much of a dream it has always been of mine to study directly with a bon a fide Zen Master. Being completely honest with myself the path I initiated with Max is really just still going full force 24/7. I mean I feel I am in Max and Jenny's Maoshan lineage. I haven't taken any traditional Maoshan Taoist stuff with Max but my sense is it's all I need. ATLEAST for a good long while. That said..if Sean was able to share a little more about David's Korean Teacher or share info about him privately with me I would certainly make the effort to go see such a being. Why not? If I need to pay a huge sum of money to David to get the info then it's not in the cards right now. Too many responsibilities and other things going. Cam

Kathy is a sweet heart. I had a wonderful time getting lunch with her and her husband in Atlanta. I feel I pretty far down the path I have been on the last year and half but if I wasn't and was still in Atlanta would jump at the chance to learn from Kathy. Of course we enver really know what destinty has in store for us. If I find myself interested in hopping over to China in the future to see Master Wang I know Kathy is my go to friend stateside for info. She is very funny also. These Chinese Taoist woman are great! Hanging out with Kathy and Sifu Jenny more recently has really instilled in me deep appreciation for the female perspective of these practices. Franky..I think we all have alot to learn from them..make that double for the Tao Bums -

Matt Furey's course Magnetic Mind Power states that each person is a living magnet. We attract the people, opportunities and situations that are in line with our dominant thoughts and actions. The idea is to have specific goals that you want to accomllish. When you have found what your goals are and done visualizations and used the mental laws Furey talks about, the goals will be accomplished. I don't know if any of you Taobums are even into Furey but he has been on of my major teachers/influences over the past few years. anyone have his program and want to comment on there experiences or the idea in gernal that you "magnetize" what you want to you when you follow certain mental laws?

Sounds awesome bro!! Wish I could be there. Taomeow sorry...I couldn't resist. But we lucky readers on Kunlun Forum got to read about my sister here's amazing journey in South America. Which I won't say any more about I guess

I like your perspective. So has the South American experience calmed down? Or when is the book coming out

I have seen both Adyashanti and Tolle in person. Of the two I prefer Adyashanti. I don't have much of an opinion on what was said. That clip I found interesting so am sharing it. My experience since beginning Kunlun is it's more along the lines of flowing water. Life is like this ever flowing stream and how much can you let go and be one with the stream? Taoist practices seem to address this most directly. Of course Adyashanti comes out of Zen even though he follows the Advaita satsang format.

I havent gone through the whole course but it looks pretty interesting .Is Enlightenment possible without a live teacher? who knows. WWW.Geocities.com/the_Wanderling/40test01.html

Pretty sure it was Sean's idea modeled after Dharma Bums. I still haven't read that book. Yes in nutshell the Healing Tao board crashed or something and Sean and some other's who still post here like Smile and Pietro got this site going. There was some drama at the beginning but it eventually cooled off. It's been interesting watching the development of this site. I don't think about the name much but I guess it is sort of odd to mix the word "Tao" with the word "Bum". I think most people find it sort of funny though

Nothing to see here

Deadwood was good. Crappy ending though. Like they just had to wrap up the series and end it. Al Sweringen(sp?) was such a great character. Cool to see that actor in that new show Kings that just started. He's such a character that guy.
