Vipassana or Zen would probably be ok. I just wouldn't be comfortable recommending Kunlun to a drug addict. Have to be clean for awhile first imo. Good luck.

If your having alot of results this quickly and are going to continue the practice you should really make every effort to see Max or Sifu Jenny Lamb. Max has two workshops going in Oct and Jenny has one in Nov. Good luck in any case.

I feel the magnetic current flowing around and inside almost all the time. But it's very internal. I don't get much crazy movement anymore but feel the downward flow and usually some clockwise spiraling at my waist. Kind of like a slow, mellow, groovy motion. *Chris mentioned Stevie Wonder as a good example of Kunlun movement, but my movement after the first few months was more like a wild wipping around at the waist, more like Axl Rose* Good luck, your already more advanced than me in that you fell off your chair. I have been doing Kunlun for a year and the ground still has yet to grab me. Max has mentioned getting flung off your chair a couple times as a good sign of progress

I wouldn't go straigh into Kunlun. Going from being a drug addict to all the energy Kunlun can open up probably would be extremely intense. I like Clinton's view. Treatment and detox first. Learn to be a normal everyday person. Then maybe go for Kunlun or a spiritual path. Cam

There are still people like this all over the place. Actually, my own father, on two occasions I brought up my interest in eastern arts and chinese medicine etc. The first time he started saying how it was all bs and that it is an unnatural manipulation of the nerves or something. The second he basically insulted the entire Chinese culture saying it was low level and they are all just a "bunch of smokers" I never brought the subject up with him again. That's my Dad. A complete stranger I would just change the topic asap. Talk about baseball or something. Arguing about this stuff is a waste of time imo. Your either into it or your not.

I saw your birthday is today on the bottom of the screen. Happy Pancakes from eternity

One trippy thing I sometimes think of is what do you think if there are human beings on many other planets in the universe..like hundreds or even thousands of other star systems filled with human civilizations of different levels of advancement of which we are just one tiny part? Maybe the reason we don't have much info on our past(missing link)is we came here from somewhere else? Did you see the new Battlestar Galactica? Maybe we are all the refugees from an ancient war that came here a hundred thousand years ago and just forgot where we came from Or have I been watching to much Sci Fi channel?

Good point Witch. I guess what I was getting a little experience of was the thing some Taoists talk about becoming like water. Water surrends, flows with the current not against it. To me, surrender doesn't imply some weak state where you can get trampled on but a state of flowing with not against. I am just stumbling my way through this though. There have been some really high vibe responses to this on the Kunlun board along the lines of letting go of your own desires and following the path of the Bodhisattva. I think that is what my intention in writing this post was aiming at. I wasn't thinking about it in an anti empowerment or anti freedom sense. Maybe more in a sense of being more connected. Like the martial arts master who can let go tension and use the opponents own strength against him(or her). While still having a smile on your face

Ok. Well, all the best in any case. Who knows, maybe you are really an immortal and most(?)of humankind will be drowned shortly. I hope the people who practice your system get some benefit in any case. I'll keep practicing what I learned from Max and remain optimistic about the future. Though I guess you are optimistic about things after the worldwide flooding and fire in the sky

Li Jiong, you need to reassess your approach brother. There are many serious cultivators here. Probably more of them would have purchased your book without all the doom and gloom apocolyptic talk. It is a big turn off. Why would I want to learn more about standing meditation and Taoism from someone who sounds so unbalanced? The sky is going to be on fire? Man if I wanted to listen to that I would go join an extreme fundamentalist church not do Taoist practice. But to be fair to Li, I think we should revisit this thread in five years and concede that he was right or(most likely)that he was wrong and his doomsday approach is not the way to get people enthusiastic about meditation and qigong All the best in any case.

Rain is a sweetheart. Everyone knows she has a heart of gold and a bit of a mischievous side. Son Goku lower your power level and stop going super sayan on pretty ladies.

The Max Christensen Facts Not Fiction Thread.

Yup, Chris is really the only person who can speak on this. -
Just a suggestion. If you did the workshop in the States instead of Canada, I am sure you could easily get 15(probably more) people. I would guess you would get atleast that number of Max students who would be intetrested in meeting the famous person who taught Max the Kunlun practice. Maybe ask Mantra if he can make a post on the private Kunlun forum. Cam

Ok man

I didn't say I thought you were being showy. I think your video is cool. But The way you phrased it was like asking people to post videos of themselves doing Kunlun, which from my experience isn't something people have wanted to do. But yeah, if Chris wants to post some stuff of Max doing Bagua or another form that's cool.
-
Ahh...ok. All the best
-
I think everything will be ok and feel very positive about the future.

Hi Spectrum, I don't think of Kunlun as being a performance or "showy" type of thing. When I practice now my movements are very subtle and most of it is internal. I sway a bit and usually spiral around but nothing super artistic about it. What would be cool is if some Kunluners maybe wanted to video doing Max's Bagua or the 5 elements form. Also, as silly as it seems putting a video of youself doing Kunlun would basically be showing the Kunlun form to people. Not that big a deal I guess but I think the consensus is for people to do a workshop and learn it the right way. Nice practice you have though. Looks like an awesome setting to cultivate you have there.

Good stuff Smile. See you again next time I am in NYC. I am guessing you will still be above water Forces of Darkness, Gs37NSLy3z4

The Kunlun board has been up for awhile. Most people who have taken the workshop post over there not here. Seems most of the Kunlun convos here have been Chris defending his teacher from malicious attacks or else just a few people talking about it in their practice jounrals. Or people who aren't able to do the workshop making new threads. Probably if you are new to the practice just doing a search here or reading all of Mantra68's posts should answer any questions you have.

I tried to buy a bottle of Centrum while I was in NY a few weeks ago. Brought it up to the counter. When I got home I saw that it wasn't in the bag and I wasn't charged for it. Somehow just didn't make it. I wasn't paying any attention while my stuff was getting rung up. So I took that as a sign not to bother with a multi. What I am trying to do now is actually eat more fruits and veggies and get the micronutrients from that.

Interesting. Yes, if anyone goes let's here feedback. From what Max, Mantra and others have said sounds like studying with Sifu Jenny would be pretty incredible. If she says no transmission is required I guess that's good news for people who aren't able to go to a workshop and see Max? From my understanding, Max says you only need to see him once if you want to attain Gold Dragon Body. But that you can get to a good level just doing the practice also(But can't attain GDB for some reason) But GDB is something unique to Max's system I am guessing. Or maybe a teaching coming more from the Maoshan side?
-
Does she give the transmission also? Or is that something unique to Max when he incorporated Spontaneous Adjustment Qigong into his Maoshan practices?
