I guess most of us that study with Max just presume after all the things we experienced and continue to experience that he wouldn't steal someone elses identity I'll take Max's word over Winn's at this point. And I don't know your friends, so, though I am sure they are being sincere, wouldn't really mean much to me if they said the guy calling himself Max Christensen is an imposter.

My understanding is if you mix RP and Kunlun together in one sesshin you close down the way you do with RP. You can also mix Kunlun with RP directly and mix Kunlun with Gold Flower Mudra(so you do both practices together). Not sure if he taught you that he taught the mixing RP with Kunlun method in only one of the workshops I went to(he usually keeps RP and Kunlun seperate). Cam

I think more like a serious kundalini yoga type practice. Not so much a regular yoga asana practice. The thing he does make a point of is to give Kunlun a try by itself for two weeks. So if your drawn to it just do Kunlun(from the book) for two weeks and if you have good results and want to go deeper with it do a workshop. At the workshop ask specific questions about stuff like that. Best, Cam

Taobums and Kunlun was/is like bees to honey. The magnetic energy was too strong....

The only real difference I think Max has gained some weight(he is still thin but looks like he used to be very thin). I think Chris mentioned he was a vegetarian at one point and that combined with all his practice made him very thin? I could be wrong here-just remember that being said. There is a Youtube video of Max also. If this is one of Toledo's videos it's definetly him. Same voice, mannerism etc. Cam wr_8zfV22GI

In my experience doing Max workshops woman open up to Kunlun very, very fast. I think men are really the ones who have more "problems" with it. That's not to say Kunlun is the only path-Spring Forest,Ken Cohen etc are all probably very worth checking out. But just feel it's worth mentioning the Kunlun path that Max teaches seems really well suited and most woman seem to have profound or even ecstatic types of experiences with it. imho many men will have issues with the Kunlun path because they want more of an xyz type of program. Which it totally fair and understandable. Though some men also have a very strong affinity to it and connect with it right off the bat. The only real issue I had with Kunlun was the lack of emphasis in grounding in my first workshop since the energies you can experience are really powerful and you can get a bit ungrounded. Max seems to have made teaching standing and teaching people to ground a main part of the workshops now so along with the red phoenix practice I think is a pretty complete path. But check out the other stuff to if you feel drawn to it. Cam ps. I think Max is more liberal about the doing the other practices thing than he is in the book. In the book it basically says don't do any other practices if you do Kunlun. In the workshops and in Chris updates here it sounds like most Taoist practices are ok(he mentioned the MCO practice was fine to do several times here over several months ago). Kundalini practices seem to be the one to not mix in.

RP is Red Phoenix. Yes, he mentioned several times in different workshops I attended that you only really need to see him once. But we Taobums have developed a special realationship and it's definetly worth going to multiple workshops because he teaches you more practices. For example, at the last workshop in NJ I went to he taught the TB's group a cool bagua form and the Red Dragon practice, a high level method that opens the orbit in reverse. But to be honest I haven't really practiced the side practices he taught us and stick to the 5 Element Standing, Kunlun and Red Phoenix. Cam

The John Chang thread might not be the best place to issue this question TF. I would suggest a PM or start a new thread. It is an interesting question and they did put it in the book so I am sure others would like to hear about it. Cam

ummmm...ok? My answer is I don't no bro. Would you prefer I just don't respond to your question? Mantra68 would be the only person here who would know that info maybe if your polite he will tell you?

No idea. PM Mantra68 maybe he will tell you.

I am editing my posts on this thread because I really don't have a clue about what's going on with GDB, John Chang or high level Lamas

Actually, Max said this(via Chris) here before. I thought this was an awesome post and really did sum alot of things up: The Kunlun opens up the 14 meridians, the jing lo, the three dan tiens, ad the secret square inch. It also awakens the nine palace pathways (the hotu). The Microcosmic Orbit is also opened and it allows the chi to flow in both directions. When the MCO flows in reverse it is called the Red Dragon circulation (Mao Shan). We have a whole method for this type of circulation that is not taught and are our more secret practices. The whole purpose of Kunlun is to open ALL of the energy channels and all of the dan tiens regardless of what style you previously practiced. In different Chinese traditions some say the MCO goes through the spine, some say it goes behind the spine and some say it goes in front of the spine. Regardless of the tradition, when combined with Kunlun it will open whichever flow you practice. Everyone is right and everyone wins. If you have the founder of Yang Tai Chi system (original way), he has designed the set in a specific way. Then in present day take three Yang Tai Chi teachers. Even though the knowledge comes from the first master, because of slight variations in the method, each will say that theirs it the original and correct way of doing Yang Tai Chi. So while they all come from the same source, they will disagree. The end result, even with all the minor variations, will be the same

Besides all the cool practices people should also know Max is very strong and an excellent martial artist. He threw Yoda around like a Cabbage Patch Kid during Bagua practice in the Holiday Inn Courtyard!

Yes, Kunlun sounds different than other systems of alchemy or Tao. It's not about building up energy or creating something new so much as connecting with something very deep. The Shamans Web Max mentioned sounds alot like "Indras Web" talked about in Buddhism. Great post from Max. I think alot of people have been dying to hear some more from him besides "It's a vacuum" or "practice Kunlun and Red Phoenix and you can achieve Golden Dragon Body". If we can look forward to more info like this on the Kunlun forum my guess is it will become a very good discussion. Cam

Thanks for sharing! Studying with all 3 of those Sifu's must be quite an amazing experience. I would like to meet one of those 3 one day after all that has been written about them here.

Interesting question. I just took a week off of Kunlun to let things settle a bit and that seems to have helped. I didn't feel like I was going Dragon Body or anything just the energies were getting too intense for me to enjoy everyday things. After a week I started K1 again. Though I asked Mantra about this several times after my first workshop experience and it seems just stop practicing for awhile was the prescription. Good luck.

I met Richard at the first workshop I went to in LA. Seemed like a really good guy and close student of Max. So is Richard able to do the Kunlun transmission also? I was always under the impression Max was the one who did the initial transmission to initiate the energy and put you in the lineage and other students of his like Kan, Richard, Mantra68 etc did more like "tune up" transmissions. But Richard was great to sit next to regardless. He is one of those Kunluners that laughs alot and makes you laugh alot too.

That's just their way of opening up to eachother, like drunks at a bar but full of qi instead of alcohol

Yes, if I ever visit RI or Columbia, SC I know who to call

LOL. You need to raise your power level and become Super Sayan Goku. -
The thing is people seem to want to trash talk other practioners without any direct experience. If you do the David Shen Foundation training or do a Max workshop and then feel the need to come here and talk sh%t then atleast your in a position to speak from direct experience. Just talking out of your ass from "vibes" you get from people over the internet isn't valid. Like Sean said, you would probably think differently or behave differenty if you met him or his teacher in person. Same goes for other teachers. Again, if someone who actually did the DS training came and talked about what a negative experience it was then there would be some validity but it just seems people want to tear the guy down because their own belief system doesn't support DS students views.
