  1. 3 stages of illusion

No idea but I haven't had a cigarette all day today. Please pray to Krishna, Vishnu, Brahman, Shiva and whatever other of your Gods to give me strength to mantain my non smoking discipline and gather my strength for the age of Wii(let's not get into details about that please)
  2. What your talking about sounds more in line with what Sifu Max does-throwing people without physical touch-. Yeah..that is another level..and some old school IMA on the board like Buddy think it's BS. It's quite a deep issue really. I mean, I beleieve in it. I think Max can do it. I think O'Sensei could do it. But there is alyways that MMA or BJJ guy who says "It's bs..they only demonstrate on there students, it wouldn't work against a BJJ black belt." And you can't really argue with them because it's true..most all of them demonstrate only on there students. It actually doesn't bother me .The last thing I would want to see is some BJJ black belt going for a take down on Sifu Max. I mean..regardless of the outcome that just doesn't appeal to me at all. But if we are going to have these discussions might as well have them.
  3. One of the highest level IMA I know. 25 year disciple of a top Chinese IMA and all around bad ass, is also one of the most humble and down to Earth people I ever met. I mean, if I have ever met anyone who is a legitimate bad ass it is him..yet he still chooses to remain humble. One time I asked him about BJJ. His answer "You don't want to go to the ground with a Jiu Jitsu guy". He summed up in one sentence the common sense and pragmatism of a lifetime of training.
  4. Can we please for the love of Heaven and Earth let this issue die? Do whatever art you like to do. Ok..no more Cameron drama about what the supreme ultimate art for all Taoist practitioners is. Thank You.
  5. Aikido is better. Michael Learner does Aikido so that is a clear sign from the Tao I will go with Aikido over Bagua, Xingi, BJJ...or ninjitsu(the revenge!) Ok..let this issue die forever.
  6. No idea what your talking about see if you can attempt to not be a wiseass for a week.
  7. xenolith, Do you have a quota of how many wiseguy remarks you have to make in a week? Could you maybe attempt to be respectful of others..just try it for a week man.
  8. I say we all take a 6 month sabbatical from sharing our experiences and instead just answer the age old question of which martial art is best.
  9. What if all the teachers are all top notch and world class!! I can't be forced to make these type of decisions!!
  10. Man Love

  11. Man Love

Men should just cut our penises off and be done with it. *totally joking*
  12. I agree with Derek. So Yoda keep all your Kunlun experiences to yourself please!
  13. Attraction and Energy

You nailled it. You said you "had your fun". My guess is most Taobums(including myself) have not "had there fun". So..it's probably a situation where you did what you needed to do, and then moved on to celibacy. But my guess is for 99% of cultivaors on here the Taoist sex practices will be probably be the long term solution not celibacy. But...really....really...impressive..keep it up!
  14. Martial arts arguments are a bottomless pit. Best thing is to just show people in person(Not violently!) The best martial artists I know are super laid back and friendly..and they definetly wouldn't engage in these silly type of internet discussions. Probably it's about time I started to follow there example a little. We are all winners! Yay!
  15. Dude that was like the 70's. Anything that happened in the 70's doesn't count.
  16. Pyrokinesis

No, no problem. Things are the way they are
  17. Attraction and Energy

Yeah..that just doesn't seem balanced for a westerner at all In all seriousness IF you can do the celibacy thing great. Let's get real though. Can you? Are you celibate? Or are you instead saying have sexual realationships but don't get married? I am more interested in real living peoples experiences with this than some long gone guru from a different culture than mine.
  18. Can't really talk about the outings in Phoenix. I wish I could. I met some very interesting characters myself after the first workshop. My guess is-and I really don't have a clue how it really works just my guess-when your energy reaches a certain level you start to get "noticed" by other beings. I really can't get into details and frankly don't know much about it myself(nor do I have a particularly strong interest to know more about it at this point). But yeah..the Earth is a pretty small planet. Let's just leave it at that Your hooked up directly with Max so by all means ask him more questions when you see him. Cam
  19. Exactly! In a way the way Chris opened up might be a blessing in disguise. Anyway, things are the way they are and we each experience them the way we experience them. One thing that has just started to come up which I really like is to really start to have fun with this. I mean..not to get too weird with it..but the Jedi in Star Wars and stuff...like...if there are any Jedi's in training it's us dude Not even too really take any of this too seriously. Laid back..fun...laid back..fun...my new mantra.
  20. Pyrokinesis

I don't think I have ever ciritisized any one elses path on taobums. I don't think I have done it a single time in 3 years.
  21. Standing meditation is awesome. I think we pretty much have established we like standing before we met Max I do enjoy that he includes that component as one of the 3 legs of his system and no doubt will be adding it in at some point. My desire to focus exclusively on Level 1 for a year is to really make sure my nervous system and channels are in good shape first. I think for most people the energy of just the Kunlun practice is enough to digest for a good while. The transmission from Max has been it's own animal. I could probably not practice for a month and still experience stuff. I was pretty interested in seeing if others had experienced what I had after transmission. So far..it sounds like Yoda has had a pretty smooth transission(which is not a bad thing) I don't even think Sean Denty even mentioned any experiences. It sounds like Sean was so deep already in the Lei Shan Dao tranining that maybe the trasnmission wasn't as powerful as someone like me who never got transmisison from any teacher before? I don't know. I am happy to see Vortex having all kinds of openings. It doesn't sound like anyone has gotten technical or opened up about that. The capstone of the pyramid, baby dinousaur, interesting lights in the sky So..are people just not opening up or am I just the freak of the group? BTW I don't want to freak anyone out about the Baby Dinousaur thing or lights in the sky. Max didn't really go into it but I guess they are higher dimensional beings(sort of like Tao Immortals?) that can help you in your practice. I think the Mayans and Egyptians talk about it alot. Of course the Tao tradition is full of talk about Dragons. The lights in the sky..well..yeah we probably just need to realize the Earth isn't the center of the universe or the only intelligent life in the universe at some point. I don't know. It can be heavy, paridigm shifting stuff so my feeling is it's best for people to take there time and just relax with it. Oh..standing meditation is awesome!
  22. Ali and Gorilla or O'Sensei?
  23. Pyrokinesis

IMO John Changs introduction to the west lighting things on fire was probably good for a select few and fun but not really that productive. I mean, it's the kind of situation where you have people like David Shen's students at the foundationforum that got interested in him and then that led them into comtemplation. So, that was the good that came from it is your have some amercian and european students meditating 4 hrs a day and studying with David Shen. With Sifu Max, it's not like he showed all that much. The stuff he shows throwing Kan is stuff you see at the seminar anyway. It's fun to watch but Max's talent for helping people open spiritually is such that any sort of external display of power sort of pales in comparison. I mean, yes it is entertaining, but if Max suddenly lit a newspaper on fire in front of me that wouldn't impress me nearly as much as the little bit of central channel and heart opening after meeting him. Not even to speak of connecting with "Higher Self" which I find much more interesting than any displays of power. Connecting with THE ALL is what it's all about. I honestly don't see how some dudes like Buddy(who I highly respect) even feel the need to critisize other paths. You have found your path and teacher great, let other people find theres.
  24. Fedor would own all of them I know that much. I mean...I love Ali and Gorilla Monsoon but Fedor would own them. Randy Couteur probably would take them down and ground and pound until the mat was a bloody mess. I think O'Sensei was on the superhuman level and they wouldn't even get ahold of him. Anyway..it's just fun..I don't see how anyone can take bodyslamming a grown man seriously Probably the most impressive thing about O'Sensei is he was able to train into old age. I don't care who you think the Ultimate Fighter is if I can be half of what this dude was as an old man that is the goal. I mean just look at him..this is an 80 year old man! link
