I havent smoked in like 5 years but just having the strongest desire to smoke. I don't want to just go buy a pack of Camel's or whatever. Can someone please give some feedback what are the healthiest..least damaging ways to do tobacco. Any over the counter brands ok..or not so bad. Just dying to smoke right now...

I don't regret starting it..not even a little..how can you say somewhat honest communication dealing with an energy that is considered..oh..I don't know...ESSENTIAL TO CULTIVATION..to be not a good thing!? My sense is we should have been having MORE discussions of this level from the beginning.

I did the same thing..4 smokes total..except I got the blue pack I appreciate all of your excellent feedback on this. I can't say for sure at this point if I will or won't smoke..maybe will come back to this thread in a month or 2.

Wow, I never realized how much Taomeow said about the benifits of tobacco here. Taomeow can you give me some feedback here please? Do you think if I smoke a few of these Natural American Spirit smokes I will have problems with cultivation like Lin is saying? I mean, I respect Lin, but my sense reading him lately is he is waaaaaaaaay on the religous Taoism trip..rather than shamanism. I mean, how can a real shaman be so anti-tobacco? No disrespect Lin I am just a student learning here.

What is everyones feeling about guns? My feeling is they are basically an instrument of evil. Something about what Lao Tzu says how if you kill someone you should act as if you are attending a funueral? My sense is-I have never purchased a gun before-never needed one before. Like..I don't even want that sort of low energy around me. Seems friends of mine who ar einto guns sort of attract more BS to them..and let's face facts..owning g gun increases the chance that you will someday use it. I mean..it's such an deep issue especially in the world today with all of our wars and kids killing kids. thoughts?

I am sorry..didn't mean to imply you have a choice. I just meant in the "bigger picture" being gay isn't all that big a deal. I am speaking from the perspective of what I picked up from my Zen teachers..who are all very accepting of people lifestlye(just lifestlye not lifestlye choice..ok ) But from the persective of awakening..isn't all this business about "I am gay" or "I am straight" or "I am bisexual" or "I am celibate" just more "stuff"? So, since Smile was the one who originally told me about Lama Dorje I spontaneously started to think....hmmm..what else did the controversial Russian from Greenpoint tell me about? I remember Max used to study with this teacher Gary Smith and spontaneously went over to his website. He has 2 tests on his website..one where he talks and repeats some stuff. He says if you feel energy opening up in your pineal gland(3rd eye) as he talks you are a 99th generation descentant of Jesus and Mary Magdalen. So..I definetly felt energy in my pineal gland as he talked. They also have a test on there to see if you are one of the "Ancient Ones". I actually am grateful now that I spent the last 5 years working in my family business because I got to have alot of direct contact with homosexual men(My family is in the flooring/design business) Part of this exposure has helped me see each individual as a unique human being rather than just a "sex object". For example..yes, I have been hit on by men and it was never really a problem. If you have a sense of humor and can laugh about it it's not that bad. That said..any serious..uncomfortable advances would be met with a sound ass kicking..and I can do that without causing much if any damage(no lawsuits!) However, the reality is..pretty much every single gay man I have known has been more or less an upright person. When they see your not into it they drop it. But then you hear these stories like that guy with Michael Winn in Ashevelle who was brutally raped and your like..holy shit...for some guys it's actually not that different than some woman who gets raped on a college campus somewhere. fucked up!
