EXACTLY Flynn. My feeling is buying a gun would be me becoming more "part of the problem". If some crazy person wants to kill you they are going to kill you..whether you have a stockpile of weapons or not. Of course..as I mentioned several times already this is not a cut and dry black or white issue. This is literally a LIFE AND DEATH issue. I think this thread should be added to, thought about and the thoughts about it refined over coming months/years/decades whatever.

Seems to be a primary aspect of human existence is to have as much fun as you can. But it's like..you want toh ave fun without hurting other people too much(or doing damage control..minimizing hurting others) Some people like my Tao brother Smile take this to an extreme by saying you shouldn't eat steaks(which are delicious) but if steaks bring me enjoyments and fun should I really stop eating them? By the same token..beating some innocent guy on the street up and taking his money might be fun to someone but not a particularly nice thing to do. So where do you all feel the fun vibe fits into Taoist practice..is there abalance to it all..or is that mostly just society's conditioning because maybe they are too caught in there judgments/mind etc?

I would akin it more to something like a terrorist than spoiled kid But hey...All that is /the Universe/Tao needed a worthy adversary, no? That whole thing I wrote BTW is probably also coming from the mind

Stop being rational Yoda! I am taking November off and that is final. Heck..I am seeing a bunch of you in person so can annoy you in person anyways. I don't keep track of such silly things. No..what it is..I had an experience at the Lama Dorje workshop and left my job. So I am taking the next month off from work and just finishing my degree. When I get a new job in December I won't have time for this.

My ignorant opinion is if your serious about following any of the Tao schools give them atleast 1 year before mixing with others. Of course..do your best to determine which Tao school is worth your time and effort to give that year or whatever..but give it a year..and don't have so many opinions about the practice. Less talk more do..

Just to give people a heads up... The Learner is coming to town a couple days early to hang out in Sedona .I might join him. If other 'bums' want to come a day or 2 early we could gather a Tao Bum posse and storm the vortexes and mountain trails of Sedona. Another option is some of us could drive up sunday or even monday after the workshop. It's a 2 hr drive from Phoenix..and is easily one of the most amazing places you will ever see...some of the spots over there have energy like nowhere else on Earth from what I understand. Or whatever you want

I am interested in the wind path since I heard Sifu Max talk about..don't feel I know enough to speak on it though. Frankly..reading..talking about..Magus of Java is a waste of time. He doesn't teach openly, isn't going to teach openly etc..so why bother? For the real high stuff that is being openly taught check out David Shen Verdesi or Sifu Max.
