Darn! VeeCee asked. Now I have to answer Ok...I showed up a little early. It rained. I sat outside on line. Mantra68 aka Chris(who has the energy of a rock star/movie star/Jedi knight rolled into one) showed up. We said hi. I went inside. I sat in the front. Max showed up. He was pretty inconspicuous at first. Kahn showed up. He had a pretty amazing presence. Max started talking. His energy felt rather relaxed and quiet to me. He wasn't used to speaking in front of a large crowd(something like 100 people) Once Max started talking things took off. When he got going it was mind blowing. He talks at an even pace but just keeps going. It doesn't seem like he talks fast but he just covers so, so much. We talked about stuff like alchemy, Taoism, Tibetan Buddhism, martial arts. He talked about his most powerful teachers who are woman. He said they don't teach other men beside him. He said his woman teachers make his abilty look like nothing. He showed us a picture of one of his teachers(a woman). She had wild eyes and a mustache He did a demo with Kahn. He basically brought Kahn to exctatic states of bliss and then beat him up Kahn was an amazing "uke". For someone his size his movment is amazing. He was waaaaaaay up in the air and would just go crashing on the floor. At one point he collapsed into the wall almost knocking over the light before Max grabbed him and pulled him up. I was rather skeptical. I thought to myself no way am I going to move like that at any point during the weekend. I have since become a believer. As far as my abilty to percieve things goes this stuff is real. The energy is very, very real. I am gradually starting to dissolve any level of doubt. I don't want to get into specifics. things have been happening. Really, really interesting things. Don't go by what I say. Don't go by what another says. Check it out for yourself. Like I said to my friends before doing this. I will go to the seminar then have an opinion afterwards. In my opnion you can't fake this. No way.

It's all good. People hold whatever views they want. If someone wants to check Max out check him out. If they want to think it's bs think it's bs and write him off. It's just that simple to me. Follow your path.

I honestly could care less who Sifu Max studied with. He is a Master. The guy is a Dragon. I don't want to say too much but when your body is bouncing a few feet in the air and you have lost all sense of yourself and then some dude lightly taps you from behind and you come back down and then feel like you are magnetically glued to your seat it sort of puts the term "have a beginners mind" into a whole new light. If anyone else that attended the workshop wants to say anything great but that's all from me for awhile. It is going to take a little for me to formulate some coherent thoughts about this. Cameron

I think it is better not to compare different teachers or schools. Especially when you have long time posters like Sunshine who study with a certain school. To compare and say this system or this teacher is better is a little rude I think. We all know how people have presented themselves and there practices on this board .It's pretty obvious stuff. Better to just swim to the practices or teachers your attracted to like a fish in the water and not even bother about these things. To be honest, I had no desire or wish to even talk about David Shen stuff but these things were sort of thrown in our face by whoever posted the Jiang Sifu videos. How could we not discuss it after that? namaste

I asked Matra68 if the first 100 days of Kunlun 1 can be combined with other qigong practices since I am doing a 3 day workshop with another Taoist Master in November. He hasn't responded yet but my guess is it's porbably best to stick to the Kunlun for the first months .As far as the sexual practice as far as I can tell Lama Dorje's advice in the book is the same as what Mantak Chia teaches, basically draw the energy up.

I usually just sit indoors at home but have some pictures of a weekend retreat I did couple months ago in the phote section sititng outside in nature. Sitting by a flowing stream under beautiful trees with light rain(not heavy rain) is awesome. Also..today in Scottsdale there was few minutes of light rain with the sun and I thought there was going to be a rainbow but there wasn't. Light rain in the desert with a rainbow overhead is pretty amazing energy. I am not crazy about sitting on the beach so much. I really enjoy going up to Sedona when I have time and the weather is beautiful. From what little I have seen of Hawaii that would probably be pretty amazing place to cultivate.

I think that this should be the official song of Level 1 Kunlun practice. Someone should video people bouncing around at the seminar with this song in the backround and post it on Youtube. Only with Lama Dorje's permission of course. link ps. Can someone explain to me how to embed the clips?

I should say I hope that will be the trend in the future. Sounds like that will be the case with Sean D announcing that there will be a US seminar next year. Anyway..may we all find the practice to help us on our paths...looks like Kunlun might be the one I was looking for.

This is an interesting issue. From one point of view, it's interesting to see this "leaked" material and seems pretty harmless. Just like..cool...there is a high level Master burning things with his energy. From another point of view we know dealing with the David Shen crowd that this can't be good for them. It is based on respect and secrecy and everthing being very hush hush and now you have one of the Masters-who I am guessing doesn't appreciate being put on Youtube-doing demonstraitons for the whole world to see. What I am so looking forward to in studying with Lama Dorje that you have what looks like a super high level Master openly teaching and not holding back anything. I hope this will be the trend more and more in the future. Maybe from that perspective it was inevitable that this kind of thing came out. Like Lama Dorje says in his book it is time for the west to learn from the east. The only thing is..is it really that secret? I mean..didn't Thomas Cleary translate "Opening Dragon Gate", the biogrophy of Wang Liping, years ago? From what I can gather speaking with David Shen's students and reading posts on there discussion board Wang Liping is the most highly advanced of all of them. He is like the top of all those Masters David Shen stidies with. If Thomas Cleary already wrote a book about him and people in the west have studied with him-wasn't there a recent post about some woman student of his in Europe? Is it really that big of a secret. I understand that it's probably just not respectful for them to download footage of these guys all over the internet. I guess that is aprt of what made the Magus of Java go back underground. But if your opening yourself to western people coming with there video cameras and filming you isn't this the kind of thing that would happen? Anyway..it looks like they are bringing some people here next year to teach there practice. If Sifu Max is going to be as awesome as I think he is I will most likely stick with that but that is good they are planning a US retreat for people who can't go to Europe or China.

Right. But wasn't the specific question on what TTC is as far as a meditaiton guide? I have no idea if it's true or not but BK Frantzis does in fact claim it is basically the foundation of his system(The Water Method) My guess..if I have to guess..is TTC is just some beautiful poetry written by an enlightened guy. I think these questions are somewhat valid though. Sort of like you like to know who Buddha was speaking to or what he was speaking about. But I totally agree with you in the end it's just about your own cultivation. Let the scholars worry about who wrote what for who and why and when

The "problem" if any problem exists to begin with is most Taoists don't agree on TTC. For example, BK Frantzis, if I am not mistaken, says his lineage is a direct unbroken transmission from Lao Tzu down the many centuries to his teacher and then to him. If you buy that, then he is the one to talk to or study with on TTC practice. Then you have some Taoists like Taomeow here on TB's who say TTC is more like an outdated manuscript written for a specific purpouse(advice to a leader on how to rule a nation). I am sure I will get another wonderful perspective when I get to study with Wudang Taoist Master Chen and Ken Cohen this year and they will give there views on TTC..which I am guessing will probably be more the view I will personally subscribe to(whatever it is). namaste.

Cool. What do you think when Sifu calls it awakening the "Dragon Body" in the book? Sort of feels like that to me..awaking the inner Dragon inside or something?

The Phoenix date is perfect by the way the weekend before that one of my main teachers from the Advaita stream is going to be in town and I wouldn't want to have to choose between them. With the date you chose I don't have to! namaste
