Also, Jeannies 8 year old daugher, Sophia, has written a poety book, Wild Child poetry. I havent met her, but Jeannie considers her 8 year old daugher one of her teachers, on par or even more so than Pamela Wilson and Adyashanti(her main teachers). Check it out! wild child poetry

There are probably different criteria to measure what 'awake' means. Different people(expecially here at taobums ) probably define things a little differently. From my way of seeing things at this time..awakening means awakening out of the illusion of seperation to the truth of oneness. Or to put it even more simply..awakening to reality. Now..are there different stages and levels and depths of awakening to reality? Probably. Why not? It makes sense there would be a deeping or further opening of what has been realized. For whatever it's worth...of the people I have studied with so far in my life I would call Adyashanti and Jeannie Zandi 'awake'. I am also looking forward to being in the presence of Eckhart Tolle who from what I have seen(not much) is most definetly awakened. namaste.

I don't do it much anymore but I got alot out of water therapy also. Just gulping down 1.5 liters of room temperature water first thing in the morning. Might be a nice thing to do once or twice a week of not every day if you have "problems" with that. link

Have you ever listened to "Bodhisattva Vow" from the Beatie Boys? I listen to hip hop all the time. link

No experience but it's interesting you bring it up as some friends from the Adyashanti gatheirngs were telling me about this. My initital reaction from the little they told me is Ime not interested..and from what they said sounds cultish. But I don't have any idea what it's about.

hehehe..how are your TCM studies going? My teacher gave us different words to use to sum up these things. All the pain we feel and in the world we call "OUCH" All the struggle and reaching out to others we call "HELP" And when I don't know the answer I say "DUUUUUUUUUUUUH" There are others to I think that I don't remember right now To your question I would respond with DUUUUUUUUH It's not a sarcastic Duh..it's sort of like the primordial Duh..or something. namaste.

Some nice inquiry going down here. Here is another perspective I heard from Adyashanti. Hopefully it will be of some help. We mostly see ourselves outside of the church and trying to bang on the door to let us in. When in reality we already are inside the church facing away from the inside of it and banging on the door. Like..the banging on the door to "get somewhere" is the problem. We already dwell in the sacred. We live and have our being in God every moment and anywhere we may seemingly go. It's like...we need to stop banging on the door of the church(that we are already inside of)and stop to look behind us and see we are already there! Put a whole different perspective on struggling and striving and hitting on doors to get answers for me. Full stop

I don't know too much about this tradition..I have read bits and pieces of Hermetic philosophy..or Egyptian philosophy..whatever you call this. The best I can come up with in regard with what I am personally interested in is when Shakyamuni Buddha sat in meditation completely determined to awaken. The way Adyashanti explains this as all the "demons" or whatever you call them appeared in Buddhas mind he got to the point where anything..no matter how scary or terrible..resulted in no response. "You will die"....so what "Your family and loved ones will suffer forever"...so what "You will be torn limb from limb"...so what And of course all the other ego torments..raging storms of mind..probably including every facet of human existence. So..I don't know if that relates to the "war" between the dark or light..to me it's more like you need to go through a stage where all wars are off. All attachments and battles and dualistic energies within you drop away and your inherent shining true nature is able to be seen. But I don't think there is too much point to even talking about this intellectually as these are all just the by product of emptiness meditation. You go to the ground of being and all these battles rooted in egoic illusion for the past million or whatever years is just seen through. Like a long, bad movie you watched for so long you forgot was a movie and I don't even want my money back just the freedom to leave the congested theatre. Or something

Rooting practice is fun. I have no idea what level I am. Sometimes I have coworkers or friends push me for fun. The people I know who are really strong in this it's literally like pushing against a tree or something. I am guessing the secret then is to become as much like a tree as you can. Hence all the standing like a tree practice in IMA. From what I here of people like Kenny Gong or O'Sensei if you tried to push or move them would be just like trying to move a wall.

Yeah...Ime going out into nature for a few days this week to explore that I don't exist thing

Looks good Buddy. I have been too busy to train lately but was training with Kenny Gong disciple here in Arizona. He was just beginning teaching me the 5 element forms and Bagua circle walking(the first palm change I beleive?) when I baled out. I may get back to it though. It's definetly a cool practice.

Nope! But this feels like the right direction
