Taoist meditation, any differences to other meditation practices?
Mak_Tin_Si replied to Agape's topic in General Discussion
Okay, so I am seeing that you are looking for "TAOISM" practise right? In Taoism, we do not just sit and meditate (as is sit and wait). We do meditation with a reason and just like how you do practise for kungfu for a reason. Ex. you stretch your legs and do horse stance for empower your stance and building up internal energy etc,. So we do things for a reason. Once you achieved that, then you move on to the next practise. Therefore, there is no one-method-for-the-whole-life. For that reason, you do need to learn under a master and a lineage that teach you the method in a right order with many other knowledges. Reading these doctrine is very little in Taoism study. You can refer to my post about what Taoism is about in the whole system, then you will know. If you are interested in learning, I am a taoism master who host a temple in Canada. You can do online distance enrollment and learnings from the lineage. If you want to see how others who learned from me in this forum, you can look into Rodgerj's post, he just learned less than a week. But you can see how he have experienced in this basic practise he have learned. Mak Tin Si -
Why I gravitated to Taoism (over other traditions)
Mak_Tin_Si replied to Agape's topic in General Discussion
To the above - Yes, you cannot really learn anything by jumping around schools and find bits and pieces of all. This method is very foolish and a waste of time. You can ask ANY kungfu masters or people who are good at kungfu about this too. If you try to look at video, books, vcd, dvd, and then go to kungfu shows, online search, jump around schools to learn all bits and pieces. What you end up with in 10years is just rubbish. Instead of going here and there, stay in one good master's hand, learn his essesnce, you will gain really ALOT in 10yrs. There are just so many hidden knowledges, methods and even ways to practise. In Chi in Nature's lineage, stage 1, we call the student "moon sung" meaning a student at the door. This is because to learn anything in chinese culture like taoism, kungfu, medic etc,. You must first enrolled into the school, like "going inside through the door". So when you go in the door, you become a moon sung. After you go in, then you can have the choice to go inside more or find any rooms you like to study etc,. If you just stare outside into the house, what can you see? -- The saying "you are a buddha, you just didn't know" is used wrong in this case. This saying is to say that we are all connected to the pre-heaven stage and energy, which we do not know because this ability is quickly deteriated when you are are born as a baby. Then now, it is all closed up. So to be able to find and activate this ability again, to re-connect to the pre-heaven stage, you must first KNOW WHAT TO DO to reconnect and find your own buddha energy. Or so called pre-heaven energy. This in taoism is not a thing that is open to public. It is a highly confidential secret method. How you an outsider can get this? The first thing you find when you can get this stage is that you can see and communicate with other dimensions. Which will proof to yourself that there ARE buddha and god in the other dimension. Also there are ghosts and spirits in another dimension. You can see through the world without the limit of dimension and communicate with them. That is call blended in nature. Connected to the pre-heaven stage. Can you do that? If not then you are not a buddha yet and not really know about this yet. This thing cannot be learn by yourself, you must know that you are not those who have devoted their whole life 24/7 to trianing, so there is no way you can get it yourself. This is done by a serious practise, with methods taught from your masters, for a long period of time. Mak Tin Si -

R.J. Very nice of you to have the heart to share your experience with others here. Which really let people have a feeling of how Taoism training is under the lineage of Ng Yin do Pai (chi in nature). Now, let me give some of my feelings about this student RJ. - RJ is a good student, with respect and good intention for learning. I can see that he do have passion and potential in Taoism learning and he do really like to learn the Chinese wisdom, including how to say the poem in Chinese in just one day. Keen student. I can see that he do practise some sort of chi gung in the past, but the methods do have brought him off track somehow. Which I as his master will try my best to assist him on the right track again later and empower his whole energy enginee. Good luck to his practise and wish him success. If by chance he have got higher in the lineage and became a real taoist with a taoism name, I would be very proud of him. He can show people now that distance learning of Taoism works and it is very powerful and effective too. Mak Tin Si

I think most of you have mistaken and mix up the meaning of "scripture" and "bible in christian" Maybe that is why all of you kind of against scriptures, chantings and fu... But I will be talking about it more later on so maybe whoever want to know ill get to know the truth behind.

I do see so. Who saw me saying things like "bump" and "the annoying ch igung" etc,? I never stopped anybody from posting their information on other subjects like chi gung, meditation, yoga whatever. I am just posting mine. If you have nothing to post over time, does it mean this forum shall remain silence? I saw other forums which are not active, they are like dead city, 1-2 post per month, you think that is what you want here too? I have 10 post per day, you can do 20, but please, post something that is informational, don't be so childish and play with "bumps" or "votes", you are not communist.

I do see that what people like to "discuss" about here nowadays. All people here like things that are "not taoism" but "hot topics and arguments", "bitching around", "bumping", these post got up so high in clicks in one day, like 500+ wow.. I was shocked and amazed. While those "intro to taoism...", "sharing of case..", "fungshui knowledges..", "Chinese cultures..." which are playing part in Taoism will not be something that people like in a "Taoism forum". No wonder the western is mostly holding on a book of DDJ like their bible. Too bad, that is how world works.
