Is Chi Something You Can feel?
Mak_Tin_Si replied to The Genuine Article's topic in General Discussion
There are two types of Chi in the world. One is call Sin Tin one is call Hau Tin. Sin Tin's type of Chi is the condensed chi from the universal energy, in the outter space. It is usually something the Taoist (officially training under a lineage) use. Taoist use these on their rituals and charms (fu) such as the big dipper's energy and the jupiter's energy etc,. Hau Tin's type of Chi is the chi from earth and the atmosphere level of earth. This is used by Chi Gung's practitioners or people who use the energy of the five elements on earth such as wicca and witchcraft people do with their curses. Both Chi could be felt by a human. The second type is easier to feel because all people have it with their body anyway. The first one is harder to feel and it takes attunement from an official master to actually gain the ability to reach the Sin-Tin Chi, which is the condensed outter space energy. Therefore, Chi is real and it is very different when you talk about Chi in Taoism and chi in the sense of Chi Gung. People people do Chi gung or Taichi the martial arts, they only need the energy from earth and the five elements. But in Taoism trianing, it is all different. -
Wu_Ji in Chinese actually means no-boundry, no-extreme, infinity and undefine. In the theory of Taichi, the way, LaoZi describe the WuJi stage as the stage when nothing have been formed in a definite shape. Therefore, people refer it to when the universe is not even formed yet. They can call that WuJi. When things starts to move, it is already going into Taichi stage. As a Taoist Master, I can share some of my experience on Taoism Practise with you. When you are going to learn the Taoism's universal energy, you are already withdrawing energy from the universe. Depending on which stage you are and what level you are training at, the further out you can reach to connect to different energy zones and withdraw the so call "faat" which is the universal energy or so called "magical energy" from there. As immortals do when they open a taoism lineage, they will reserve a zone in the universe and so that their students can input or withdraw energy to the zone. It is a secrete from long time ago but it is now easy to expalin because we are now all very scientific. The highest stage of being an immortal is call "Bak Yat Fei Sing" which is to disappear and transform yourself from this human stage into the Wuji stage, so you dissappear and go to another dimension or zone outside of the universe. That is Wuji. So nobody can go to that dimension unless you are going to train and become an immortal. That means you cannot even go on the internet and you cannot live with normal society because it is too polluted here.

Dragon Gate is a sub lineage of the Taoism School of Chuen Jan. If you want to look the history of that, you can go to other taoism web to search and you will find out the person who found the lineage of Chuen Jan. He do not emphasize in the practise of writting charms (fu) and doing much ceremonies. Also, they promote people to live in the temple with another form of living, in chinese they call this "Chut Ga" which means to be out of your own family. Dragon Gate is found later on by a student of Chuen Jan's School. They now mostly focus on doing rituals and study of life and nature. Their practise mainly focus on how to train your life to cope with nature, but that is just like how most Taoist do. On the other side, they do not emphasize on the skills on using the universal energy that taoism is specialized in by using charms (fu) and other form of practise. They usually try to get this energy by chantings and rituals. The China's government is now promoting only 2 school lineage of Taoism which are the Chuen Jan and the Jing Yat which is two very different Taoism branch. Bot of course, there are many more very powerful Taoism lineage now except for the two. Just like Maau Shan in China, is a very powerful lineage, but the China's government do not promote it, so it is not as famous.
