  1. Aluminum

The part that touches the food should not be aluminum. So if the aluminum is sandwiched between stainless that's ok. Sometimes they use copper sometimes aluminum. Also stay away from Teflon and other non stick coatings.
  2. Michael Winn's Response To Sean Denty On Ht

I don't think Sean was training long enough to make a valid judgement as to the level of what he was learning. It reminds me of born agains - my way is the best way. No training is wasted as long as you are persistant and sincere. You will learn something - then you move on. You also have to be ready to receive what is given. You're cup has to be empty. My latest teacher - who has more or less left me to my own devices after studying with him for a number of years - told me to keep practicing the basics, build the foundation. He doesn't waste his time putting others down nor do most of the other chinese I encounter. He told me to watch others and decide what is right for myself, to keep searching. He and I are interested in health. I feel I can always learn something from everyone - even if it's what not to do. I don't know anything about Michael Winn or David Shen or how substantial their teachings are. Having chakras opened or kundalini awakened is more prevelant than we think it is. There are many people who can do this - it shows a certain level of attainment - but does not necessarily cross over into the other facets of their lives and make them super beings. As mentioned by others here before, siddhis - powers, are manifestions but not or should not be the goal. So how do you decide who is your teacher. For me you have to meet them and like them as human beings and they should feel the same about you. My criteria is based on how well they move. I also assess the state of their health based on personal habits - drinking, smoking, what they eat. So if a teacher has incredible energy even though he drinks and smokes - that's ok - what he's teaching works. My standing teacher is like this. So what does everyone else look for when seeking or deciding on a teacher. One thing I have learned, no matter which way you do something there will always be someone to show you another way that they will tell you is better. It ain't necessarily so.
  3. Meditation Timer Software

I use a count up - count down kitchen timer from Radio Shack
  4. Actual Manifestation Of Chi

    That sounds like kinesiology,
  5. Peepee Snarfing

One important thing re pee drinking that mYTHISmAKER reminded me about. Never do it if you are taking medicine. I don't know if it's the same for herbs.
  6. Peepee Snarfing

Well I don't quite remember where I came across it Maybe when I was in India. It's an Ayurvedic practice. Anyway we did it for awhile out of curiousity - no earth shattering results but there really was nothing obvious we were out to cure. Now I feel it's not really necessary with my present state of health and diet. I might try it again at some point if I had something wrong and fasting and eating well wasn't working. Definately before using western drugs. It's also supposed to be good for your skin - rubbing it in. Even washed my hair with it. If you drink don't drive . Seriously you have to follow the instructions. Which part to drink - never the beginning as it contains toxins. So those of you who are curious read up on it first before drinking. Also it's cheaper than tooth soap
  7. Peepee Snarfing

Used to do it many years ago. Two books: Urine Therapy by Dr Beatrice Barnett The Water of Life by John W Armstrong If you read the labels on shampoos, lotions, drugs etc you will see that a lot of them contain bulls urine.
  8. Need Some Calmness & Acceptance

That's great. The first step in making any change is to be able to see what you don't like about yourself. The rest is a piece of cake. Meditation helps you distance yourself from yourself. You will have choice to react and not be reactive.
  9. John Chang Video

I think immortal and enlighten are interchangeable in the taoist context. Being enlightened INHO means accepting of whatever happens - being in the moment - joyful - and not just sitting on your ass.

If someone has no sense of humor stay away. High level cultivation always has time to laugh. After all the world is a cosmic joke.

  17. The 7 day raw transition challenge

We started tuesday after dinner and broke the fast with a little papaya on saturday at 6 pm. The last day I felt weak and mYHISmAKER more so. The first two days I was able to do some exercise. All in all it was good. Will probably do it again in a month or two. I lost about 5 pounds which I'm gaining back slowly. The idea of the fast was not to lose weight but to rest and heal our bodies. Dairy is not very good for you for many reasons. Best to stay away from it. Use organic BGH free only if you must use it.
  18. tooth regeneration

Interesting, however, I would need more hard evidence to believe a tooth would pop a filling out and completely reform itself. I haven't used toothpaste in over 20 years. Why use soap. I never let the dentist polish my teeth. It removes some enamel.
  19. tooth regeneration

I would love to see documented evidence. Animals in the wild don't get cavities because they don't eat the crap we do. They don't brush and they do lose teeth. And their breath ain't pretty
  20. The 7 day raw transition challenge

Completed day one of water fast. No problem

Has anyone tried pulling up other photos of people i.e a saint, guru, criminal, politician, etc and tried to feel the energy. Also with eyes covered so you don't know which picture you're looking at. I felt energy but I felt the same energy from misc photos I have around the house. Myself included. I think what we possibly feel is our own energy. When you place your hand over a picture you are making yourself more sensitive to feel something like your chi. Many years ago I was talked into sending some money to a healer in texas who was able to grow new enamel to replace silver fillings. It was supposed to have worked for a friend of a friend etc. Anyway I am suspicious of anyone who offers free healing and then says you can send me money if you are satisfied. it's a way to attract business. It is not necessary to ask.
