I agree 101%. There's something dishonest about it Just be yourself. If you start games and you want to continue a relationship you have to continue the game. Drop the game and you might get dumped - so who are you.

  3. How do you keep cool in summer? Ideas?

Some tribes wear black in the desert heat. You might want to check out why they do. Drinking celery juice is helpful.

Adverse additives. Human life versus shelf life; dreams destroyed by greed. What can we expect if we sow seeds of dis-ease in the garden? We eat fast foods fast, without thought, foods canned frozen irradiated dead de-vitalized, to the consequences. The time and money, we think we save, is lost to sickness, and a shortened life of lesser quality. Brainwashed, we believe no one could, and the government never would, allow anyone to sell us anything ominous. Innocent, trusting, too lazy to take responsibility for our-selves, and set examples for our children, we bury our heads in the sand, foolishly hoping the bogeyman will go away while our hearts know the truth: Our body is a field in which the harvest is quite visible. There is no love, or care, in fast food.
  6. Cleansing the Eyes

My eye doctor recommended colloidal silver 500 ppm for red eyes and eye infections. diluted with water I part colloidal silver 9 parts water BTW my eye doctor is a genius. He invented a machine for vision training. I've trained with him a number of times and no glasses. He trains pilots and athletes along with us common folk. He recently moved to seattle. His site lists other practitioners who do his training. http://www.accommotrac.com/index.html

Poets are often eaten alive; their flesh can be quite tender. At one time I ate dead bodies with the best of them, never fully understanding the implications and the pain of how they arrived at my table. Then one day the desire, to eat empty houses of souls who have left or been forced to evacuate, was gone. What to do? With no effort, not knowing how or why; just as some people no longer wish to work, brush their teeth, exercise, or swim in the sea in dead of winter, my desire left me. What to do? I imagine human beings as quite tasty and would just as soon eat a cow, a cat, a dog, a pig, as a poet. So why the fuss. Sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat to the sounds of vegetables screaming! What to do?

  15. Interesting Book

Sean good for you. Great post Sounds like you made a real connection. Don't be concerned with how long it takes to learn a form. As I'm sure you know it's the process - the path that's important.
  16. The Secret of Conscious Co-Creation

Some thoughts Perhaps as we become in tune with the universe and are able to witness our actions we cease to perform those actions which are harmful to us. We do not engage others as we did before. However, I don't think things happen as we wish - we become more accepting. We have some control on a personal level. We see circumstances from another perspective. Life is not necessarily easier for an enlightened being - we cannot control the larger picture. We have a body we suffer. Before enlightenment we have a wild mind we suffer. We can come to a point where we no longer create hurtful karma. We must pay for past karma.

Michael is right. If you learn to drive a stick you can drive anything thus more options. I prefer a stick. Whenever I rent that's my preference. Better gas mileage. It becomes second nature.
  19. SI joint

Might try D-Flame by NOW or something similiar if there's joint inflammation. Should be taken on an empty stomach or two hours aftr eating. Can eat 20 minutes afterward. The instructions say with meals but it will not be as effective. Here's the webb site of Ginny Nadler who teaches how to open up from your core to correct imbalances in your structure. http://www.bodywisdom.biz/body.html Don't know if she's in your friends area. You can always email her to see if she knows someone where you live. Core therapy with Liz Koch also might help - I took a workshop a number of years ago. I did get more from Ginney though.
  20. Interesting Book

I'm half way through. If you can study with Fong Ha jump at the chance. He will teach you to stand. And he's right down the street! Are you waiting for him to move in with you I stand an hour a day in wu wei. I was taught by one of my teachers who lives in China. I did some standing before on my own from Kam Chuens book The Way of Energy. Best to have a teacher to show you the subtleties. One may think they are in alignment when in actuality they are not Standing will really root you and heal your body A great practice. Even if you decide not to study with Fong Ha check out his school and push hands so you can see for yourself that it's real and not hypnosis. He has a few videos on the web site you posted. See how effortlessy he moves the student
  21. Hello

I have been following this site for quite awhile and have gotten a lot of useful information. It's not often that one comes across a group of inquiring minds who are doing work on themselves and are not fixed and are open to new ideas. Everyone gets along so well. My interests are internal practices and self development. My present practices are tai chi chuan and standing.
  22. Green For Life book review

When I changed my eating habits i went from one bowel movement every other day to one to two per day sometimes more. Processed devitalized foods are one cause. Another would acid binding foods. A good way to deal with your belly swelling after you eat would be for you to try a water fast for one or two days - nothing but water and lots of it. This will give your stomach a chance to rest and heal itself. When you reintroduce food don't overeat and be careful not to eat too many types of food at one time

`One table spoon of flax seeds ground fresh in a moulinex coffee grinder and sprinkled over a fruit salad is a good source of fiber. It might thicken up too much in a blended drink - haven't tried it.
  24. Linear Time

Is the above statement intellectual or experiential.
  25. Linear Time

You are right it is more complicated. Perhaps too complicated for me. I'm simply stating my experience - observations. When I was in the army a day was like a year. When I went to reserve meetings once a month it was as if I had never left. After five minutes it seemed as though I had no other life. The weekend was like an eternity. There was nothing I could do to make the time go faster and believe me I tried. If I start reading posts or responding to them the night is gone and I didn't get anything else done.
