  1. Kunlun Level 1

I don't own a cell phone. neither does mYTHISmAKER. A lot of people think they are safe by using an extension ear piece. The phone will do it's damage where ever it is placed against the body. They do sell gizmos - for lack of a better word - which you place on the phone to disapate the charge.
  2. cross-cultural relationships

The superficial can be important in sustaining a long term relationship We are attracted to people outside our culture because they are exotic. Yin - yang. You can never truly understand someone if you have language differences, cultural differences, too great age differences. Of course there will be exceptions.
  3. Huge free resource

    Thank you Buddy
  4. Radio Shack makes an inexpensive kitchen timer which counts either up or down. It has a quiet beep which is not disturbing. It also stops beeping after apxox five beeps so you can continue your meditation or yoga pose if so inclined.
  5. Kunlun Seminars

New york is the best place for any practice. When you come down from the mountain top the you test yourself in New York. Why not do your sadhana where you can't get away with anything. The story of the yogi who thinks he's accomplished and comes to the town - someone steps on his toe and he gets pissed off. All the heavies are in or come to New York. Peace is inside. INMYHO

Time to meditate on how you present yourself to others. Talk to your dad and tell him your sorry and be respectful. See yourself as you dad sees you. He might be afraid around you as you may present yourself as a loose cannon.
  7. Got this e mail today

    Hats off to Aiwei. Beautiful
  8. on the topic of gurus

A living guru is necessary as he / she won't let you get away with anything. If you chose a guru who is no longer in their body you have room to rationalize a lot of your actions. The bottom line is the guru is within you - you are the guru - but you have to do a bit of traveling to get to this place. At this point all your actions will be right. You know the truth.
  9. Weird Stuff at Work

A good practice for work while sitting at your desk: Practice sitting in a good posture elongating your spine as you sit. Make sure your knees are higher than your qua so you can really feel the crease. Head floating each vertabrae open. You may have to sit forward in your chair. Don't rest against the back of the chair. Be relaxed don't hold a stiff posture. Let your breathe sink to your tan tien by placing your attention there. Check out pictures of the masters seated to really get the idea.
  10. Weird Stuff at Work

If you bend over slowly pidgeon toed - toes a few inches apart - you will feel yor hips and lower back open. Go only to where you feel a stretch. The idea is not to bend as far as you can but just to the stretch. This is helpful in releasing pain in the back.
  11. qinqong

We go once a week and do both NSA and SRI.
  12. Sun of God

    Good one
  13. qinqong

NSA is great. Have been doing it for about 2 years. Took a week long with Donnie in mexico last year.
  14. TV

I watch tv 3 nights a week. We have a Time Warner box where we can tape two shows at a time or tape one and watch one. We fly thru the commercials. An hour show is only about 45 minutes or less. A 30 minute show maybe 20 minutes. Also can stop the show and pee or get something to eat. Right now am hooked on the Sopranos. I love to iaugh. South Park is funny and profound. The artwork is first class. English comedy is great - only problem is I can't understand them They should have subtitles. A good mystery is also fun. So You Think You Can Dance was pretty good. Travel shows are also a favorite. There are a few martial art shows where they travel and train in different modalities. Gangaji airs tapes of here talks and workshops - she is right on.
  15. I had mine removed over a period of time. If a filling needed replacing I would have that done and the one next to it. All the replacements were either gold or porcelain. Composites were used only where necessary. I used a regular dentist. He used a capture dam and an assistant was right in there with heavy duty suction. Any good dentist should be familiar with the proper protocol. I personaly feel it is too traumatic to rush and have them all done at once.
  16. Lao Tzu way of meditation?

In other words being in the moment.
  17. more gray hair research

They are women and therefore not bald.
  18. more gray hair research

Didn't you read the disclaimer in the beginning of the book? It only reverses grey hair until the age of 31. As I have said before I know a couple of people who have been doing the 5 Tibetans for at least 15 years and they are grey. Also didn't work for me. Some people apply the supplements to their hair
  19. meditation poll

    Gray hair can be beautiful.
  21. Taoist Ethics for taoist PUA

Ohh I'm crushed. You pose and you pose and you pose. So she decides you are relationship material - keep on posing or you lose it. I always did well being myself but not eveyone is talented, good looking and fun to be with. I guess some of you just have to pose.
  22. Taoist Ethics for taoist PUA

If you play games you might get laid but you will never have a relationship.
  23. What to practice? knowing or knowing?

He who knows, knows not. he who doesn't know, knows.
