Youtube has soaring crane video clips shot in China http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b-6f2jp1Kg...ted&search=

Did they practice in traffic I have trouble believing this, I did a google and came up with nothing. The only reference to banned qigong is falun gong. There are many articles stating how soaring crane is used in hospitals in china. If it was banned it would be written up somewhere

I would like to know how everyone ends their stillness meditation. Do you move in a special way or just get up and walk away. I am especially interested in how you end standing.
-
The form is banned in China - how strange. The walking was a moving form. From a web site "This form is a higher level of Chinese Soaring Crane Qigong. The practitioner walks in certain patterns and postures, incorporating the traditional Chinese "Ba-gua" figure and the basic principles of Crane Style Qigong."
-
After the five forms I did some spontaneous standing (Zifagong) Is the sixth form the walking form. I didn't do this

Not you silly. I did practice soaring crane for a few years.

Even though you don't have much time I would advise looking for a teacher near where you live. See if you can be taught a basic simple form that wouldn't take too much time to learn. eight brocades and soaring crane qigong are two that come to mind. Most people can't learn from a tape or book. You may think you are doing something correctly but the oddds are you are not. One can't see the movement in a book and when viewing a tape it is usually opposite when we face the screen. A class once a week to learn the basics and a correction class once in a while would suffice. You will learn faster as it would take you longer to learn on your own.

Never ever step on a crack if you know what's good for you. Sometimes there is a fine line between taboo and superstition.

Yes many people think tai chi is for old people. Even in China they say it is for old people. It makes sense in a way as one usually sees old people in the park playing the form. What is overlooked is that they are old and able to play the form because they started when they were young. Those that didn't are not out there because they are either infirm or no longer with us.

otherwise known as the transitions between forms

What is this world in which you presently live. Could this be your personal world and those in your world. Not the world of the rest of us.

Don't think. Gently put your attention, your awareness there. -

Do you think there is a balance point where both cancel each other out. If so what is left. -

You can hold a broom stick against the back of your head and lower back to make sure you are not hollowing your back. Move appropriately to fill in and adjust your posture. When I breath in my belly I am relaxed. Re: penis slapping I know there's a joke in there somewhere. You didn't answer re your teacher correcting you. The best way to get it is to have some one check you out in person. Why don't you post your picture so we can check your posture. -
I have a theory re the Mayan Calendar. They ran out of rock. A hard drive can hold just so much info. It is the end of a cycle so it was a good place to stop. You can take my word the world will not end in 2012, if it does you can sue me. The world will surely be different than it is now but everything is different today than it was a hundred years ago and today is different from yesterday. By the time you read this many things will have changed. Does it really matter what the IChing says re the world ending que sera - work on your self so you will be ready for death. It might not wait for 2012.

Does your teacher do a good horse stance. He should be able to guide you. Don't try for depth - go only as far as you can without protruding your knees or slanting your back. Your qua - hip joint will eventually open. For qi gong standing you only need your knees bent slightly like you are sitting on a high stool. Check out the book thelerner recommended. For belly breathing relax and place your attention on your belly. Your breath will automatically go there. -

I sat for an hour a day for about 20 years pretty much every day. I took a bit of a break and did standing half hour a day for six months. Took another break. I did some soaring crane qi gong for about a year where you stand at the end of the routine for maybe 20 minutes. Took a break. Started standing for an hour a day for the past year and a half. Recently I've been sitting sporadically. Presently I prefer standing to sitting. I usually stand wu wei arms at sides - observing I don't do any conscious heavenly circles etc. Just let whatever happens happen. -
Never heard of it - here's a google # 1 Grace Jamaican Style Irish Moss Sea Moss Drink, 9.6 fl. oz. This product is in the form of a Liquid and is packaged in a Can. See all 10 products made by Grace. Ingredients: Water, Cane Sugar, Dried Glucose Syrup, Thickener: Modified Food Starch, Natural Flavoring: Seaweed Extract, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Salt, Dried Whey, Sodium Caseinate, Artificial Flavoring, Nutmeg, Acidity Regulator, Emulsifier, Colors, Turmeric. Vanilla Flavor. This has sugar + glucose will give a feeling of energy. Too many unknowns colorings and flavorings, Acidity regulator is a strange one. Hydrogenated vegetable oil is a no no for me. #2 Much simplier Jamaican Sea Moss Drink (*1) - traditional Jamaican Drink. Makes 1 litre. Need : 15g carrageen 1.3 litre 1 cinnamon stick 2 tsp linseed (optional) 1 x 400g can of condensed milk few drops vanilla essence nutmeg How about wheat grass juice for jing. It's make up is pretty close to human blood Both Chlorophyll and Hemoglobin share a similar atom structure to create the there respective molecules. The only actual difference in the two molecules is that of the metallic atom element. In human blood or hemoglobin consists of iron, while in Chlorophyll the metallic atom is magnesium. Since Chlorophyll and Hemoglobin are so much alike in atom structure it allows it to be absorbed quickly and begin to rebuild the blood stream.
