I would like to see you eventually, over a long period of time, shed these trappings of what passes for reason in terms of recreational philosophy.❤ Complete Reality has nothing to do with philosophy. I can tell by your choice of words that you have no basis to discuss the nature of reality of adepts, buddhas, saints and sages. Really. This is not a matter of intellect. This is in reference to Lao Tzu's 45th chapter, taking its opening line. The state of functional selflessness seems incomplete because reality itself is the storehouse of potential inasmuch as creation has no remainder in it or without it. There is no thing, much less any thing more …or a next thing— there is no reply. One cannot really speak of one or the other without taking up both at once~ this is the truth of complete reality. The didactic use of the one over the other is spent in terms of passing through into living the way of buddhas. It is fine as an introduction or an allusion~ but if one evolving enlightening being necessarily departs ramifications, the force of one's distinctions of self are left behind. Don't be sad! It's like being wonderfully naked yet not without footwear~ this is enlightening being's nod to our karmic debt. And that is all there is to the notion of bodhisattvic activity. It is not a stage, but a functional capacity. Shoes isn't implying action incurring functional identity— it is simply the fact of sameness within difference. This is Suchness, neither being nor nonbeing. Taoists call it complete reality. When you come to the functional practice of selfless realization, the fact that reality seems less than full is the unmistakeable talisman of perpetual self-refreshing pristine aware nature. Entry into the inconceivable is not a matter of sudden realization, but the tacit fusion of one's aware nature in seamless incipience with creative evolution. What is perfectly still and able to govern the world is the pivot of creation, the seat of your own mind. All wonders precipitate from this, so this is what one must be able to observe without regression into mundane routines of following the conditional aspect revolving around habitual personalistic interpretations of self and other. It never ceases to amaze how recreational philosophers can take Lao Tsu's passage and come up with political strategies for kings. A sage is a king of kings who doesn't do anything, which is a metaphor for awakened mind. Political science is rot. I'm not saying what it is, just how it is to be a partner of creation without being subject to it's cloying ramifications. The ageless thesis is called On Freedom. It has no words yet I speak of it. The working of subtle principle isn't limiting enlightened response to formulaic treatment of partiality as complete on its own terms while mitigating personality, simply because it is not an issue in terms of effective transcendent function. But more importantly one goes on without further assuming psychological postures based on grasping habitually conceptualized notions which have forever only served to satisfy a self-perpetuating and insularly self-reflecting relationship conjoined in an incipience emerging as self-identified sense-stimuli. Entry into mundanity is the stultification of one's conscious knowledge in seamless incipience within created karmic cycles of thought, action and retribution. You are not what your senses are telling you. You are not phenomena; neither is phenomena happening to a separate you. Sensory perception is not relative to personalistic intellectual and emotional identity. The organs of sense have no volition, yet personality attributes conditions through the organs of sense as an extension, a validation of personality. This is error. The world is not out there. There is no distance. There is no knowledge in realization because all it contains is openness, yet this knowledge is immediacy itself. Subtle principle is just the function of the absolute coming from within the relative. That which is not apparent is specifically hidden and inherent within phenomena itself. So we relate to creation independent of sense-stimuli. How? We let it go. That's how we practice. That's why we practice. After a long time, it doesn't stick. This very impersonal yet tacit relationship is uncanny in its immediacy. The world knows when it no longer sticks because you yourself are no longer a sticking point. It is the world missing you that makes complete reality seem incomplete. But who would dare solicit further involvement? Don't dare trifle with Mother Nature once you have evolved beyond suckling her multifarious fecundity and now partner in the capacity to go along with changes without being subject to Change itself. Though Lao Tzu's verse is an apt description, there is none the less another allusion that may not be obvious. When one's function is not one's person, the totality of enlightening perception seems lacking and one's great state of perpetual self-refreshing pristine aware nature has no intrinsic implication. Nothing happens, is happening, is going to happen beyond the immediacy of presence inherent in the situation itself which is you right now. Stabilization within reality is spontaneously adapting in terms of the relative perspective, but it does not look that way in terms of the relative. Actually, inconceivable response is manifest by virtue of the apparent aspect in terms of its inherent potential chronically attributed to process; this "no reply" seems incomplete because you do not do it. You were fired from that job when you just walked out one fine day …didn't anyone tell you? heehee!! This is why there is no further karmic evolution by enlightening being. Coming from within the relative is the same as picking out the real from the false in terms of taoist immortalism. This is the work of alchemy. Lao Tzu is immortalism. Now you know. Energy-work is for those who are about to die~ or for those who do not yet know how to live. Are you on the verge of death? Your exquisite impersonal aware living potential energy is on the verge of action in perpetuity; therefore it has never acted. It is all totally natural is all I can say. It is not a matter of seeing your nature. One's assimilation to the tao results in seeing your nature. Sudden realization is just reaching a point of critical mass; one neither begins or stops here. One then simply goes on to advance practice, which only amounts to a subtle change in emphasis in terms of adapting to ordinary situations no different than before one sees one's nature. So in terms of… Quote Reality is just as you see it every day. But when one no longer follows personalistic interpretations relative to self and other habitually and conjuring up scenarios of outcomes of complacent speculation unconsciously, one begins to see reality in terms of potential. Not acting on potential is what reality consists of. The absolute does absolutely nothing; so instead of following creation and blindly involving self and other in speculative machinations, enlightening being just adapts to conditions as they present themselves without acting— this is the meaning of impersonally adapting to situations as is… this is selfless response. Taoism's stealing potential is just this saving energy of buddhism. Identical meaning. Actually you neither go along nor don't go along, because somehow, you stand aside situations as creative evolution passes you by under the power of its own momentum. Karma is a kinetic gravitational planetary process based on action. Enlightening being has no momentum of its own as it is the pervasion of the light itself. This is the basis of the function of the Virtue of the Receptive— When you finally stop and are freed from karmic momentum, you take over this function of spontaneous adaption spontaneously. Reality is the totality of impersonally aware unity. Not even nothing exists. As I said, entry into the inconceivable just is. As one stops going along with the momentum of karmic evolution by losing the quality of speed and weight relative to the energy and mass of being, one simply stops keeping up with it. The physical realm is a dull reflection of the properties inherent within transcendent nonbeing. This is why you already know the story somehow. When you see your nature, just this is familiarity itself. When you see it for what it is you realize it is you without beginning— your essential nature is unborn. It is awareness itself: it is the unattributable. The fact that you exist is a separate minor mystery compared to reality itself. But the fact remains that creation is no different. That's why all beings are already this enlightened aware nature to begin with. This is why nothing is gained by complete perfect enlightenment. As far as releasing potential from karmic evolution goes, it is enlightening activity in the midst of ordinary affairs. it is the alchemic process itself. It is not a matter of doing weird things to get enlightened— it is just how enlightening being functions and no one knows why. It is the everyday ordinary function of enlightening beings in terms of reversing the light. When you don't follow creative evolution you are freeing potential from the matrix of karmic awareness just like that. It just means you do not use consciousness to create illusion where there was none to begin with. Reality is mind itself. If you can see potential, you gain the power of your inherent enlightening function within it and no longer use potential to go along with changes as you create them because you no longer create them. As long as you don't see your mind, your essential nature, and instead go along with co-created situations and their nefarious gravitational ramifications, you are only drowning in the abyss of Samsara. it is suuuuch a subtle turn. The light is one. Seeing potential is just realizing the fact that there is nothing to act on. There is no thing~ that's not just ultimately, it's right now, right here. ed note: three typos and counting… Eeeeeeeee!!

Getting to the point of return (reincarnation) or not not mattering is a process in and of itself. The point is, it doesn't matter if you want to or not; one simply chooses not to choose as you have~ how wonderful!! The point of ignorant fearful motivations to the contrary, fearsome love will get you far, Sri❤ One such as you could very well transcend the whole issue~ but do look into it as you are so doing because it is a very abysmal hop, skip and jump (and not in a bad way).

If mods did what r v says is so simple according to OPs wishes there would be no need for this thread. Philosophical discussion is one thing, expounding Complete Reality is another. How can mods be objective without first seeing their nature to open their dharma eye and see objective reality? And we don't have any of those yet, to my knowledge. The only time time anyone's thread was cleaned up at a poster's request (not even the OP) on a grand scale with resultant hoopla was when mod Taomeow was corrected by me on mod SereneBlue/Random/Pands'a thread titled Taoist Lineages. To this day, those removed posts in the thread started for me by SereneBlue do not credit SereneBlue for starting the thread. Also, a few of those posts disappeared and are not on either thread. Evidently, I can't talk about the basis of taoist lineages on a thread titled just that if I actually know what I'm talking about (when certain mods are involved, of course). This grand-dame clique is still going strong as evidenced by r v's steamy little mixed message PM to me when I posted on Panda's thread about her recent transmission experience. Evidently I'm not cool enough to post wis zem femme… hah! Fortunately this clique is no longer corrupting the ranks of the moderators at this time. The fact is, the mods are not qualified, in the objective sense, to carry out elimination of posts from my threads which I deem inappropriate. Since the mods cannot be impeccably objective by virtue of maturation of enlightening experience, it is simply too much to ask of them~ not to mention the added workload and drudgery of carrying out the mechanics of their webmastery… non? Believe me, I wish (and have done so for a long time) that what r v's comment says above is actually possible~ but it's not.

Sinking into it is finding out what happened in the end, which is just finding out one's destiny in terms of perpetual arrival moment to moment. When I ask myself when this begins, how can I answer? Ultimately there is no thing, temporally there are endless transformations. Practice for me is going along with situations without any ideas pertaining to speculative outcomes which can only serve to perpetuate the circumstantial temporal identity~ and that ain't practice! In essence, when one's practice is just this, one's destiny is up to one's self alone because there is nothing outside of oneself. Outside of open sincerity, I couldn't say what practice is other than seeing reality as is without projecting psychological interpretations of picking and choosing.

No one has mentioned Diminishing, the 41st hexagram. And I'd been waiting some time… so I'll go ahead with this. Joy is the primal gua, having been mentioned at the beginning and the end. Daughter under Mountain is Diminishing. For the 16th to result in 41st, there are four changing lines. Both gua contain Earth, Mountain and Thunder. Earth and Mountain are related; Earth being the elder. Thunder is the Voice of Heaven. Thunder is the house of the ruler in the upper trigram of Joy. Standard procedure when there are four changing lines is to read the uppermost static line. In this case it is the 5th line, the heart of Thunder. But this is not enough. Going through the sequence, the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th lines are a time-line. Line 1 is "trumpeting joy bodes ill", "harmonizing with the 4th and rejoicing in this; having no real qualities in oneself, only aspiring to cleave to others. I did say in my post above that I would have never told a soul (if I'd had this experience). This is why my thread for r v, which I posted just after my second comment here, started out discussing independence from social cliques. Line 2 stands for the ultimate in darkness and stillness. As I said in my second post, the time of withdrawl is just this ultimate of darkness and stillness void of intellectualism. Line 4 is "the source of joy, there is great gain; do not doubt, companions gather. "As for those who are weak but balanced, they keep their uprightness, so do not doubt them. If you do not doubt them, then your association will grow stronger". This speaks of correct association based on weakness. True yin is solid, solitary, profound; not subject to the vagaries of the outer brightness of society. What is not to be doubted is your own true self. The companions are sense and essence. Line 6 says "Oblivion in joy is at the top. There is no blame." When you get through changes, nothing lasts. Therefore one who has transcended changes does not loose oneself in the joy of oblivion. This is not identifying with the absolute in the aftermath of realization, not sinking into emptiness. One then turns individual liberation into collective liberation. This is how there can be no blame. ——————————— Line 5 is balanced (as is line 2), so neither gets addicted to joy. This is chastity. But since it is a yin line in the fifth place, it is not correct. It gets it's strength from the 4th line, which is also not correctly placed, it manifests illness. Chaste in illness, one never dies. Not dying means one is balanced. The firmness of chastity is refining oneself in the midst of pollution (as in illness). This is a message of persistence in the face of general malaise. It's a fine thing to have an immortal looking in on Vous!!❤ As for Diminishing, the 41st gua, one diminishes anger and cupidity. What is this if not the working definition of self-refinement? Panda has her work ahead of her well-defined and well-guided, it seems…

Who realizes? …and then… and then? This is fine, really~ but are there so many silences, fluidity? NO ONE REALIZES THERE IS NO CLUE. THERE IS NO CLUE. THERE IS NO ONE.

It is the process of permanently eliminating the human mentality from its habituated pre-eminent corrupted function which has resulted in it's illusory identity as a self. It is the effect of returning the human mentality's function to its proper state, which is its function of ratiosynchretic particularity at the service of selfless open awareness. It is a most beneficial endeavor for people to aspire to.

In summing up his commentary on the lines of the 37th hexagram People in the Home, Liu I-ming wrote: And yet there are those who have admitted to me that whenever they hear the word selfless, they must walk the other way. And there are those who "like" this sentiment. Clearly, these people have reached a state of complete egohood which cannot even stand the thought of not-self. Evidently it is not to be trusted; whereas the fact that open sincerity as the basis of self-refinement completely eludes these people. Yet these same folks can go on and on talking about a concept such as "wu-wei", as if it were a rose. Ah, the joys of recreational philosophy…❤ For those who can and do gaze in wonder in the reality of non-being naturally so, realize with gratitude that you have been spared, or have audaciously worked through, a heavily-fueled karmic burden. Ones such as these might occasionally flash that intangible gravitas called character, and then be resented for it.

Without the kind of independence which eschews social cliques promulgating otherness, or reactive, stream-of-consciousness associations (which are essentially imitative in nature), there is no possibility for individuals to be free from psychological and social attachments which they fear casting off from in the first place. We have an attachment to belonging, and such a deep-seated fear of independence that we will do anything to prove ourselves worthy of belonging, even if all it accomplishes is keeping ourselves in a bondage of false association which is antithetical to a spontaneous, dynamic selfless unity expressed naturally in the midst of conditions. If people have not yet seen what isn't them in terms of the absolute …all their howling isn't going to help them at the moment the matter of birth and death is sitting on their chest. Unless you people can be independent in the absolute sense, DON'T KNOCK IT. This isn't a matter of some spiritual tradition. This is the rise of the human spirit. Literally. The potential for enlightenment is the essence of the intent of the immaterial human body which has no location. This is the nature of human being. Human being is a type of awareness function peculiar to people which is not a person. During our storm years, we spent them in the vertical realm. When we'd cut loose We didn't know it was never to leave the familiar We just wanted to get closer to it. That's why we set off into the unknown in the first place. Setting off was all we knew And we only had ourselves To give it everything we had Which was the prerequisite to cutting loose In the first place. We never knew there could be any other place. It is not clear as to the difference between intellectually knowing what I am not and actually seeing it, or whether there is even a difference in terms of the outer mysterious female. I know I am not my thoughts because they change. I know I am not my emotions because they change also. Is that seeing or intellectualising? These are words, and that is my problem. Perhaps it's another waiting game. You said that in terms of the inner mysterious female you stand at the door and wait for the inevitable to arrive. Once you clear your emotions and thoughts is it a similar waiting game to penetrate the outer mysterious female and wait for the "seeing what you are in terms of the absolute"? Working the firing process in the midst of ordinary affairs is the Great Vehicle of buddhas, adepts, saints and wizards. So clarity of the mind-ground of one's conscious awareness is nonpsychological awareness. That means there are no two minds; the human mentality turns into the mind of tao. So there is no "in between" in terms of trying to see reality because you are already there on account of the inherent clarity of the mind-ground. But there is still "process". When thoughts and emotions are clear is "before" events exist. This is called balance. When something comes up, one adapts without entertaining self-reification in the face of events because awareness is impersonal. This is harmony. So "in between" is relative to events themselves. One has never begun to see reality as is because that is all there is anyway. So it is not something you do. The firing process and the elimination of desire/aversion/numbness is just the human mentality having turned into the mind of tao. What happens is as there is no resistance/reaction in terms of one's inherent awareness, one saves this energy naturally. this is where the burst of power comes from in transcending mundane and trans-mundane evolutions. Nonpsychological awareness is just your own inherent mind empty and free of self-reflection. This is brought about by the will to open sincerity that has no sticking-point to entertain thoughts of self and other. It is just that habit-energy is in control that makes self-refinement possible and necessary. It's all real. The work of "in between" is not having a habitual self-identity to maintain the illusion of not-seeing. Unless one knows there is this Nothing to investigate, Good and bad being the plaything of before and after; One's own power can hardly be relied on.

But that has always been unacceptable to me because reality is not protected, ultimately. Also, neither the ppf is nor the pit (where an increasing number of my threads are ending up now) are available to un-registered users of this forum. What I do here must be real, or it just isn't an authentic product of reality, so my response to the mods' past suggestions is to state that my practice isn't private. Also, being as they are articles, my content isn't really subject to the ordinary philosophical discussion process. But even more critically, since I cannot control the efforts of trolls and those ruled by an habitual intellectual apparatus (not to mention the recreational philosophers who carry on in their pastime as if they are never going to die and feel bereft whenever they cannot subject everything on this forum to this fun of theirs), I can only disappoint those who actually WANT to read what I write. For a long time my domain has been the Contributed Articles section. That's what I've done from the very start of my tenure here on this forum. Whether people agree or not with my take on reality, and not ever inviting discussion, I have and express a distinct authority on the subject of Complete Reality praxis, having gone all the way myself. Why the Contributed Articles section was finally and most recently buried in the General discussion section is (not quite) a mystery to me. I would very much like to make the concession of posting in a protected, yet accessible to the un-registered user, Contributed Articles section. Would people be able to submit posts to these threads and the author would then be able to include and/or respond but keep unusable posts from appearing on the protected thread? Or would comments be directed via PM?

And why is that? Is it because you are habituated to interpreting the word "selfless" in the conventional sense relative to ego? Try using the self-reflective intellect to insert the word impersonal every time you read the word selfless in these contexts. Selfless just means not creating the basis for deluded views by seeing reality through your habitual self-biased perspective.
