Organic Farming: The revolution of the future.

Nothing is at all wrong with an education— I hope! Why is that a sticking point? But when this scenario does go down, agribusiness along with academia, in and of themselves, are not necessarily going to save anything— not along with the global infrastructure to support their spheres of influence (issues in terms of distribution are already apparent). Smart choices and projections by knowledgeable people like you who actually have experience in the field is critical. I was only suggesting that this is what is crucial— not pop-culture histrionics. I didn't know Blasto would even have a reason to take it personally. I have nothing for or against your strategic agribusiness models. My model is something to put in my mouth. Go for it! If you know what you want to do, and can influence those that will make your markets sustainable— that's great! -

And we all have degrees too? Does it take a degree to grow beans and corn and chilis and apples and cows and sorgum and wheat? I didn't think so.❤ -
hehe. Humans are a type of created pattern of awareness. As such, humans do not live forever. However, human being, as a type of awareness function, is itself uncreated and therefore circulates within immaterial selfless potential, unborn and undying. The true intent of human being is open sincerity, which has no location. This is eternal. Though they have volition and can be located, spirits are not spiritual. People don't know that the nonpsychological is spiritual. Therefore, spirits and ghosts are not eternal as spirits and ghosts, because they exist. Perhaps wingzero was inferring that when one is executed rightly or by mistake, nothing is really lost? wingzero? What was the thrust of your statement?

Farming, gentlemen. No one is poo-pooing the educated. But knowing all the issues does not fill the belly. Evidently it can make one conceited and defensive. Who here has any experience farming? Anyone? -

hahahhahahhahahhaaa!! As if. It's going down, mon ami. Manage climate change? The so-called world leaders, are only doing what they can. You don't know them. It is time to steal as much as possible. It's just what time it is. This is an objective assessment of the situation. What is there to worry about? Whether one is culled or not, you care about your dependents. Do what you can do, when you can do it. It does not matter why is it so— it is the time for acting. I hope the point of the thread is the benefit of (sustainable) farming— not histrionics hinging on pop-culture doom and gloom. Talk to any farmers lately? I recommend it highly! Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the show. Uh, the other one: the revolution is not being televised. -
About Me The unattributable occurs blamelessly Lifetimes proceed in light of encounters Selflessness is the regality of impersonal nature There being no person; the court of no account is wordless Clearly, there is nothing to know: Wholly unborn and undying. Phantoms encountering the world Who is left out? Encountering the vertical, there is unutterable firmness Switching abodes, you take over creation: The office bustles with unreality; It is a business where nothing in due course happens. Already possessing the medicines; malady is presumed and prescribed This is the necessary step to self-refinement: Don't settle down in it and make this your career. Affirmed, you go on Following the incline of sameness Prior illuminates have tread. First awaken on your own, then see someone else It is your own regal impersonal nature Waiting on the rise. Stepping over eternity is not worth talking about As it becomes you Just wear out the shoe.

hi Harmonious Emptiness~ At the threshold of arriving at stillness on the verge of action, there is a bit of that, yes. Trusting one's luck, one then takes the forward step and reenters the world with hands open.❤

Is this included in the original chapter, Marblehead? This seems a suitable way to conclude this section. How can this be construed as a lament of self pity? I believe this has been issued as a challenge to us all. It is up to us personally as individuals to realize our potential despite conditions.

It's not so strange for a Buddhist to endorse killing
deci belle replied to wingzero's topic in General Discussion
Evidently the man is very capable of a ruthless compassion. Anything that shakes up the white-light bambi-cultists is alright with me. Mr Lama is simply adapting to the time. The conventional moralists try to inflict the absolute on the relative, which is completely ineffective and useless to boot. Mr. Lama is a political leader as well. He wears more than one hat. Personally, I wasn't waiting for him or anybody else to weigh in on the event of the famous jihadist's death. I'll bet he spoke out for the benefit of all the people who depend on him to know what to think, feel, and do. It's all rather pathetic that it seems to be an issue to some people. What would _______ do? The buddha said refer everything to the self. Who here is not doing that, hmmmmm? -

Hi Alfa~ later you said something about moving energy up away from the genital area— this is not the same as dealing with the urge itself. …may I? Hope is ineffectual (hahahhahaa!!!) It takes absolutely no time at all, really. But dealing with energy is one thing— after it is too late, I'm afraid. Because at that point it has already fallen into the created. But that's ok too, because how you deal with potential is up to your ability, experience and degree of self-refinement. The will for open sincerity as the basis for responding to the world is the root. All else evolves from this kernel. The urge is a reflex compulsion. It is a result of karmic momentum. It is possible to be free of compulsion— all compulsions. Self-refinement is a process of disengaging this momentum and maintaining psychological equilibrium through many changes for a long time (exactly as Mizo said: over and over and over), while staying faithful to the source of desire within the context of the situation you find it. If you are talking about random street-level encounters, forget it. What I am talking about is way beyond anyone operating at that level. I'm talking about powerful, overwhelming desire. Evolutionary desire. Life or death desire. Not to get too carried away~ but it has to be real, in that it has to be a real threat to your equilibrium: a real challenge. Otherwise there is nothing at stake. It has to be your ass on the line, hmmmm? So you use manifestation of this kind of desire by turning desire itself around to shine on its source. Alchemic manuals call this "following the heart's desire without stepping over the line". It is also related to the practice of turning the light around. Remember— this is not about something that has fallen into the created realm. You have to catch it at the right time~ neither too early nor too late. Did you want to sublimate sexual urges, or just learn to handle them in a more detached "safer" way? If you just want to use psycho-emotional energy to circulate it around the body— this is not what I'm talking about. What I am talking about is lifting your gaze into another realm which does nothing to deny conventional interaction. No one knows what you are doing. You remain faithful to the situation without following it. If you follow it, that is going along with creation, which is being stuck with it: ie, suppression, indulgence or the bodily manipulations mentioned above. It is not a matter of "fooling" people, either. If you feel this is beyond your ability at this time, there is another technique. It is somewhat similar to psychic energetic circulation within the body or bodies. The key in all these matters is intent. Every individual is different. Many such manuals written by authors such as Mantak Chia cover this, but the application is different. Long and deep study of classic buddhist and taoist works and developing a sense of autonomy and aloofness from mundane affairs, including worldly concerns, politics, right and wrong, etc.— all manner of sources of contention should be eliminated. The source of desire has no such confusion. I also suggest studying the Art of War, and begin to slowly learn to recognize the subtlety of potential hidden within the context of heartfelt desire. But in order to do neither within the context of the manifest, it is necessary to work with potential alone.

+ Otis' expert analysis …beautiful indeed. True compassion is knowing when to leave people alone. Nurturing the self, complete unity is undisturbed. Nurturing that which taxes essence, the organism is perverted (arbitrary intellectual craving subverts vitality from essence; the two things become separated). When yin and yang loose cohesive interpenetration, the temperament is now agitated, now depressed. Anger and cupidity erupt in flows; virtue is lost. With the loss of balance and harmony, the personality goes to extremity and reaches an impasse. Anxious to make a living is like trying to make life work because by depleting life (vitality) in vain pursuit of particulars (grains), people change the basis of living potential into endless illusions. Subsequently, death becomes a symbiotic mirror. When people expend the basis of life to keep the delusional fear generated by psychic disease away— It's not that kings are stealing, people themselves are loosing the basis of sane energy by pursuing externals in fear of their own reflections (hello retail therapy). When people are at their wit's end, there is nothing they will not do because they perceive there is nothing to loose. If there is only death, what is the point of fearing it. The reason why they anxiously chase after life is because they see no power in death. It is a matter of having lost universal goodness. During the European (Black) plague, some people just stopped caring and gave free rein to all manner of indulgences. Although it is applicable, I'm guessing the ancient one wasn't wasting a lot of ink talking about literal kings, people, taxes, fear and death— but rather a way to keep reality whole. Death is the abode of virtue. Not fearing death is not valuing virtue. Virtue is not under the rubric of a cultural morality. It is a function of the receptive. It's not a matter of both sides of the same coin; rather, waves lapping on the shore is like virtue. Not two; not even one. The subtle continuity is seamless. It's not in or out; stillness or movement. Nonpsychological spirit and essential vitality interpenetrate, the swell is the configuration of its own subduction; then the king of death comes to collect you. If you do not value life, virtue overflows, and life and death are equal: what then does the king have over you? Dissolution of the self is like the king. This is a dimension beyond convention. Loosing virtue is chasing the one and not fearing the other, which destroys complete reality in the self. So those who do not interfere with essential life are wise in keeping it together.

The real meaning of "all is within" is purely contextual?
deci belle replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Otis said: Nice! exorcist said Yes you are…❤ And being mindful of naming, too. Having a mind to explore the possibility is evidently uncommon, for some reason. C'est la vie. It's how the knowledge is kept alive. ShaktiMama said; Eventually, in terms of energetics, grafting, induction exercises, one may properly and effectively loose the appetite for inside/outside. But the time of developing the will for actually accomplishing "all is within" is a matter of unbending intent to arrive at the matter of life and death, which is the concrete way of entering another dimension of our existence. So nominally entering within completely without reservations is effectively interrupting consciousness. This is not mental inquiry and it is neither using nor not using mind, much less body— it is arriving at a point where the questioning mind just craps out altogether and what is left has no inside or outside to speak of, no words, nor speaker. Just the same awareness you yourself are now using to read these words. Another dimension of our existence is so close. I consider assimilating the experiential penetration of this dimension in everyday ordinary situations as authentic practice. It's not a matter of energetics. Energy isn't the thing. … did you do your Qigong practice today?❤ -

Hi ej! Not if they keep their mouths shut! heehee!!❤ Your thoughts give you away. The ability to take over creation unbeknownst to anyone is the hallmark of initiation. One's desire for recognition is deserving of punishment. Whatever it is you are doing …stop. -
Wow thread, Blasto!! I'm probably being somewhat myopic concerning historians' myopia in treating modern thought as a western phenomenon (…stole part of that from my Mac's dictionary). Richard Tarnas said: I am not so quick to qualify mind as human. I would call human being as a type of resonance within a general quality unique to awareness. haha! I don't want to be too (self-consciously) kind to those hairy hunter-gatherers— there's still a lot of us around! Yet had any of the illustrious European thinkers experienced the primordial undifferentiated themselves, there wouldn't be so many later western students extolling the virtues of so-called consciousness evolution in terms of participatory epistemology. Rather, they would take up objective nonpsychological participation in the knowledge that it not only has never progressed (what is there to evolve?), but the skills of this participatory premise are themselves dependent on evolution within one's very own personal lifetime, based directly on experience of the primordial itself. Mr. Tarnas said: I cannot disagree enough! Is separate, self-contained, and complete in itself whereby it is possible for each individual human being to experience essential reality in itself as itself. Experience of selfless impersonal aware conscious being has no without; has no distance; has no beginning to objectify. It is the selfless quality of awareness and one's apprehension of nonorigination as one's essential self in the experiential event of nonbeingness, whereby one gains the kernel of authentic impersonal objectivity. What is enabled to evolve within the context of one's lifetime is objective participation by virtue of receptivity and response. Civilizations and Culture are the direct result of universal goodness, which is the very nature of mind, not a country. I don't see that modern intellect is an improvement upon much developing in the sciences in Moorish mediaeval Spain. Give me a big 0! How many stars have Arabic names? I'm just guessing, but perhaps the ratio of people participating in space travel compared to the general population count was greater in cultures 7,000~10,000 years ago than it is today. Just a guess… In other words, the conceit of intellect is assured when it can proudly justify it's so-called modern progression (it's separateness from the great unwashed), in light of the ever romanticized, torturously incipient evolution from the primordial undifferentiated swamp-bogs of consciousness. All it takes is an instant to revert to the undifferentiated. This has been experienced personally by numberless human beings since before the time of naïve participation mystique. Some people just know better. Some people have always known better. It is simply due to the nature of mind. All those naïve hairy folk just couldn't deal with what was being described to them by the ones with the silly hats. How is that so different than today? I'm with Picasso~ we haven't learned a thing. I am assured, awareness has never changed. That's not what it does. Real participatory operation is described in full detail by the ancients of any wisdom tradition you may care to explore. You just have to know what to look for (I happen to like silly hats). This thing that wants to be seen as modern… one glimpse of the primordial, and it's clear that what's new and improved has just had yet another round on the talk-show circuit. The progression since the European enlightenment (thanks Greece and Rome!) and its looong evolution since its recent localized dark age (when real northern Europeans partied hardy) has improved— don't get me wrong. I just talk about mind itself. You know what they say about jazz~ if you have to say what kind it is…❤ Sweet post, Blasto!!

The real meaning of "all is within" is purely contextual?
deci belle replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Hi Non! It is good advice for one who is habituated to looking outside. If you don't naturally look to externals, then developing a vocabulary to harmonize inside/outside is good advice. But habituation to milking projected psycho-emotional potential in situations sucks! Being proficient in response techniques allows harmonious relationships with conditions while maintaining equipoise and independence: ie, you already operate with psychological autonomy. If that sounds calculated, it is only in terms of strategy— enlightening response is radiant spontaneity. I'm pretty rough around the edges and often make things hard to swallow, but I mean no harm to others. Harmonizing the unequivocal isn't a matter of spoon-feeding. It's not just "all is within"— it's "The real meaning of "all is within" is purely contextual". I just talk about what's within. The best reason for looking within is because that is where you are going to find it— that and autonomy. You won't find that outside. Finding autonomy within enables you to authentically share yourself with everything outside by choice rather than psycho/emotional dependency. If you don't develop the will to stand alone at all costs, then how can you transcend externals in order to audaciously transcend your conditioned identity? Being habituated to autonomy is the next hurdle in self-refinement— The matrix of ego is a glue that has hardened. That glue must become characteristically fluid. Self-refinement isn't a matter of destroying ego. It really is a process of re-introducing spiritual nonspychological subtle concentration in place of the once sticky-turned-hard psycho/emotional ego-bound glue. "All is within" is a teaching of high order. If it has become a trite expression for you, it is not the fault of the ancients. The context is in terms of ultimate realization. People simply don't look deep enough. Even if you wanted it yourself, just wanting it isn't enough. You actually have to do it to find out what is meant by "all is within" for yourself. The context is inconceivable. Even considering your body: when it does what it does, it offers no reasons. Medical sciences have developed around the miracle of the body. Wisdom teachings have developed sciences around the miracle of awareness. People habituated to spoon-feeding have to have reasons that satisfy shallow value judgements and, sorry to say, inconceivability has no reasons~ only mysteries.❤ Only after seeing within thoroughly and completely, one gains a real grasp of objectivity, because only within yourself is the source of your own being, which is impersonal— sameness without borders, which is harmonized within difference by enlightening beings. It is impossible to find anything of real power outside yourself. Taoism calls this taking over creation. Maybe some day you will come to terms with that. Only after a realization of impersonal perspective is it then possible to accomplish the blending of which you speak. This blending is actually a sort of "wizardry" which has nothing at all to do with conventional notions of "compassion" or being "nice" and "safe". This is because the blending you speak of is done secretly in everyday ordinary affairs unbeknownst to anyone— it's not that you make a show of self-satisfying social emotionalism to coddle others. Real compassion is ruthless.
