Not disappointed at all Mak. I find the history and ideas of religious Taoism quite fascinating, and I read your posts with great interest.....

There seems to be some head butting and even a touch of animosity when discussing the "what is real Taoism" subject....... On this forum I see philosophers goading the religious, and the religious scoffing at the philosophers......in some cases it has even degenerated into name calling and mockery. In the process both sides seem to miss out on valuable insights from the other. Seems to me that this debate itself contradicts the behavior and ideology we all claim to aspire to....... Perhaps there is more than enough room for everyone who is making a sincere effort using whatever methods they are attuned to.........don't two sides, in fact, equal a single idea? Just my two cents.....

Kung Fu Panda was great........ ....my interest in Eastern culture and philosophy was started by watching "Big Trouble in Little China" about a hundred times when I was a teen........and, truth be told.......I still watch it every so often.....cause it's awesome.

Howdy folks, I live in Ontario, Canada and have been following the tao (as best I can anyways) for a couple of years now.....I look forward to sharing insights, meditation techniques and discussing how to apply taoist philosophy in the world as it is today..... About me: I am a commercial/tattoo artist by trade.....self employed most of my adult life.......I have a quirky/sometimes bizarre sense of humour.......I'm a sucker for animals.......and my daughter.... Time to go outside and watch the snowflakes fall.....bye for now.

The best tea I've found for staying relaxed is Silver Needle white tea. I drink it frequently and it's tasty and refreshing, as well as very calming. White tea does contain caffeine, but also a good amount of theanine which balances it out. Here's a better explanation: http://www.amazing-green-tea.com/white-tea-caffeine.html
