"The most accurate translation of the TTC is said to be by Derek Lin." By whom is this said?

mat, You seem like a sincere guy and I don't want to downplay what you say you experienced. But I don't believe in this nonsense and in that it cannot be proven, we'll just have disagree.

C'mon, Don't pay money for this nonsense. Why didn't anyone else say this?

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a gray mist on the sea's face, and a gray dawn breaking. I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying. I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life, To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover, And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over. John Masefield

You'll have to take it up with the late poet. I heard it as a very beautiful song. I live next to the sea and it's a very very strong image. I can smell the ocean even now.

And yet those who are familiar with Hawkins work understood my comment. It's unclear to me if you know the book. Why ask about a subject you don't seem to interested enough to even bother researching? His use of a technique from Applied Kinesiology to validate religion is dodgy at best. This doesn't even address his cultish behavior.

"It is so much easier, online especially, if people are clear and explanatory." Didi you even bother to examine the work referenced? Did you want me to Cliff-note that for you too?

"cat" writes: "Please share your lucid analysis with us..." It's pseudo science. Did you read the link?

"vortex" wrote: "Actually, if you guys read "Power Vs. Force," David Hawkins measures the "level of truth" in various religions from when they originally started...and now, after centuries of degeneration." I read it. I thought it was rubbish. http://www.energygrid.com/spirit/2007/09ap-davidhawkins.html

Some guy who calls himself "White Tiger" said: Show me where the aggressive side comes out when I'm talking to you" You think you need to comment on how you think I should behave for some reason. And you try to do with feigned passive behavior. "(and specifically not because you go around with the hatred words at people," Hatred?.....hyperbole, again. "but actually meaning aggression totally and 100% towards you)" I have no idea what this means. "If you can do that then I will have learned that i was passive aggressive (and will stop, because i don't like to do it honestly!)" Really? -

"I suck at using words to convey my ideas. But man you do a WORSE JOB! Dude i think some people have been very nice a patient with you. While you use words is a weird way to convey what your saying. Your problem is simple, you will not be a critic or give constructive criticism. You will actually go so far to say hateful things and just outright call it blashy... or at least thats the way it seems. Not untill you actually are saying something about what you believe do you then explain what you mean correctly. It seems more like a word play game with you rather then a discussion. I see a lot of me in you (years ago) but honestly you can think whatever you want about whatever one says but until you can put the time an effort to properly explain what is bad... your judgement is seen as well questionable, more of a rant and rave. main two qoutes i base this one is the one posted above and the one posted below" I think the issue is your understanding. Mal certainly got it, and the comment was directed to him. I'm not particularly concerned whether you get it or not. I don't know you and haven't addressed you. If you have a particular question about what I am saying, ask it. "Buddy, on my martial arts page it say clearly that the chi kung should be combined with one of the internal arts for maximum benefit. Also my website does not say "best in the world" nor did I say it on this forum. Also, you took the statement out of context and need to read the whole martial arts section to get the idea that I'm trying to present." Editing is a convenient thing. -
Wow, that was uncalled for. FWIW I agree completely with Craig. I never get why people get riled up by marketing. If it's fake that's another thing, but everyone has an obligation to support themselves and teachers, doctors, and long shoremen all get as much as they can for their work ****************Update********** Looks like Alex Chiu is just plain bonkers

"I do think neigong/chi gung (honestly don't know the real difference or what I do, again easy to show) exercises enhance self defence ability though." I think neigong enhances the vehicle through which the techniques of self defense are delivered (one's skill). But actual defending one's self is only enhanced by practicing to defend one's self (fighting techniques). -

I'm not saying that what Steve has isn't good, I wouldn't know. But the silly hyperbole that it's the best in the world or his teacher is the best in the world is juvenile. Is it the best that he's seen? No problem with that. But it's a big world. And no one is getting self defense skills by practicing just neigong.
