This isn't about any cults, its about opening your eyes to what is going on around you... This isn't about 2012 or meteors or global warming even... its about the collapse of our free world, via fascism. This isn't going to end well, and everyone who see's whats coming is preparing....

Looking for Proof of advanced taoist master's abilities
mwight replied to tsa's topic in General Discussion
Randi's challenge is a scam from the get-go. It offers 1 million to anyone who can prove supernatural or occult abilities. Even J.C.'s abilities ARE NOT supernatural. There is no such thing as super nature, it implies more than what is natural. The word is empty and meaningless. There can be nothing more than or above what is apart of nature. Does that make sense? Lets say we experience a new phenomenon, one we've never seen before, until we understand it, it's supernatural, but after we observe and study it, and completely understand and grok it, it is no longer supernatural. So what changed, its supernatural status or our understanding of it? Was it ever truly supernatural, or was it just our ignorance of it. It's kind of like Randi's counterpart Kent Hovind who offers a prize for proof of evolution, he wants proof not only of biological evolution but of planetary and galactic evolution, something no one could provide. It's rigged from the get-go. -
I concur.

I take a good multi vitamin, Fish oil, Green tea extract, and blueberry extract every day. I try to stay away from crazy stuff, and stick to whole food extracts. I know too many people who have damaged their kidneys taking 5000 pills a day of weird stuff.

For those of you still chasing "abilities"
mwight replied to Sahaj Nath's topic in General Discussion
rain, to be honest I have no idea. The only thing I know for certain is that I really know nothing for certain. The core idea was that we are all one mind, you and I and everyone else ARE the exact same being, having a different experience. -

I will try to keep this short, I don't want to hijack hundun's thread. I talked about this somewhere else here I cant remember where though. DO NOT under any circumstances attempt what I did. For a background go to my personal journal forum and read my 6D theory of reality, and then imagine feeling and experiencing directly what I was describing there. Thats where that theory came from. Around 2005 I read a study about the brainwaves of Buddhist Monks who had been meditating for 50+ years everyday, and their brainwaves instead of decreasing like you would assume, shot up way up from normal waking consciousness (13ish Hz) to gamma band level brainwaves (42Hz). http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...6-2005Jan2.html Gamma is usually ONLY seen during an AHA!, eureka, or Epiphany moment, even then only for a short time (fraction of a second). These monks brainwaves not only stayed at 42Hz, the amplitude was too high to measure, and both hemispheres were in perfect synchrony. It seemed as if 42 really was the answer (reference to the hitch hikers guide ) http://www.scientificblogging.com/news_rel..._we_have?full=1 http://www.diagnosticimaging.com/dinews/2004060101.shtml So I used a program called brain wave generator to make a custom audio file of 42hz binaural beats for brainwave entrainment. I meditated for a few hours each day using them. Things really started to "click" I mean really "click"... I had to keep a notebook with me to catch all the thousands of awesome ideas and thoughts flowing out of me like a fountain.... More came, faster, faster, faster.... It got where I couldn't sleep at all. I eventually stopped using the cd's and meditating, I took sleeping pills, melatonin, sleepy time tea, sleep inducing binaural beats. Nothing seemed to work, and thoughts just flowed ever faster. Reality itself began to blur, the layers of reality began to become observable, it looked like an onion. Infinite parallel realities layered above and below our current one. Past and future were connected as a solid whole. I realized I existed in more than one at a time, and had multiple minds, and multiple bodies, and if I actively concentrated I could move my awareness into and out of them. I know what that feels like Read my 6D theory of reality for more information on what I experienced. Now, I would have written this off as a hallucination, if it weren't for the fact that other people around me were able to experience residual side effects of my experience. Two of my better friends reported experiences almost identical to mine. Family members reported a lot of stranger happenings than that. I had 2 different neighbors commit suicide during this time, and I live in a rural area, so this is unusual. After my brain came back together, there was simply no denying that what I experienced affected these other people in a concrete and tangible way. After that I renounced my atheist worldview, and became (more) interested in Taoism, and Buddhism. -

Hundun, I will try to keep this as short as possible. You are correct that I might be wrong about everything, but that statement is more accurately applied to my philosophical stance as a freethinker. I don't really "Know" anything for certain, and I'm prepared to edit and revise my world view as more evidence and information comes to light. Believe nothing. No Matter where you have read it, or who said it, even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own common sense. -Buddha Ever since my childhood I have been a skeptic. To be honest with you I was atheist until 2004/05. I had always said if I experienced something paranormal only then would I believe it. Well I had to live up to that in December 05, but thats a story for another time. It disagrees with my "common sense" to accept the teachings of a person or system that can't produce abilities, or think that they could help me in my goal of liberation. I have scanned the markets, they are filled with millions of new age fluff teachers, courses, and "ancient" wisdom. 99.999% of what is on the market is bullshit. Thats the best word for it. Even modern Buddhism is failing to produce ascending beings (at least that I have heard about) Looking for systems which use abilities as mile markers, or masters who have them serves a very important purpose to me, proving their legitimacy. -

Hundun, My biggest point of contention is that if current methods and techniques taught by current widely known systems, (mainstream Buddhism for example Zen, Vipassana etc ), were so effective then they should be turning out at least some enlightened and liberated beings each year, right? That isn't happening, and if it is they are hidden away from public view pretty quickly. Some masters claim there are as little as 60-100 hisens (liberated beings) on earth. Lets do some rough math here 66 people out of 6.6 billion thats like 1 in a billion.. Something isn't working, the mainstream methods are ineffective. Not ignoring you but I will have to post more after work either 16 hours from now, or tomorrow morning, when I have time. -

Abilities are not the "end goal" they are merely mile markers to track your progress. That is the ONLY valid function they serve. If you spend your whole life meditating and being a good person, you will never in a billion life times achieve liberation from this cycle of death and rebirth. -

http://img.4chan.org/b/imgboard.html /b thing is a more of a cultural reference. I'm just frustrated I guess, I am searching for a community that is focused solely on transcendence... the more dragonball Z, and 4chan, people show up the more irritating it is to be here. It seems this place is turning into a spiritual 4chan/b community. Maybe a handful of people here are seriously interested in transcending, or in serious qigong, neigong discussion. The rest seem preoccupied with learning magic, tarot, and other newagey type BS. The problem is the static, all these people create tons of noise and make it a chore to dig through material to find relevant information, for those of us who are serious. -

With All Respect To Kunluners, I have been hearing a lot of chatter about how Max really re-branded several different practices he learned as kunlun. Jenny lambs Spontaneous adjustment chi kung, and andrew lum for red phoenix, as well as others. Any thoughts? If this turns out to be true, maybe kunlun was just a flash in the pan?

I'm curious, here's a Q: for all bums: If the LHC proves the existence of higher dimensions and or parallel worlds to our own, how will this affect your lives, world views etc.?

Courses, Books, Etc. Etc. That You Couldn't Do Without For Your Practice.
mwight posted a topic in General Discussion
I've read quite a lot in my opinion. Most of the stuff on the market could be safely tossed in the garbage can. So here is my list of books and resources I find useful, and I wouldn't want to live without. Please share yours also, but try to keep them to resources which actually provide active training info on your path, not biographies etc. Please try to include things you yourself practice and know to be valid, not things that sound good but you have never personally implemented. My List: 1. Spring Forest Qigong Levels 1-4 (still a lot of filler, but I believe this to be the best home course out there and free if you know where to look, emule demonoid etc.) 2. Robert Bruce's Works: "Energy Work" and "Astral Dynamics" (lots of resources on the web for free, AD is free on demonoid) http://www.amazon.com/Astral-Dynamics-Out-...0952&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Work-Healing-...0975&sr=8-1 http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/ http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=6 http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=65 http://www.astraldynamics.com/download/NEW-V2.pdf http://www.astraldynamics.com/download/Treatise.pdf 3.The Tao Of Meditation (Way to Enlightenment) By Jou, Tsung Hwa. (great book) http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Meditation-Way-E...0690&sr=8-1 4.The Einstein Factor By Dr. Win Wenger (free on demonoid) http://www.winwenger.com/ebooks/guaran.htm http://www.amazon.com/Einstein-Factor-Prov...0412&sr=8-6 http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/074...0412&sr=8-1 5. Centerpointe Awakening Prologue (expensive if you buy a copy, free on demonoid) (imho the higher levels suck, wouldn't recommend them. It is great for inducing a trance.) http://centerpointe.com/ 6.
