This is my personal theory of how qigong works. Posted this elsewhere also. It is my theory that we do indeed live in a multiverse, and not a singular universe. This is also the most accepted interpretations of Quantum Mechanics. It is called the MWI (Many Worlds Interpretation), Hawking is one of the most prominent subscribers to this interpretation. All of these seemingly separate universes, are in fact apart of a larger whole. We navigate through them every moment we are aware. We make choices, decisions, actions, have certain thoughts, etc.. etc.. This is the process of navigating through this field of infinite possibilities. The way we fundamentally view the universe is wrong, just our ancestors believed the earth was flat and the sun revolved around us. Time as we know it does not exist, instead past and future are part of a solid whole of which we only experience the present moment. I liken this to how a dvd works, the laser (your consciousness) reads the data from the disc (your life) resulting in the image being played on the screen (your mind). People who spend huge amounts of time disconnecting themselves from this world, via meditation begin to see this. They understand they really don't have a physical body, and the world outside them is no more real than the data contained inside a dvd. It's kind of hard to keep an ego when you know the nature of this illusion. They learn to gain control of the navigation system (third eye), the remote control for the TV if you will. Lets assume they wish to heal another person, in fact what is occurring is that they are navigating into a reality in which the person is healthy. It looks like a miracle to the outside world but really, all the healer did was change the channel from their perspective. I hear a lot of people claim that we "Create" reality, I disagree. There was nothing to "Create". All possible pasts, and all possible futures already exist, silent and still just waiting to be viewed by an observer. Just as a dvd sits on your shelf waiting to be watched. After all were are merely observers. I think through meditation a lot of people can come to realize this and learn to navigate through the dream a little better. Happy Channel Surfing.

For those who haven't seen this-Kiss Hank's Ass

I think this story is funny even though I do believe in a god. I think we should all experience the mystical and the profound first hand, and not accept its existence on faith. -

"I don't get it! Is hank gay?" actual quote from someone I showed this too long ago... -
Has anyone here seen the new verdesi video? I would like to say it was very well produced and put together, however. I watched it over and over, the part where the guy sets the bundle of straw on fire. Strategically it is set over a grate/drain in the side walk... he reaches down 1 inch from it, fumbles for a minute and then it bursts into flames. The camera angle and the bundle obscure you from seeing what is going on underneath. I must admit I am a little skeptical.

Chanwu, I apologize if I came off as bragging. I didn't realize it would be interpreted like that, and it wasn't my intention. I will say everything I have been taught is also available on wikipedia, and other teachings I have found scattered around in various books. Anyone who has seriously researched different schools and forms of meditation should be familiar with these things. Other people on this same forum met my teacher in the same manner I did. We posted everywhere looking for him, and when we found him (or he found us) we asked him for information. So it really isn't exclusive or secret really. He is a really awesome guy, and genuinely cares about his students, and he doesn't charge a dime. The only thing he asks is that we not discuss our training publicly and I have to respect that. He will teach anyone I believe if they want the teachings for good reasons and not just to show off or harm other people. I guess however you were right I shouldn't have disclosed I was even in a neigong school, and again I apologize if I came off as bragging about it.

I didn't say it was super cool, I referred to it as a "good" neigong school. I don't really have a choice in the matter if I wish to continue on good terms with my teacher.

Hi Adam, I can't really go into detail I'm sorry. However I can say I have had experiences which most people couldn't even handle as a result of my training. It has become my reason for living, I want to break through to the other side.

thats cool. I didn't intend this to be a bashing thread. anywho peace.

I think its available to students, and paying forum members. I am neither now. I have instruction in a good neigong school enough to last 4-5 years. I will wait until I have reached the end of that to pursue other training. I thought about reselling it, however I am not sure if that would set well with the school. If I had permission I might resell my copy for $30. However I am not sure they want these out in the public, so I wont resell it unless I first have permission to do so.

Yes well I bought it. She did an awesome job on the video, and I didn't mean it like that. I thought it was an awesome video overall. It's just that particular clip raised some serious red flags for me. Sifu Jiang perhaps is legit, the leaked turtle video was much more convincing. The other guy with the pony tail, and bald head (I forget his name) I think he may have some chi power, but at least in the video I saw the placement of everything raised too many red flags for me to accept. I have watched that clip very closely at high detail, I even did a frame by frame view zooming in. imho it looks fake to me. I was seriously considering not posting here, as any skepticism no matter how nicely put disqualifies you from future training with verdesi.

So last night I meditated using Centerpointe's The Dive and immersion. Sitting in my EZ chair, I listened to the dive track about 6 times (3 hours) and then the immersion I just left on repeat I am not sure how many hours. I visualized myself going deeper, and could feel a falling sensation. I reached a depth where I thought hey I want absorb some energy, and then I could feel it like a torrent of water in a heavy rain gravitating physically into me. I could literally feel it, as thought I was in the middle of a giant downpour. Then it would stop and I would do it again, sucking in all I could, draining negative energies away. I had a lot of fun I feel wonderful this morning although it was dawn before I quit. Anyone else had similar experiences?

Yes in 2-3 years all windows programs will work in wine I think. They have made tremendous leaps in the past year. I only keep a windows drive for some games. Wine 0.9.55 should do photoshop and dreamweaver cs3 out of the box. I am not sure about mediamonkey, but the rest should work, according to winehq appdb Give mint a spin, install the new wine, and amarok and see if you still need media monkey

I wasn't visualizing anything, I just felt it. It was very strong, so very real and tangible. I had a blast. I am going to attempt it again tonight hemi-sync is ok, but I like the first (only first) level of centerpointe the best. Also perhaps the rain came from listening to that cd, it has rain and gongs on it.

Thanks for the info. Although I am not sure if it is devine hearing. It seems more like muscle spasms at or near the ear drums. I can feel it when it happens. Also sometimes I hear a gurgling noise like the noise water and suction make.

Would you elaborate on the differences between ordinary and meta qi, how they feel different?
