Well I consider most people here in these types of communities to be far ahead of the rest of our society. All the girls I dated in real life had never even heard of Taoism. Learn to enjoy things that are free, or mostly free. The Internet, knowledge, games, libraries, community centers, nature, etc. etc. etc. I live in a one bedroom apt, I own a moped, and I love it. well I agree a lot of people seek power to get their rocks off, or to control and manipulate people, to exploit everything in the world to boost their ego and pocketbook and indulge their carnal pleasures. Most of these people go into politics, they crave and lust after power to use it to control other people. I also seek power, but I could a give a shit less about controlling other people, or trying to control any aspect of this world. I WANT OUT... I want to leave this world and never return. Eternal nonexistance, eternal rest, never to wake up in a world ever again, anywhere, ever. That sounds so... so wonderful. Immortality of the spirit is a close second aspiration, perhaps I could spend my eternity in metta meditation, or emptiness meditation. I don't think I would be too concerned with anything in this state except maybe helping living beings who sought to ascend also. Well you know maybe he is legit, I really don't know. It is simply knowing the right herbs to mix, and words to chant, and time and location. No real effort involved... According to some people I have spoken with that have done eeg's on qigong masters during their exercises and healing they display a huge amount of high amplitude delta waves. The gamma waves come more during metta meditation when you are focusing on the emotion of compassion for yourself and the world, universe. Gamma also occurs during an epiphany or a eureka moment, when you learn something new and functionalize the knowledge. So I think perhaps delta brain wave entrainment would be better served for qigong, and kunlun perhaps?
