I see people are still misleading each other on Buddhism
RongzomFan posted a topic in Buddhist Discussion
I see people, including but not limited to xabir2005, promoting their stuff which they wrongly think is Buddhism. These are the principles of Buddhism. Anything more or added is wrong. a. Everything appears as mere thoughtforms (conceptual constructs) designated upon causes and conditions. This applies to yourself, deities, time, the causes and conditions themselves, and even the principle of causality itself. b. By its very nature conceptual thought is dichotomizing, yet "reality" (or lack of it) is free from all extremes. This is shown by specific Madhyamaka analyses which you can research on your own. c. There is a primordial freedom distinct from grasping your mind. Mind being defined as the thing always on the Three Times (past, present, future). Zen Sutrayana Approach to Recognizing Unfabricated Presence

Asunthatneversets says Greg Goode invented the title "Direct Path"
-
I talked to him personally.
-
So just to recap. Greg Goode invented Direct Path Advaita which Gatito follows.
-
Greg Goode admits he just promotes Tsongkhapa. In other words, he just read some introductory books by the Dalai Lama and packaged it into his "Direct Path Advaita" schtick.
-
Jesus Christ.
-
Yeah, which makes him unknowledgeable about Madhyamaka.
-
Absolutely not.

I can't respect a guy who comes to ME to learn about Madhyamaka.
-
You are just talking typical NeoAdvaita shit. One either recognizes unfabricated presence versus the conceptualizing mind. Or one doesn't. There is no middle ground.

That just cements it for me.
-
Atleast read Eckhart Tolle's Power of Now for god's sake. That's a decent read for a NeoAdvaita book.
-
You follow "Direct Path Advaita" invented by Greg Goode, according to asunthatneversets. I can't take you seriously.
-
Reading text is nondirect. Period.
-
They are advertising their product as Direct, when its not. They should call it Nondirect Path.
-
He should have invented a more accurate name. I noticed he has a book named "Direct Path". There is nothing direct about a book. A book doesn't have direct introduction. Its nothing more then Zen people reading sutras.
-
Ha.
-
That's the word I was trying to think of.
