  1. Bumps on the Cultivation Path

A terton would be agreeing with you? Thats pretty funny, considering you haven't even heard of basic things till last month: http://thetaobums.com/topic/24409-meaning-clear-light/page-4#entry393238 Judging from past threads, you will never admit your errors, even if literally 5 people tell you the same thing.
  2. Its funny how you constantly cite books, I read a decade ago.
  3. Other people have pointed this out to you to. http://thetaobums.com/topic/25700-introduction-to-dzogchen-retreat-with-b-alan-wallace/page-16#entry383816 But don't let facts stop you.
  4. Manipulating the body is the whole point of Vajrayana.
  5. Bumps on the Cultivation Path

You said "I do not have a Buddhist Guru/lama nor do I claim to be Vajrayana student." Yet you claim to know better than tertons and so forth. You cite 2 books, but its like you never read them. Or you don't understand that kumbhaka is the same as vase breath. Constricting the muscles of the lower doors is the same as mulabandha etc.
  6. Is your opinion supposed to mean something, when multiple people have pointed out your ignorance? http://thetaobums.com/topic/25953-breath-meditation-experience/page-4 I count 4 people besides myself trying to help you in just this one thread.
  7. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

Its illusion. Thats why in Madhyamaka there are all these analogies like cities of scent-eaters, dreams, mirages, reflections etc. But you are right, that you don't dwell upon that.
  8. This is the nonsense I was responding to: "@alwayson Jolan Chang writes that within Tibetan vajrayana, the physical practices of highest yoga tantra, like semen retention, internal orgasm for men, etc, were called "the chinese practices". He was a daoist of course, and everyone seems to like to write about how right their tradition is, but nonetheless, its possible that vajrayana incorporated elements of daoism and chinese thought."
  9. Buddha kept silent about God

You never heard of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya? You never heard of the 10 Bhumis? You never heard of the Two Accumulations? The goal of Mahayana is Buddhahood.
  10. Indian Manuscripts

LOL, you make stupid claims, and then say to do the research.
  11. Theravada and Mahayana

Did he? He only had one criticism towards Madhyamaka. You do realize that Advaita is derived from Madhyamaka right? http://books.google.com/books?id=sx12hxoFVqwC&pg=PA88&dq=The+Method+of+Early+Advaita+Ved%C4%81nta+It+is+not+a+matter+for+dispute+whether&hl=en&sa=X&ei=wr8ZUZ7iGceR0QGHuID4Cw&ved=0CDMQuwUwAA#v=onepage&q=The%20Method%20of%20Early%20Advaita%20Ved%C4%81nta%20It%20is%20not%20a%20matter%20for%20dispute%20whether&f=false
  12. Buddha kept silent about God

You never heard of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya? You never heard of the 10 Bhumis? You never heard of the Two Accumulations? The goal of Mahayana is Buddhahood.
  13. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

It does? Where does it do that? The Buddhist Wikipedia pages are garbage. The goal of Vajrayana is Buddhahood.
  14. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

If that were true, I would have come across it in academic tantra books. well you are a realist (buddhist definition). The end result is certainly not the same. And what you consider enlightenment, unfabricated freshness (ma bcos shes pa skad cig ma), is just the beginning step in Vajrayana.
  15. Forget about Chinese Buddhism. Follow what scholars call Indo-Tibetan Buddhism.
  16. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

Samkya is the foundation of all the Saiva and Vaisnava tantric systems.
  17. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

What about Samkya etc.? Speak to all the ancient Indian religious systems.
  18. World Peace is near (St. Malachi Prophecy)

Seems like you are a realist (buddhist definition). http://thetaobums.com/topic/26462-being-a-realist-buddhist-definition-is-not-good/
  19. "He" is the author of the book I cited. http://books.google.com/books?id=2HS1DOZ35EgC&pg=PA280&dq=Taoism+copy+of+buddhism&hl=en&sa=X&ei=THYeUay1BLOt0AH2o4DoDQ&ved=0CF4Q6AEwBzgK#v=onepage&q=Taoism%20copy%20of%20buddhism&f=false
  20. He doesn't use that word. So Taoism is a "direct imitation" and "plagiarism" of Buddhism.
  21. you are losing me He also uses the phrase "direct imitation"
  22. This scholar uses the word "plagiarism" http://books.google.com/books?id=2HS1DOZ35EgC&pg=PA280&dq=Taoism+copy+of+buddhism&hl=en&sa=X&ei=THYeUay1BLOt0AH2o4DoDQ&ved=0CF4Q6AEwBzgK#v=onepage&q=Taoism%20copy%20of%20buddhism&f=false
  23. This is just utter crap. We have all the roots of Vajrayana. Its pretty clear. Read: "Indian Esoteric Buddhism" by Davidson "Tantric Body" by Flood "Cakrasamvara Tantra" by Gray
  24. First of all, taoism merely seems to be a Chinese rip off of Buddhism. Every taoist text, including early ones, are full of Buddhist concepts. Second of all, in Vajrayana you bang chicks, drink booze and eat good food. Doesn't seem anti-life.
