Historically yes, considering that all Madhyamaka texts do is attack the now extinct religious systems of Ancient India. Also Vajrayana literature attacks Hinduism. And on and on.

The nature of the mind is the inseparability of clarity and emptiness. Clarity is mirror-like. "Emptiness" in the context of the inseperable clarity and emptiness of the mind, means you cannot point to clarity with your finger. You cannot find clarity, nor get rid of clarity.

Yes of course. Many things. And you dodged the question. Most lamas say that ngondro, retreats etc. are necessary before direct introduction. Malcolm doesn't have this position. So that flies in the face of your perceived rigidity of Malcolm.

Why would the Dalai Lama shun Tsongkhapa, when Tsongkhapa founded his entire Gelugpa school?
-
Do you have an example.....

How do you figure? Xabir does not know what hes talking about in general.

Who says thats a fact? Thats not my understanding at all.

In Madhyamaka, everything is dependently originated or dependently co-arisen. Thats easy enough to understand. The trick is to understand that dependently originated/co-arisen phenomena never arise in the first place, and thus are illusory. I know it is somewhat confusing.

You guys keep accusing me of incomplete statements, but I get tired of repeating the same things over and over again. And its karmamudra, not karma kagyu. Malcolm is a Sakya Loppon, not just a Dzogchenpa.
-
Madhyamaka: Nonarising/illusion because dependently originated phenomenon do not arise in the first place. Dzogchen Upadesha : Nonarising/illusion since the five pure lights never display as anything other than the five pure lights.
-
There is no arising of any kind in Dzogchen or Madhyamaka.
-
I'm going by posts of Malcolm on Dharma Wheel.
-
I would get transmission for karmamudra. From the Vajrayana point of view, meditation is contrived and conceptual.
-
You can realize unfabricated presence, the nature of the mind or whatever you want to call it in many traditions. Thats not what makes Dzogchen different.

Not just Sakyapas. There is no debate about it really. Just read the original Indian works of Nagarjuna, Aryadeva etc. I don't even know what you are talking about here.
-
These are just mundane meditative altered states that all regular meditators experience.
-
There is no arising in Dzogchen, just like in Madhyamaka.
-
If you think Dzogchen is similar to Taoism, then you don't understand Dzogchen. Dzogchen is different than even Mahamudra.

What an absurd claim. The Chinese caused near extinction of Buddhism within China, and fucked up Tibet. Even to this day they are still fucking with Buddhism you know. They force monks to worship Shugden and fly the Chinese flag.- 451 replies
