  1. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

I don't get that feeling from Rongzom. I have read all of Namdrol's posts and the book Establishing Appearances as Divine.
  2. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

I am not going to keep on arguing about one Crappily translated sentence.
  3. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

I don't know what that means. Rongzom isn't comparing efficacy. He is comparing fundamental differences in outlook.
  4. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

No, read your own statement again
  5. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

    Take it up with Rongzom.
  6. Tummo, Kumbhaka etc. are physical methods that stop the winds. Meditation doesn't do that.
  7. Rushan is the main preliminary in Dzogchen.
  8. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

If you are going to argue that Madhyamaka doesn't subscribe to the 2 truths, just forget it.
  9. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

    Greatness of Rongzom: http://books.google.com/books?id=HLFlN5mq9EcC&pg=PA271&lpg=PA271&dq=Rongzompa+OR+Rongzom+%22Comfort+and+Ease%22&source=bl&ots=HymPiXBO6w&sig=UZReYgDqaSwzmVebmSc1xuK1SGg&hl=en&sa=X&ei=AQRyUun_MIbS2AXCnIHQBA&ved=0CBgQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Rongzompa%20OR%20Rongzom%20%22Comfort%20and%20Ease%22&f=false
  10. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

This is the reason: "since they assert a true relative truth [Candrakirti established two kinds of relative truth as well], the category of “established as homogenous” is not understood." http://www.vajracakra.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1195&start=10#p13827
  11. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

Tsongkhapa's Prasangika does not adhere to freedom from extremes: http://dharmawheel.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=13822&p=180514&hilit=extremes+tsongkhapa#p180514 http://dharmawheel.net/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4056&p=49245&hilit=extremes+tsongkhapa#p49245 This is clear from Tsongkhapa's own writings. Tsongkhapa is faulted throughout history. Tsongkhapa has critics including Gorampa and the Eighth Karmapa
  12. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

Exactly. There are many different Prasangikas. I don't even think Tsongkhapa's Prasangika adheres to freedom from extremes.
  13. Tibetan Buddhism is the direct heir to Indian Buddhism.
  14. No, even according to the suttas jhanas can screw you over by being born in the formless realm etc.
  15. Also, in certain practices one sees Buddhas in yab-yum, without any fabrication by the mind. This to me indicates that karmamudra is a good practice. Not to mention the fact that Mahayoga and Anuyoga are revealed the most by tertons.
  16. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

Yes, Prasangika, for example according to Mipham or Jigme Lingpa is just freedom from extremes. I agree with that. But I wouldn't call that Indian Madhyamaka.
  17. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

Which Prasangika? And who is championing it? Gorampa certainly did not champion Tsongkhapa's Prasangika...
  18. Milarepa said even a little bit of tummo was better than Gampopa's long meditation. http://books.google.com/books?id=OixlLsoIBXEC&pg=PA36&dq=milarepa+short+ah+gampopa&hl=en&sa=X&ei=58r7UtvPLoflsASP0oDgAg&ved=0CDIQuwUwAQ#v=onepage&q=milarepa short ah gampopa&f=false And I'm going by this thread as well as general tantric theory (the winds). http://dharmawheel.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4704
  19. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

prasanga madhyamaka is a Tibetan fabrication with different contradictory meanings. Gorampa Tsongkhapa Mipham Jigme Lingpa
  20. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

Yes ChNN follows jigme lingpa whom you also like You have to also understand that prasanga madhyamaka doesnt exist If it did exist, I would be following Mipham
  21. The Superiority of Tantra to Sutra

No you are a longchenpa and jigme lingpa fan, as you said
