More lecturing from a non-Buddhist, who doesn't know the first thing about Buddhadharma.
-
I also uphold Hinayana and Mahayana as well. If you get the impression I don't, then that's your misunderstanding.
-
I don't need anymore lecturing from you.

You can read the Big Red Book, where Dudjom Rinpoche details the flaws of the lower vehicles. Every presentation of Dzogchen, even Bonpo, trashes everything else. Read Bonpo Dzogchen Teachings.

Who the hell is Vajrahridaya? Here is Dudjom Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma school: A Torch Lighting the Way to Freedom: "Signs that the demons have entered us are that we find fault in the spiritual friend, our teacher; we see defects in Dharma practitioners in general; we keep the company of ordinary people; we have less diligence in the practice; we indulge in pleasure heedlessly, without any moral principles; and our devotion and respect for the Three Jewels fades." "we should think: “I have entered the sublime Dharma and am undertaking the training of a Bodhisattva, so I must never be like ordinary people.”" "Remind yourself of the defects of the pleasures of the senses, and avoid befriending ordinary people."

"we should think: “I have entered the sublime Dharma and am undertaking the training of a Bodhisattva, so I must never be like ordinary people.”" "Remind yourself of the defects of the pleasures of the senses, and avoid befriending ordinary people." Nope, its just normative Nyingma view. "The eight lower levels have intellectually fabricated and contrived that which is changeless solely due to fleeting thoughts that never experience what truly is. They apply antidotes to and reject that which is not to be rejected. They refer to as flawed that in which there is nothing to be purified, with a mind that desires purification. They have created division with respect to that which cannot be obtained by their hopes and fears that it can be obtained elsewhere. And they have obscured wisdom, which is naturally present, by their efforts in respect to that which is free from effort and free from needing to be accomplished. Therefore, they have had no chance to make contact with genuine, ultimate reality as it is (rnal ma’i de kho na nyid)." - Wisdom Nectar, p30-31

As is common knowledge, Vajrayana practitioners are not supposed to befriend "ordinary people." "Sign that the demons that have entered us are that....we keep the company of ordinary people" - Dudjom Rinpoche I see great wisdom in this now.

The Lords Prayer - Meaning lost in translation...?

Even if the Gospels were about recognizing unfabricated presence, or whatever you want to call it, that doesn't make it Dzogchen anymore then Zen is Dzogchen. -

You are always free to read the original Greek. Many Christians learn a little bit of Greek. -

Its a typical missionary tactic to impose Jesus into eastern religion. For example, even today, missionaries equate Prajapati from the Vedas with Jesus. -

Jeff, How is what you are trying to do different than what evangelical missionaries always try to do with eastern religions? -

Bon arose in the late 14th century as a weird branch of Buddhist terma. http://books.google.com/books?id=La1CWinaDR4C&pg=PA99&dq=Tibet+Sam+van+schaik+In,+fact+the+Bonpo+religion&hl=en&sa=X&ei=JpQWUeW-No2v0AHL94H4Bg&ved=0CDMQuwUwAA#v=onepage&q=Tibet%20Sam%20van%20schaik%20In%2C%20fact%20the%20Bonpo%20religion&f=false -

Why has no terton had a terma revealed by Jesus? -

Jeff, What don't you seem to understand? Jesus may have spoken Aramaic, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the language the Gospels were written in. If you want to quote Wikipedia: "The consensus among biblical scholars is that all four canonical gospels were originally written in Greek, the lingua franca of the Roman Orient.[29][30][31][32][33]" -

The original language in which the Gospels (including the Lord's prayer) were written, is Greek. Not Aramaic, despite what Jesus may have spoken. Since the most accurate English Bible is considered to be NASB, please revise thread using NASB. Then we can evaluate your claims. -
