  1. Its just an initiation. You are not expected to recognize anything. You just have to participate to the best of your abilities.
  2. I'm pretty sure the general transmission gives permission for trul khor. You just need to watch the DVD's.
  3. You can do wake induced lucid dreaming, but it won't be dream yoga. You can do yoga, but it won't be trul khor. You can recognize ma bcos shes pa skad cig ma like Zen people, but you won't be a Dzogchenpa.
  4. Its a prerequisite initiation. There is no shaktipat in Buddhism.
  5. Whats wrong with God? Its just a fictitious entity like Count Chocula.
  6. Its an initiation that gives you permission for dream yoga, trul khor etc. It doesn't give you permission for every practice, but for many.
  7. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/patna/5-injured-in-multiple-blasts-at-Mahabodhi-temple-in-Bodh-Gaya/articleshow/20951736.cms Looks like it was timed to coincide with the Dalai Lama's birthday. This is the most sacred site in all of Buddhism.
  8. Your deities?

You might be interested in this academic Krishna book, which I read recently: http://www.amazon.com/Krishna-Sourcebook-Edwin-F-Bryant/dp/0195148916
  9. Your deities?

I know you don't agree with that. Its cool with me.
  10. Your deities?

Of course they are highly interrelated. Basically it boils down to which deity you put at top of the food chain. Dudjom Rinpoche, as a Buddhist, of course states that Vishnu and Narayana will die: "Even such mighty beings as Brahma, Indra, Ishvara and Vishnu, great sages, and Narayana are not exempt from death."
  11. Your deities?

Modern Hindutva simply wants to preserve a secular India against Islamic sharia.
  12. Your deities?

You are simply a Hindu Hinduism is itself syncretic. One of the popular deities in Hinduism right now is a dead Muslim named Sai Baba. The first one....not the second guy with the puffed hair. Yeah, you are a Hindu.
  13. Exactly. The holiest site in Buddhism was multiple bombed in a coordinated terrorist attack. You would think there would be more attention paid.
  14. But there are 5 P L, 5 Buddha families etc. These are all related.
  15. Buddhists forum vs Vedanta forum

Dudjom Rinpoche makes reference to Vishnu, Narayana, Rahu, Ketu, the Kauravas, the Pandavas etc. in the book A Torch Lighting the Way to Freedom. As an Indian, I already know what this stuff is. So it helps a lot.
  16. Westerners are threatened by Dharma, whether Buddhadharma or Hinduism. This is documented in "Breaking India" by Rajiv Malhotra.
  17. 4 elements? I'm pretty sure its 5 5 is standard number. Such as 5 poisons, 5 wisdoms etc.
  18. As usual I don't know what you are talking about.
  19. Buddhists forum vs Vedanta forum

    Its an artistic dance?
  20. I did not notice this incident on the frontpage of any western media website. Maybe they feel guilty for misleading people against Buddhists?
  21. Anyone seen: "Yogis Of Tibet (2002)"

Many mentions of Milarepa. Milarepa's main practice was the Cakrasamvara Tantra.
  22. ...

This is probably the most authentic source of kundalini info I have come across: http://www.amazon.com/The-Khecarividya-Adinatha-Annotated-Translation/dp/0415586135
  23. Not everyone is an Atiyoga practitioner. I don't know from what perspective Khenpo Ngawang Pelzang is recommending such practices. Maybe Anuyoga. Khenpo Ngawang Pelzang is indeed recommending practices in the vein of Pure Land Buddhism. Tertons experience all sorts of Pure Lands in their lives. Pure Lands, including Amitabha, are merely bardo experiences....not something external.
  24. To me its funny. You guys need to relax and calm down.
