You're both wrong. The center one is a loincloth; the one on her hip is a scalp taken off some old NeiKung master up on some remote mountain...in Ecuador I think it was...
  2. Greetings

You are the self expression of the divine. Fly true, falcon.

LOLOL That's just as funny as the 11 quote notifications he's gonna get!!
  4. Light and Dark

No need to delete it - it was wonderfully funny! I was just playing back with you!

What a delightful post LimA ! Thank you for illustrating how you and Yinny and stoney (lol) perceive. For me it is different. I do not have yin-yang eyes Nor do I meditate, or run qi or energy through chakras or little circles or anything else I stopped breathing tao through my dan-tien as a child..when it expanded to every molecule/cell/atom.. The essence in your picture: is what I experience and perceive in every moment with every breath - while I also live my day and do my chores. Both, same time. I cant explain it any other way, and even Tao is just an idea. Warmest regards

Oh no you dont you silly ALPHA male. You cant re-arrange posts to suggest I said something I didn't. Well, you can if you want - but the truth of it is lost. This: is a funny scene from a popular TV show here, and I was whacking LIT with it for not giving Laozi credit in his post; LIT said he didn't identify LZ out of his respect for your wish to avoid reading the TTC. So - do you really want to re-arrange that flow?

Then I guess this is out too: Keisaku In Zen Buddhism, the keisaku is a flat wooden stick or slat used during periods of meditation to remedy sleepiness or lapses of concentration. This is accomplished through a strike or series of strikes, usually administered on the meditator's back and shoulders in the muscular area between the shoulder blades and the spine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keisaku

Ah...right. Is he wandering much out of the Welcome section yet? I was surprised to see him in your thread.

Who needs a third eye? You know those statues..with the eyes half closed...blocking out most of the manifest.. The way I see - is with one eye fully open, the other fully closed. One eye sees manifest, the other eye 'sees' mystery. Instead of half-life here and half-life there, It's full life in Both places, same time. What more could someone need or want? LOL I bet LimA figured it out.

  11. Thanks for the open and honest answer! Speaking only for myself: When someone does not agree with my ideas, I do not consider it 'foul play' - rather that they see things differently. Sometimes I'll ask them what they base their idea on, to learn where they are coming from, and if it is valid from their perspective I leave them to it. I feel no compulsion to intervene; who am I to know what is best for someone else? Perhaps by holding on to their idea will in time further their growth..on their path. Who am I to know what someone else's path should be? LOL Our perspectives are very different, wandelaar, which would be natural. Thanks for sharing words with me, and please feel free to put me on ignore anytime you'd like.

    Always! LOL
  13. Only if it matters to you. Or if trouble is what you like to play with.
  14. If someone doesn't accept your interpretation of the evidence - what you hold as a "given" that others do not - that is the time to agree to disagree, as no argument you may present would have any affect. People only have the power over you that you give them. How could you be "involuntarily sucked into further useless debates"? If you cannot avoid a discussion...that says something outside of yourself is controlling you. If you enjoy lively debates there is nothing wrong with that! But own that you do - rather than saying your choices are someone else's fault.
  15. The good news is - you dont have to. Consider the sources, keep to your core, stay and play, or not.

I know. And, if someone goes then and reads LZ - they start from a wrong idea and the essence has less chance to get through their pre-loaded squares and corners. None of this is a big deal though; and if they read something that helps them - what could be wrong with that!

LimA - good morning! 4am here the sun is just beginning to rise Oh..dont be too touched by my words, I told you my way was different - LOL I'm not Taoist and will never be. It's only the TTC that for me has any value, and my affection for it resides in it's simplicity and clarity. For a while (when I needed names) I called myself a Laoist - as in a follower of Laozi's ideas - but for the very reasons you (and Dawei!) stated - that too has floated away. "Taoism" has more squares and corners than the words of the TTC. Squares and corners box in the ideas that come through Laozi's words. Side note: that's why I like the Feng/English rendition best. It may not be the most 'technically' accurate - but it's neutral tone sets less barrier to the ideas. No apology necessary! Nothing wrong with slanted ways. I care more about accuracy than goodness; that's my slanted way. There is never malice from me, towards anyone, ever. Sounds like a good plan! But you better be careful because if you post enough meme's you'll have read the TTC whether you realize it or not!! Do you know that ^^ is chapter 36 of the TTC?? AND your meme is the only one NOT attributed to Laozi on it. LOLOL DDJ 36 F/E That which shrinks Must first expand. That which fails Must first be strong. That which is cast down Must first be raised. Before receiving There must be giving. This is called perception of the nature of things. Soft and weak overcome hard and strong. Fish cannot leave deep waters, And a country's weapons should not be displayed. Yinny loving this says you should keep loving her!! Happy weekend to you too!!

Astonishing. 3 of those 4 images are a lie. LZ never said the first one, The second one is LZ The third one is Buddhist The last one has chakras. Higher dimensions and chakras. Attributed to Laozi??? Everybody wants to put their words into Laozi's mouth. I'd like to put something in their mouth. Maybe you better read the TTC sometime LimA - so you know what ISN'T in it.
  19. You're asking who?? I'm the one that said you were without any doubts whatsover, lol, you read that in my post, right? Since you've decided, by your statement' that "there can be no reasonable doubt" - then you are using your belief in your statement to argue with others who hold a different opinion. I wrongly guessed you were "without any doubts whatsoever" - because for you to intentionally create disharmony - over something you have only "no reasonable doubt" - doesn't show much growth... your middle paragraph notwithstanding. If you were "without any doubts whatsoever" - your contention would be more understandable. Yay on your meditating! Did it help?
  20. Hello from the north

Raindancer - hello! No need to explain it to me. Our beginnings are very similar - I stumbled across the Feng/English rendition of the TTC 42 years ago at age 21! Its elegant simplicity and clarity resonated to the core and hasn't stopped. Looking forward to your posts & welcome to the forum!
