To me, it means something different. I believe that limitless love resides inherently at the core of each of us, as our base foundation and original starting point. Being true to yourself - is letting everything else fall away, and allowing that true nature to arise.
-
Is that anything like the tuna of despair? (sorry, couldn't resist, carry on)
-
IF all of that is true, the man should be hung by his stones and left to rot. IF all of that is purchased 'evidence' by the other side, the same ^^^ should be done to each of them. So much corruption, deception, everywhere. Both sides. Regardless of who 'wins' anything - we're all the losers now, imo.

Agree. Why damning? The question was about 'teens' (not the 14yo accuser). I dated older guys when I was 16-17...and that was 40+ years ago. My late husband was 13 years older than me. Maybe you find it to be damning - but not everyone does.

I had to google who Tim Freke is; seems like an interesting fella! Always nice to learn of others who enjoy this particular piece of candy...mine seems to be of the home-made variety...dunno where Freke got his. I'm always happy to share some...even though it's already in everyone's pocket.

Oh I'd have no idea, lol, maybe you are a luke-ist; just being who you are. (-: I don't do -ist labels, but if I did, I would be a wu-anarchist (hat-tip Marblehead, heh), which basically holds that 'people are free to follow their own path in the world'. Agree and well said. Especially that ^^^ Warm regards (-:

On this, we agree.

Hi luke. I wish that were so, but it is not. This time, you might need to yield to someone who was there, as a woman in the work force, in the 70's, 80's, 90's & 2000's. Feminist organizations supporting women's rights, NOW etc, were only supportive of the women who agreed with their ideas. In the 2000's...feminist's mindsets did begin to include women who also wanted to stay at home, raise the kids, etc...as long as we did so along with being 'out there' banging against that glass ceiling. Some even promoted that we were better than men cause we could 'bring home the bacon and cook it up in the pan...' recall that commercial jingle? Not for nothing...there was a lot of pressure. And a lot of very exhausted women. They suffered, their kids suffered, their husbands suffered. (The reasons women went to the workforce are too off-topic, but once there...feminist movement arose.) The feminist mindset did harm, imo, to a lot of females. If you were 'out there', natural maternal feelings were belittled, like we were turning our backs on the cause. Those who chose to remain at home, to take care of family - were laughed at and pitied, by those who had made the more 'correct' choice. I wish it had been (and still was) as you believe it to be. Sadly, that's not the case. Other than the 'equal pay for equal work' aspect - there's been more harm than good. Of course I cannot speak for all women, and there are possibly exceptions at both ends of the spectrum. As always, perpetual IMO applied...but it's based on my direct experience, in a variety of fields, over 40 years. warmest regards

Yeah!!!!

Thanks, Lost! I got so excited when I read his post I forgot to read the rest of the thread after replying, lolol. And yes, said over and over and over again... but it wont be heard by anyone, though, until their ears are ready. Too bad, that. Or not.

That's right! Some day I will RULE THE WORLD!!! You think Matriarchy is dangerous?? Wait till you all are subjected to... RENE-triarchy!!
-
Oh dawei. Sigh.... There are so many unrelated things in your post that it would take at least 4 separate threads to reply! I know! I'll just answer each one in my head (thanks for the idea!) and that way I can make up your replies to my comments and if we go too far off topic I can split them into more mental threads! Yay! Seriously, thanks for doing the splitting. Your choices are good ones and all of your efforts are appreciated, for that matter. I think most here don't realize the amount of work you do in the background, keeping a forum this size running and maintained. At least I didn't know, until I got to peek behind the curtain. So please just keep doin what you do, splittin as you deem good...and it's all good.

So... now it looks like Ralis started a thread called 'Sexual Accusations' :rene faints: How does it get better than this?? j/k all good

(All formatting emphasis mine) Bravo, Lex! Yes! This is the one of the manifestations of 'Both, same time' - that long time members here have heard me blather about for years, lol. This is how simultaneously standing in two worlds reveals itself. Cheers to Life if that is what 'forced' (LOLOL) you into this blended perspective. Well met! Warm greetings (-: Rene

LOLOL and I always wondered why you started that thread. I was really surprised to find out that I'd also started a Topic in Off-grid...with a one-line post jumping on Marblehead. At least yours has a good title.

VonKrankenhaus - excellent post!! This whole thread could be replaced with just this post, imo. .

Hi TM I agree, and would add that males have also been indoctrinated into not having faith or trust in their "instincts", specifically the aspect of them that would have tempered and mitigated extremes. I celebrate the mostly-yang-ness inherent in males and the mostly-yin-ness inherent in females. Can you imagine a world wherein what we all had at birth was allowed to arise and develop on it's own?? The gentle rain would fall, methinks. I know, and wish it was easier to convey. Time for a new set of behaviors, methods and ideas. It would be interesting to watch them develop, for sure.

Hi Aetherous, Yeah, this is why words don't work, lol. What I'm unsuccessfully trying to convey is that there are particular sets of behavior, methods and ideas (BMI, for brevity) that have been in place for a long time. The BMIs under discussion have arisen through male-dominated systems. BMIs are not inherently good or bad, nor are women or men inherently good or bad. What I'm trying to describe, again unsuccessfully, is that a new set of BMIs might be a good idea and It doesn't matter if they arise through male-led or female-led systems... it is because the new BMIs would be more (but not exclusively) yin in nature, a female-led system might have a better shot at it. You are right, and 'rule by women' using the same sets of BMI would be no better than what we've all had for 1,000s of years. To me, this isn't about which gender might be at the helm... but rather is our path one of peaceful and dynamic balance. Thanks for your reply!

Aetherous and thelearner, hi Your posts are really good and there is a lot of truth in them, imo. IF I'm understanding taomeow's gist - the women in your posts would be examples of females who have adopted, to some degree or another, a patriarchal mindset and methodology...both of which are not dependent upon having penises. (my bold) Luke, yes. This is something different and, if there is any weakness with TM's plan - it's in the necessity? to use the word 'matriarchal' to describe it, as the word itself sets the gender component of the words as the 'opposite' rather than the process and mechanics of how it unfolds and manifests. The best example of this 'setting' caused by the words might be found in Wells' question earlier, in which he said, "Then please explain to me how matriarchy allegedly does not oppress males if it by its very definition means the rulership of mothers (who all are females, not males)." Because there is no inherent nature or need to oppress. I do not know what would be a better word than 'matriarchy' for this, but what I'm talking about does not involve oppressing anyone, males or females. Hopefully taomeow can explain it better. (-:

Agree... but careful what you wish for. If it does come to mob rule, and there is an uprising, my guess is there will be millions of sheep hiding in their pens - and any actual battle will be between the citizens who are armed and have like 3 trillion bullets, and folks who cant figure out which bathroom to use. <--- That was supposed to inject a bit of humor into the thread...but suddenly I don't feel like laughing...especially since my joke didn't include the US military and law enforcement...and who knows how that goes. Suddenly - all the stuff in this thread seems unimportant, and every one involved (perps & vics) needs to get over themselves. /rant

Saw an msm headline earlier said 5,000 gallons. Will try & re-find that. Edit. Found it, my mis-read. It said 5,000 barrels (which is just over 200K gallons) No matter how you count it, sucks.
-
Hi Chang, your whole post is interesting. This part - - I think pretty well describes what TM was referring to regarding females who adopt a Patriarchal mindset...albiet using different methodologies and justifications than what is traditionally male; as they would.... i.e. they'd reflect the other side of an unbalanced coin.

Just to keep things fair and balanced (lolol) here is another one; his most recent heinous assault occured in 2016, at age 92ish. Ewwwww (hurl) http://abcnews.go.com/US/multiple-women-accuse-president-george-hw-bush-inappropriate/story?id=51204025
