The little keyboard that pops up whenever I click on a reply window - has a button with a smiley face on it, that opens up hundreds of emoticon choices. πŸ‘πŸ‘…πŸ’‹πŸ‘‘πŸ‘ πŸ’πŸžπŸβš½οΈπŸ€πŸ…β›·β›³πŸ₯‹πŸ€ΊπŸŒπŸŒ‹πŸŽ πŸ—½πŸŽͺπŸš½πŸ›©πŸŒ¨πŸŽΈπŸ₯πŸ“‘πŸ”ŽπŸ”πŸ•ŽπŸˆšοΈβ™ΎπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Who knows what all those look like on others' devices! lol

Hi rainbowvein! Yeppers, I found all those things! Nowhere was Sig edit. The old mobile version didnt have Sig edit either - but it did have a link to the PC version, which has everything! Thanks & All good. (-:
  6. Mobile Version Questions

Right. There's some little things we can't do on the mobile version...like create/edit/etc our own Sig line; need to come in on a PC for that. No biggie. (-: I use the default theme rather than the TDB one. Cleaner, loads faster. Thanks for the try, most appreciated!
  7. Mobile Version Questions

    No worries, thanks!
  8. Mobile Version Questions

Greetings earthlings (and dawei too!) There use to be a link on the mobile version through which one could access the full site. Is there still? Where? Thanks!
  9. CityHermit!:Hello

Late 80's, major summer storm took power out for 2 weeks, quick adaptation, sucked at first... but after a few days I found simpler, gentler ways of doing things and the peace & quiet was wonderful. So much so - that when the electricity suddenly flashed back on, the noise of the fridge, all the lights, the TV blaring, the clocks & microwave beeping - it felt like an invasion. I walked over to the breaker box & shut off the main. (-: Lived without electricity by choice for the next few months, while looking for a place with a woodstove...so I could live this way through winter, also. Not having power bills are also a plus, lol. Best of luck!
  10. CityHermit!:Hello

🌲 been there done that, loved it. Do you by chance recall how he cooked, or heated water, if he did? Raw foods & cool baths were my way - and a small candle burner for tea. 🌹

Yay! Eclipse all but gone here, we're in the 90% zone. The quality of light increased even though it got a little twilighty out. Watched it through hubby's arc welding helmet... and the coolest thing was the thousands of eclipse images filtered through the trees all around us on the ground everywhere! Yeahhh!!!!
  13. Church of Jediism ?

Your point and words were easy enough to understand, lol. I was curious about your apparent need to judge others, and find them lacking. Thanks for your reply!
  14. Zhenren: The Authentic Person

Well said, and agree. Spiritual institutions cant sell you a cure without first convincing you that you are sick.
  15. Church of Jediism ?

9th, hello! I'm glad you found something to laugh at this morning. (-: Not sure why you'd find others finding happiness and satisfaction as quite sad. I like that we each have our own way; I leave them to theirs, as I leave you to yours, with best wishes on your path. warmest regards

What I like about Star Wars - is that, back in the 70s, it introduced the idea that there was something out there - other than the judeo-christian god. For many people that was a first. And a good one, imo. Prior to Star Wars the choices were believe in god or not; then suddenly! there was another option...put into words what was previously only instinctually felt.
  17. Zhenren: The Authentic Person

Nicely said! And, I agree with all - provided 'superficial' holds no negative connotation. Also agree. Many here focus on ego as something to eliminate or substantially reduce; that one must choose between body and soul, between manifest and mystery. My take is that ego, exactly as you describe it, is a natural and necessary part of everything I am. For me, the two do indeed jive: the undifferentiated becoming authentic human in our unique core; both present, unboundaried with each other and arising through our meatbags - informing how we interact with life - in full support. IF we trust it, and let it happen. Or so it seems to me. (-:

  19. Zhenren: The Authentic Person

That could be, sure (-: Agree, yes! To me, core manifests as the authentic. Very much related; especially to De, imo, for the closer to authentic, the higher the efficacy. Ziran is the why, Wuwei is the how, we do what we do. It is a simple path, unencumbered. Nice post, Steve; your words are always enjoyed. (-:

Oh shazlor! Thanks for posting that vid. Meat golems are the perfect descriptor of what an 'authentic human' is NOT. Watched the whole thing; so worth it.
  21. Spaced out

Lost, hello and welcome. Here is my suggestion. STOP just STOP doing what you think you should be doing, or what others told you to do, to bring peace. Other peoples' practices may work for them - but that doesn't mean they work for everybody. Follow your instincts. Write down 3 things (normal activities) you already do, that you enjoy, that is calming and/or brings you peace. Could be anything: listening to music, painting the fence, whistling at birds in the park....doesn't matter, as long as it is what works for you. Do one or more of your things, for at least an hours worth of time each day. During those times, life is less frenetic, calmer, peaceful....and eventually, that gentleness may carry over into the rest of your day. (-: Warmest regards

LimA, hello! I'm curious, have you found your way out of the Welcome section yet? Your thoughts and ideas would also be most welcome over in the main forums. Enjoy your day! (-:
