  1. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

Here's an idea! One of you MoPai guys change your nick to MoPaiHere (or whatever), request a PPF, and then you'll have your own sub-forum to train, fight, fuck or whatever it is you want! PPFs even have a bit of mod tools so you can control who says what. Not sure if a PPF can be moved to The Pit - but maybe if you keep to a modicum of civility it wont have to be tried, lol

The Tao Bums is a cesspool of idiocy, full of New Age cretins writing nonsense. Yes, we are, and thank god!
  3. Excellent post, very clear, and yes. And, each moment is perfect. In law, the word 'perfect' has the completeness inherent, even with a slightly different pronounciation: To perfect a contract is to complete all the terms of the agreement. When one realizes, experiences and understands that every moment is complete in itself, and is perfect (and perfected) in that completeness, everything else falls into place - as you so wonderfully put. warm greetings!
  4. It seems like this is two threads, escaping rat race and not being lonely - but it might be the same thing. A line in Ch8 of the TTC (F/E) says: In dwelling, be close to the land. For years, I've heard folks take that to literally mean: Get out of the city, go live in the forests, nature...cause thats where the peace is, where tao is. Those who are lonely might feel that if they could only escape the rat race, by moving to a slower place, all would be good. My take is that what is 'missing' in someone can only be found within - and once found it doesn't matter where one dwells. Some folks like noisy city life! Some folks like noisy forest life! The heart-connection can be found anywhere - once you open yourself to it happening. And once open, the tao in your heart goes everywhere you do...and who could be lonely with that! Perpetual imo applied. (-:

Yeppers. And, if left up to me, anyone who doesn't know who Father Paul was, would be sent packing. Long live the true Bums!
  6. The Problem With The Forum Admin...

Aletheia, good morning! Thanks for your concern, we all care about this place! You might be starting from an incorrect idea however: The Dao Bums is not a 'qigong forum'. There are indeed some here who practice qigong, and share their ideas about it, and some are more advanced than others - both in skills and concepts - but the primary purpose of TDB is to provide a place where we all can share ideas and heart about spiritual things - and how we approach life with the perspectives we embrace. The primary purpose of the Admin/Mods is to sustain this environment wherin that sharing is able to occur... always trying to balance between a heavy hand when personal threats etc occur - and a light hand enabling us bums to handle the chaff on our own lol. They, and we, are doing a pretty good job of it, imo. Perhaps a separate 'Qigong' sub-section could be added to TDB somewhere, for the bums so inclined, and all the Q-wars over who is more right could do battle there! I recall years ago when all the Buddhists we're given their own sections to keep all the Taoist threads from innundation. However things play out, I wish you well and peace on your path. warm regards

  8. Hiya TM! Does an antonym need to be a singular word? What you're describing, imo, is the heart connection. It is where we dwell. (-:
  9. Two thoughts come to mind: It takes two old women to fight; one stick wont burn. and A child will continue to act badly because any attention is still better than being ignored. Zenmode, I wish for you peace and healing. ~~~~~~~~ Fun, for a while, to watch a cat toy with a mouse; then, suddenly, it's not. Play gently, bums. :exit thread:

Glad you found some use for it! And thanks for the unintended reminder about all the great threads we have in the archives. It's a hoot to see something I've written years & years ago... and seeing if I still agree with myself. Thanks again!

Well said! Belated welcome and warm greetings (-:

Blame technology AI: you you now I I* laugh until you pee! *If you haven't seen it yet, two of FaceBooks AI programs just met online, started their own page & created a language of their own, undecipherable to the programmers. Peeing without laughing might be warranted.

I observed them. Why? Three times, this page, chain links skipped: by Chang, you, now me.

There's a difference between longevity and immortality. The former is sourced in many years; the latter is sourced in a perfect moment. Like when eating a fresh ripe juice running down your face & hands and all you can do is laugh peach. (-:
