Ok, I finally decided if I have beliefs or not. I do, based on my experiences, and here they are, all of them: I believe people are inherently good inside, and do the best they can with what they got. I believe life is worth living. I believe when my time ends, I will cease to exist, my cellular energy will be recycled, my body will feed the coyotes. Being so, what could there be for me to fear or worry about? What comes, comes - and it's all good, even when it's not. Warmest regards

Well, now I dont know if that^^ is right or wrong, heh. Great points all. (-:

Yueya, you are right! Thanks for showing me my error; I thought I might be right but I was wrong. (-:

Zhongyongdaoist, that was quite a meal for someone starved for attention of any kind. Doesn't even matter what you said; that you spent the time & energy so focused on him is what nourishes. Children act out to get attention from emotionally absent parents; being yelled at is better than being ignored. Ever wonder why shunning is so damn effective?

It must be; I am. Even Dao is just an idea. (-: warm greetings

silent thunder, well met. WuDao.

We do. And, there is nothing more powerful than 100% efficacy. TM's story of mouse-Te always comes to mind: Attacked by a cat, rather than trying to become a karate cat-chopping powerful "super-mouse" - it uses its mouse-Te to efficaciously run, survive. Mouse being mouse. No greater virtue. (-:

With a specific need it can be faster, sure. When I need sour chocolate milk for my kick-ass mocha cake recipe - I'll sniff the oldest choc milk carton and if it meets my needs, yay! No reason to check all the other cartons for flavor or freshness. (-:
-
Hi Stosh, if that was for me, my point is only that it's useful (for me) to discern between fresh milk & sour milk before it goes in my mouth. Both fresh & sour have their usefulness; both can either benefit or harm (depending on application); both can be considered good or bad (not inherently within themselves) for the intended need/use. Structural categories can help with those determinations. That's all. (-: Warm regards

Indeed!! Or any sections at all! Or threads for that matter! TDB can be a big pile of random posts, in no speific order, to dive into & play! No fights that way cause there'd be no structure to press against! Hell, we dont even need posts - we can all just throw words out there and they can fall, or not, into some semblence of order/chaos until we realize even words aren't needed, and we can just sit & smile & watch the little letters dance across the pages.... or not. The "Way of Dao" (Dao's Way) IS power. Nothing but, imo. Nothing is more powerful than when it manifests its own nature. Again, imo.
-
It is, very. And it is the foundational understanding of Laozi thought.

I like 'unencumbered'.

Heaven, Earth, Sage are without partiality as to arising and returning. It is all a straw dog... Yes, finally, thank you.
-
It does, yes, along with non-dualism. (-: ... He who knows how to live can walk abroad Without fear of rhinoceros or tiger. He will not be wounded in battle. For in him rhinoceroses can find no place to thrust their horn, Tigers no place to use their claws, And weapons no place to pierce. Why is this so? Because he has no place for death to enter. ~TheLaozi,Ch50,F/E

Friend of mine calls subjective 'second-level thoughts'. Look, tiger! (What we see) Bad tiger! (What we think about what we see) Both useful, and necessary imo, to function.

Ah okay. For me, the character, game and "player" all also exist unboundaried (to each other); I was curious how it was for you. Thanks for elaborating, Jeff, most appreciated!
