Is it immoral to post pictures of dead people?
rene replied to MooNiNite's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes on TV, in old black&white re-runs of shows like the Groucho Marx show, the camera scans the applauding audience and I'm like, Huh, all those people are long dead. /-: Kinda weird, yeah. -
Counting All our Relations? Yes, many times that

There might be one or two ancient cultures on the North American continent who would disagree with that, heh. (kindly s'cuse m'off-topic blather. (-: )

Edit: to make pic appear! Thanks Kar3n!! 2nd edit: Damn. LOL 3rd edit: Least I got the link back on. Oh well. Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! 4th edit: By Karen 5th edit: wow, that's a whole diff url. I think yours went to the source & mine was layered up. Thanks for doing that, Kar3n! Now I just hope the image isn't offensive; wouldn't that be a hoot?

Could be, sure! Sad, imo, to not let children believe in a little magic and joy; opting instead to slap them down early to ingrain them against their own young ideas of what might be possible - in favor of their parent's bah-humbug viewpoint. The last line in the OP's article speaks of the benefit of squelching kids' belief in the "supernatural". /-; As for me and mine, all things are possible and this house believes in Santa. (-:

Watching Vikings-Cowboys game. Receiver angles in for touchdown. As he runs towards the goal line he basically straddles pylon, the ball (carried outstretched in his outside hand) does Not cross the plane Between the pylons. Why is this a touchdown? His right foot crossed the plane between the pylons, but the ball did not. What am I missing? Thanks!

For me too, and there is nothing to add, imo, for what more could be needed than that?

Wonderful thread, Yueya. My nature is to rather than have no attachments and desires, their 'intensity' (importance of attainment or fulfillment) is nominal. For me, the inner peace, the manifested child of the Valley Spirit, is home; the place from where I extend to interact and experience whatever comes. Warmest regards (-:

My take, fwiw, current admin didn't want this battle on the end of his watch (retreat/delay); new admin will approve route (advance); msm against new admin will keep issue at the fore (trying to stay relevant) Time will tell.

I'm sure the Lakota have been lied to before; doubt naivety abounds. Always hope, with all eyes open.

It is, indeed! Good holidays to you, sweet friend. (-:

Nei xin, yes?

To me - truth is of the mind, love is of the heart. As your question is either/or - I choose love. Always and only. (-:

:-p'''' Shoulda been worse, since Nebraska played without a quarterback.

Hiya Ralis (-: Grew up a Husker (70s) but that dynasty is long gone; now married to a Seahawk fanatic, but I'll always cheer Vikings cause I'm a woman of the North (Viking, Lakota & Jew by blood lolol). Also in my good wishes are any team playing against any Florida or Texas team at any level. Had to chase coyotes from the yard last night so missed the last 3 min of the game (just as well); it was Dallas's second touchdown earlier that was suspect (to me). I know they're reviewed heavily, and I believe your words, but here's the thing: In an up-the-middle attempt - the ball itself must cross the plane, not just the player's helmet or some other leading body part...so...why would it be enough for just the shoe to touch the pylon, or the corner barely transversed by something other than the ball? Edit to add: Just watched the vid you posted (thanks!) and the replay shows the ball itself clearly on the outside of the sidelines. So, it must be as you said: foot touching is enough. Well, that sucks. lolol

Me too. It wasn't challenged, and as all scoring plays in the NFL are now reviewed I guress it was good... but I still want to read the rules regarding this. Maybe I can find a link. Thanks for your reply, Brian, always appreciated. Any other thoughts most welcome (-:

Maybe ends aren't really dead, maybe they aren't really ends either. Each moment contains change; perhaps that's the fire transmitted: the essence we take with us - from one moment to the next.

Here are a few laudatory options for balance: That was a really really good post! Thanks for trying to bring the sides back together. Thanks for bringing us back on topic. Your words reflect your open heart; well met (-: Smaller list than the jaded one - maybe kindness doesn't need as much verbal support between those who already embrace it. warm regards (-:

Has anyone here achieved super consciousness?
rene replied to Drifting_Through_Infinity's topic in General Discussion
If all one has is a hammer - everything must be perceived as a nail. Cheers!
