  1. Chapter 1, Section 5 Concepts

@ MH Yes, I know how important it is to you. And if you were Steward over this sub-forum, you could hide the off-topic posts. Edit to add: Including your own.
  2. Chapter 1, Section 5 Concepts

Hey dawei - while you're here - Marblehead stated: "Chuang Tzu was a mystic. He talks often of mystical concepts. But here we can see that even though there may be immortals or even gods of supernatural powers they are not going to bother with the physical constraints of the physical world nor bother themselves with the problems of man." Does that line up with the #4 item in your earlier post? Thanks!
  3. Chapter 1, Section 5 Concepts

Yes, but your thoughts hold value to those who ask questions - even if questions seem to be directed elsewhere. Who knows how long the fighting fish would be underwater Thanks for explaining your ideas regarding this section - and I think you did a pretty good job replying just now to Stosh's post too.
  4. Chapter 1, Section 5 Concepts

Stosh brought up a good concept point last night; I asked a good concept question 3 hours ago. MH gave stosh a pat on the back with only a "good question, son" rather than discussing his idea. My question, like stosh's, was on-topic and so far no reply. Everyone's (including Marblehead's) posts and focus is on the two chinese fighting fish. I'll check back later maybe to see if there is any interest in concepts. There's a whole shit-pot full of these MMA re-runs from over the last couple years right here in the Zz section if that's why you're here. Not me, though. (-: Peace out. .
  5. Chapter 1, Section 5 Concepts

Through what method does Zz suggest That man's concentration of his spirit-like powers would effectively eliminate one half of the whole? [-->Every action is one of simultaneous creation and destruction; such is the way.] Was Zz trying to suggest that it was possible to remove dark from light? Thanks-
  6. Haiku Chain

  8. To finish up a discussion with Flolfolil: Here, from the sister thread to this one, regarding the 'last step in the Buddhist path'. (Thanks Steve!). warm regards
  9. non-negative negation

Steve, thanks for posting that. I'm going to copy it into another thread for Flolfolil. (-:
  10. non-negative negation

No need to. (-: As OldChi said in a different thread... everyone is at a different place on their path.

Letting go of everything Eventually even means Letting go of letting go.
  17. non-negative negation

We each see through our own filters, yes? I have a very positive view of you.
  18. And it's a very good issue to explore indeed! warm regards
  19. Actually, it isn't. Letting go of the limited concept of "only" emptiness is the last step in the Buddhist path. I'll yield to Buddhist scholars to confirm this, or not, if they choose to do so. Letting go of everything Eventually even means Letting go of letting go.
  20. non-negative negation

And I just replied in your 'own' thread, but to help you out - I'll post the gist of it here too. *** There was nothing said in this thread about one way is better than another, or that one path is better than another. Read it again. What is being talked about was misunderstanding and/or misusing the meanings of specific terms in a specific path. Another example of what 3bob is talking about - is when folks think "wu wei" means sitting on your ass on the couch doing nothing. Maybe sitting on your ass is a better "way" for you or maybe it's not - who is to know or judge? The point is, and was, understanding terms.
  21. Seriously, folks who jump into something they don't agree with just to stir up trouble need to look at their own choices. True purity, true self, true bliss, true permanence: the clarity of simplicity. (-: Nice thread, 3bob.
