Doubts about the Kunlun practice and the teacher seems to be very common. Does the practice itself trigger these fears? Joe

Guess I'm built differently. There has been two Kunlun books and inbetween the first one and the second one students practiced what was written. There has been lots of hands on practice in regards to retention, if no one was able to follow through or if students had problems and turned to other techniques that worked better I would have expected an update in the new Kunlun book. It just seems to me with something like this that can cause health problems there should be an update. I've been reading doing more reasearch and it's a big issue. it may be an old practice but there's something obviously wrong with it and doesn't benefit some men. I told you I have a problem with things like this. What if i just had the book and hadn't read the great advice here from students, or was too stupid to ask and couldn't recognize if I was doing myself harm? So I will wait for the updated version. I'm meditating and shaking with Keeney in the meantime. Joe.

Funny! From what I've read so far it feels like it's good to be cautious especially if it could lead to health problems. I'm just not going to go there right now. I'm in no rush for any of this. Thanks to everyone for the great advice. Joe.

Okay. I have to say that all of this hasn't made me feel good about learning from the Kunlun book.I'm going to wait to order it until there's a new updated version that details the problems with the hui-yin technique and offers more user friendly ones. Thankyou joeblast and special thanks to Trunk. I got my copy of the "Bushman Shaman" and will read that in the meantime as well as try a couple of things Yoda mentioned in another thread to get me started. Joe.

"Many there give good advice". If Max hasn't been there to answer questions then who answers them? How long has Max been teaching Kunlun? Thanks Joe.

I'm wondering why it's in the book then. Are there those that practice Kunlun and this technique that feel that it is safe? Joe.

No bump. I might not be the sharpest crayon in the box but I like myself and I'm happy with my life. I have a healthy respect for the blessings already in it. So if I need to take more time to really think about this and make sure I need it then I will. Joe. -

Hello. My name is Joe. I have been visiting this site for a little over a year now. My thanks to all of you for keeping it interesting. I've been following the posts that mention Kunlun and have been thinking about ordering the book. There is a question I'd like to ask before I do, so that's the main reason why I've become a member. Joe.

February Jenny Lamb Spontaneous Qigong seminar!

Jenny Lamb's seminar sounds good. Did anyone else go to it? For the person who wrote the review Yoda? if you went to her seminar first would it have been enough? Joe. -
Thanks minkus and Yoda for your responses. i'm going to do some more searching and reading, especially the personal practice section of the forum and then make a decsion. I've hesitated so long because i wanted to see how all of this would work out after a year of practice for people. Some of the info i've read about Kunlun has been uplifting and some of it caused a sick feeling, i really don't know what I'm going to do yet. Joe.

Thank you for that Spectrum. I'll do that next time JUST ASK. Joe.
