Dear Father Paul, thank you for your wise insights and pancakes. May your soul be blessed. Prayers and respect.
  2. Clay Supplements

Ah....I didn't consider that it could be fulvic acid. That's the same stuff that's used in shilajit isn't it? Good thing the cell food doesn't taste as bad as though. The main thing I notice with cell food is that it energises and detoxifies at the same time. And the silica formula is making my fingernails so strong. Soon I'll be able to carve pictures into granite..................or...whatever

  4. Lama Dorje

Kunzag: "Their teaching is not secret because it is kept hidden, but because you need capacity to utilize them". Good point. Many secrets can lie right under our noses, of form and formless, within, without. We just need to be able to percieve them. Practices which awaken and develop this capacity are useful. Thanks Kunzag
  5. Sailor Bob ?

ive been meaning to go to sailor Bob for ages. i'll go soon, now with the weather warming up (sort of)
  6. Clay Supplements

Freesun, here's the best mineral formula i've ever used. http://www.luminahealth.com/products/cellfood.htm The process on which it based was designed by a guy that Einstien called a genius. I've been using it for a few weeks now. There was an initial cleansing for a couple of days. This stuff really feels good. It gives energy in a deep kind of way without being stimulating at all. I also have the silica that they sell as well. - very good for the teeth and bones : )
  7. Dragon Gate Dao Yin Therapy

Hey Hugo, it's really hars to answer that because it depends on how you feel and how receptive you are to his qi. there's always a benefit from his treatment, whether you feel it immediately, or once in my case, i felt it 3 days later. If you don't have any major health issues, it can be good for a check up/qi scan, at least. i feel the difference just being in their house - the qi in there is very nice. taking classes is designed to begin from the foundation and gradually get more advanced as the classes progress. 'supernormal strength' refers to special abilities that arise from meditation, divine assistance and the mantras that are taught. we can talk more through Pm if you are interested. But im busy with work for the next 2 days.
  8. Dragon Gate Dao Yin Therapy

I've been learning from master Tao for about a year and a half. The daoyin is excellent. He also teaches a few qigong techniques, powerful mantras, guasha, massage,. There is a strong lineage behind his teaching. Early level is basic, with progressive classes geting more powerful. He's therapy is great for diagnosis and removing sick qi, straightening the spine and restoring nerve supply and qi flow. There's a topic i posted a while ago titles 'master Xiangling Tao' somewhere in the archive. If you've got any other quesstions, let me know.
  9. liver article

here's a long and comprehensive (but easy to read) article about the liver and the various manifestation of it's disorder. written by a chinese woman who cured herself of many liver related problems. excellent info resource http://www.sensiblehealth.com/Journey-01.xhtml
  10. liver article

All very valid, and necessary points Todd. I look at the article as providing info on the various roles that the liver plays within the body and examples of how liver disarmonies might manifest Maybe she generalised too much, but if we look at them as 'maybes', then at least, the liver can become one area of consideration for a person.
  11. getting too much sleep?

Yoda, i've been told by 3 qigong masters that early mornig sunshine is the best as well. The yang rising energy representing growth, renewal, light, awakening etc. (is the joyous chorous from the birds about 1 hour before sunrise is telling us something or what ?) A five or 3 hour practice at that time is best, i'm told. Begining 1 or 2 hour before sunrise, you would be participating with, and absorbing the climax of yin energy, then during sunrise = the transformation into yang energy, then 1 or 2 hours after sunrise would be the rising yang energy. I think it's because of these dynamics that this period is the time of optimal potential and therefore conducive to effective practice. Major tranformations can occur from doing the 5 hour stint, it I'm told. Maybe this could be the start of another thread - "the most auspicious times to practice"? (not that 'practice' ends as such. I like to carry the state experienced during practice throughout the day, then, hopefully it can become your very way of being)
  12. vegan & being full.

Karen, Im wondering, does millet also have the insulin reistance and carb craving effect of other grains? Thanks
  13. Real or fake ?

It's an intersting topic, because I know people that do not groove at all with some masters/teachers, while others resonate perfectly with them. Like Karen said, individual discernment is important. And, to me, a pre-requisit for that is sincerity of intent. I agree with what Trunk said too. There can be hits and misses. That's why I think that if you maintain a sincere intent, that which you really need will manifest. What are the motives for seeking a master/teacher ? Is it awakening/purification/cultivation/health, harmonisation that one is seeking? And end to ignorance? Not a 'better, more comfortable delusion, but a actual 'seeing'. An inner yearning for alignment with the divine? These things are the fruits of sincerity of intent. To seek proof first, without first having an open heart might be a waste of time. A real master can take one look at you and immediatly know what your motives are. And if you look and feel, you can probably discern whether he/she is genuine too. The 'documentation' of a masters ability can be validated by your own experience. But you gotta be an empty cup. And even the desire for some 'proof' puts a lid on the cup. If I was to give any advice, i'd say that until one finds a teacher, only practice very safe techniques - daoyin for example.
  14. Knowing ignorance is strength

Hey ZenB Early (even in the womb) childhood infections can sometimes take up permanent residence in the body leading to a variety of both hyper and hypo immune responses manifesting in various ways including those you mentioned. Not saying that this is 'the cause' - I just want to say that it is a possibility In adition to the excellent info already provided, by freeform, beancurdturtle and taomeow. you might want to contact/check out Karens' site http://www.guideforselfhealing.com/ Karen is a taobums resident practitioner with a wealth of knowledge and a warm heart to match. 15. travellers and magicians

I don't like watching movies at all, never really have. But something about travellers and magicians - the review? cover?, something, drew me to watch it. I enjoyed it so much, it touched me in many ways. The story is 'feel good', the pace calm with beautiful scenery. I found the messages to be very subtle, yet profound without being 'pushy'. Anyone else seen it? Does anyone know of any similar films? (besides himalaya and samsara - seen 'em) http://www.travellersandmagicians.com/
  16. That's why i didn't elaborate on what i practice. Not because it's 'secret' - individualised yes, but not secret. For me, the cultivation is kind of personal. I'm also not good at articulating non-sensory experience. I need to speak to Master Feng before i attempt to describe it any more. Mwight, I empathise with your motives. Mine are kind of as follows: To realise the source of this 'I', (the source of this conciousness) and if it's even possible, (at least while still in this body) to harmonise, enhance and integrate every facet of this being (jing/qi/shen). Ultimatey, concious awareness of all that is. But not for 'me' as such, the motive comes from a non specific, source within me - I can't explain it ...................the futility of words Aiwei, I'm treasuring the wisdom of your posts.
  17. Vortex, i sent you a PM
  18. How do you learn?

Very important points. Great insight. Thank you
  19. Just wondering, can you please state how you would define 'most advanced' Do you mean that which would, through practice, afford you more: extra sensory powers? qi emmitting abilities? physical health? more qi, or more jing, or enhanced shen? (soul awareness) or all the above Also, what would be your reason/motivation? These are not meant as rhetorical questions. The reason i'm asking is that i know of one simple but potentially very powerful technique (for which i can supply you with contacts). To me, the efficacy of some techniques however powerful is, to a large extent, based on our motivations and expectations. For, as contradictory as it sounds, if the motivation is comming from a non-definable source within you, that is, pure non-goal orientated desire, then (from my experience) amazing results can occur. Not that you are looking for them, they just occur as by-products of sincere application.
  20. Kwan Yin transmissions

These files are by a woman who claims to channel Kwan Yin. The page also has links to previous channelings as well http://www.mykwanyin.com/small-files-apr07.html The messages feel very good to me, and immediately reminded me of some of Sri Ramana Maharshi's advice. For example, she says not to attatch ourselves to ideas of our shortcommings, problems/difficulties. So, here also are some extracts from a conversation with Sri Ramana from the book "Ramana Maharshi answers 100 questions" I added italics questioner How to get released from karma? Ramana Maharshi See whose karma it is. You will find you are not the doer. Then you will be free. This require s the grace of God for which you should pray to him, worship him and meditate on him. Questioner How a does a person of steady knowledge know that he is one such? (part of the atmic force) Ramana Maharshi In the firm natural state, through the silence of the mind free of all tendencies, the knower knows himself as such without any doubt Questioner That is not possible for me Ramana Maharshi The greatest obstacle is the thought 'it is impossible for me'

  22. How do you learn?

  23. There is a lot of power involved in ejaculation. So, I feel that it's important to emphasise that when considering ejaculation control, the practitioner needs to realise that if an impending ejaculation is deliberatley with held, the qi and jing need to go somewhere. If you close the flood gates of a dam as the water is about to spill over, you need to have first prepared and open and safe route for the water to travel instead. Aiwei mentioned this by saying "and breathe in following the micro cosmic orbit into the dan tian." I feel that there needs to be more of an emphsis on clearing and opening theses channels before the thought of ejaculation with holding is entertained. To attempt this redirection of qi and jing without first clearing and opening the necesary pathways, major jam-ups can occur within the prostate, urethra, bladder etc There have been posts to this and the HT board in the past of people who have tried to vigourously with hold ejaculation and as a result have experienced various problems of lower jiao jing and qi stagnation. Massage, meditation (let-go, opening/relaxing etc the bod&mind), chi nei tsang, Dao Yin and so forth are just a few ways of facilitating the clearing and opening of the 're-direction' pathways involved in ejaculation control.

  25. mindfulness

(note the individual mind is spelt with a lower case 'm', while the universal/Buddha Mind is spelt with a capital 'M') From the Song of Mahamudra by Tilopa ...If with the mind, one then observes the mind One destroys distinctions and reaches Buddhahood ....Though we say the Mind is a bright light, It is beyond all words and symbols. Although the Mind is void in essence, all things it embraces and contains
