  1. Mo Pai Discussion and Vote

Answer to all 3- What?? We're discussing whether or not to have a subforum, not whether certain views are allowed or to be expressed. Ofcourse they are. This is in no way a call for censorship.
  2. A Wild Clown Ninja Appears

Welcome, good to see you back.
  3. Mo Pai Discussion and Vote

Actually if someone really wants it, they could start it in there PPF. But if its one of the MPG gang it might quickly devolve into flame bait. Too bad. I liked SonofGods PPF thread where he'd print a little from the book and add commentary.
  4. Mo Pai Discussion and Vote

Stop right there. You had me at #1.
  5. Mo Pai Discussion and Vote

I miss the kunlun wars, such vitality . I voted no, Mo Pai = flamebait, unfortunately. It won't always be the case. Indeed it shouldn't be, but for now it is.
  6. Hello my brothers, my name is Paul

Wait did you say harsh language? Is that your definition of the dozen Fuck You's and other profanity MPG uses regularly there? That goes beyond harsh into unbalanced territory, in my opinion. MPG always thought there was a vendetta against Mo Pai, when in reality he created so much negativity through dozens of posts calling other practices delusional and fantasy that when reaction to it bounced back at him, he could never blame his own writing. Again on his site he attacks teachers, even those he knows nothing about viciously. He always assumed it was prejudice against an art, when in reality, it was always about him.
  7. I wish Santiago and Shaktimama were posting here more often. Santiago teaches KAP and Shaktimama is a woman of great experience. They used to be more active here. Your questions are right up there alley. Sometimes call out a name and the devil comes. Or angel. With Kundalini stuff it can be hard to tell the difference at times.
  8. We've watered down greek myths in our culture. The originals were quite involved, some long epic stories. I've often felt the Arthurian stories were a longing for those grandiose myths. With only an unseen God the West needed mythological characters to celebrate, warn and aspire too.
  9. Hello my brothers, my name is Paul

Silly?? I consider it hopeful innocence.
  10. Hello my brothers, my name is Paul

Forgive us for the negative tone, but MPG's tried to slip around the ban last week naming himself littleturtle, was rebanned under that name. Yesterday he came on as bluebird, same posts, arguments, video's, phrases down to strange spellings. He got 30 some posts in before being banned under that name. We only ask that you keep our site positive. There was a young member from his site who would bring posts from here to MPG's where he'd answer them with 'Fuck You's' and 'Use a Butt plug'; like an angry bitter kid with asperger syndrome. He'd also post MPG's comments and links to them. It got him suspended. I don't want this to turn into an MPG analysis. We hope his site can become a good discussion forum, but lately its ... well its not. So please do what you can to keep positive here (polite arguments and different point of views are encouraged) and keep the site content separate.
  11. Hello my brothers, my name is Paul

Welcome Paul, but have you read his site? All the Fuck You's, profanity and nastiness he has on it? His rabid posting against many members here have cost him any respect he may have built up when he was a member here. He turned a 2 day suspension into a 2 week suspension then turned that into a ban with a 'how I'll get my revenge post' to the mods. We welcome discussion on all subjects of spirituality and cultivation. MPG made a point of criticizing pretty much all practices that weren't Mo Pai as delusional and fantasy, not a good idea on eclectic site such as ours. They became a majority of his posts. He also went after Mo Pai practitioners here as making up there own versions. Matter of fact he tended to be even nastier and more dismissive of them. We welcome you and discussion, but hope that you keep things positive. Michael
  12. The humble practice of doing dishes. Can it imbue you with real abilities and put you on a path of real development. In my opinion absolutely. Why don't we forget psi balls for a while and talk about reality and doing dishes. If we want to discuss real, then how about masters we can meet and talk to, like in a Buddhist monastery. Some monasteries are very strict in limiting noise, even to the point of serving softer food so even chewing is quiet. Doing dishes takes particular skill in such an arena, every pick up and put down has the chance for a loud clink. Such an environment demands exquisite awareness and mind body coordination. Washing becomes akin to surgery done mindfully, efficiently and thriftily using as little water and detergent as possible. We're not in a monastery but can we wash dishes with such care? Can we keep it from dipping into a mindlessness? Not easy. There are other powerful aspects to it. At an ashram, a young woman with bright eyes asked if I would do the dishes. When I hesitated, she said never mind its too advanced. That was a burn, but I don't think it was meant to be. There were over 100 people eating, which meant 100's of dishes, an hour or two of work. I'd made friends, I wanted to talk to them, take a walk on the beach etc., Not do dishes. The activities were all about entertaining myself. Me, me, me. There is a high spiritual aspect in forgetting the me, and doing work that needs to be done. There is a high spiritual aspect in stopping the notion of this is good activity, this is bad. Stop dividing the world and seeking entertainment; do the dishes, do them well. End the mind set of looking for better, looking for escape. Powerful stuff and a lesson I haven't internalized. (though I believe there is an important balance possible but we tend to lean too much towards Me-ism.) What I'm saying is if the goal is cultivation; becoming a complete human being then Yes, washing dishes is a practice that can teach awareness, mind/body coordination and humility. If you have a seated practice where you create psi balls, then the qualities created and reinforced doing dishes properly will help you with that. Life is a series of doing the dishes. If you want to attain spirituality understand its All Practice, do it mindfully. Want to improve your energy manipulation practices, work on perfecting your dish washing skills, its all connected. and that is the simple, awesome yet ignored truth, its all connected.
  13. wang liping retreat 2014

I wonder if we're too hard on people like this? Ye olde practitioners are old. They were raised in an environment of prejudice, in the case of many Easterner's brought up with a steady diet of propaganda against the West. And unfortunately some of the worst of it, wasn't propaganda. Still there's a inner greatness to see people as people and judge them as individuals. At least Wang seems open to teaching all and wrote a book sharing his experience.

Sometimes students are more interesting. They're more down to earth and relatable then a master.
  15. Getting used to the heat.

In general during meditation I was taught to breathe in and out through the nose. An exception being in a moist hot environment breath in w/ nose but out through the mouth.
  16. What attracts such negative entities? Bad ethics, bad luck, bad karma.. any specific actions or beliefs?
  17. Greetings carbon-based bipeds

if I may ask. Which aspects make it extremely esoteric?
  18. What's the easiest way to live in the present?

A good martial arts program automatically have an awareness component built in. Few things sharpen the senses like the potential of getting hit. The question is, can you take heightened sense of awareness with you off the mat?
  19. I'm kinda hoping that if I ignore that side of beliefs, they'll ignore me. While there's a certain amount of childishness in that, to what extent does it work? Do firm believers tend to have spirit problems and skeptics don't? Or like the person who thinks they have entities but it's say.. schizophrenic, do skeptics do the reverse? ie think they have mental problems and string of bad luck when its entities.
  20. Seasons

Taoism is very into seasons. Giving them colors, pinning organ/gods to them. Characteristics of wet or dryness and distinctive sounds. Really oriental 5 element theory is much about how seasons flow and change.
  21. Greetings carbon-based bipeds

, I'm only carbon on my mother's side, and bipedal on my fathers. Welcome to the bums. I look forward to your contributions. I've never heard of Drifting Cloud Qigong. I think there are innumerable qigong styles out there. It'd be interesting to learn the origins and lineage of them.
  22. Cottage Cheese + Flax Seed Oil

Just made and ate some flax & cottage cheese 1% fat. Blended 2 tablespoons oil w/ 6 cottage cheese. Had to add a tablespoon of milk to get smoother blend. Drank about 2/3rds. Nice yogurt-like consistency, but didn't taste good. Like a butter milk base for a dressing.
  23. I've enjoyed the Gateway series. It tends put me under. They've never given me OBE's but gotten me deep trance states. I've enjoyed the ones where you answer various questions and build things once your in state. There are times we're receptive and others when we can't go as deep. Because its biaural, good headphones help alot. I listen to them lying in bed, with as little distraction as possible. That means being a little tired helps too. If I'm too wide awake I won't go under, at least not as deeply. I also recommend not going to fast. Getting well familiarized with the very important level 10 before jumping from tape to tape.
  24. 100 years ago, warrior

Gracie trained fighters eat 'kickers' for breakfast. The two cops attacked quickly, attacking high and low simultaneously. The only problem was the fighter's hands getting very close to one of the cops guns. That, is the big problem in the fight imo. The MMA fighter wasn't even trying for it, but his hand was just inches away from it. Not staying on your feet and controlling distance is not good when you've got a gun.
