  1. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

I have his original book somewhere.. Since a few people want it, why don't we make it a library book. If I send it to you, you have to send it to the next person in line within 3 weeks. If that sounds okay, PM me your address. Sincerely, Michael
  2. free will is worthless

I'm looking for someone who doesn't believe in free will to become my slave. I'll tell'em what to do, when to do it and what to think. After a couple months of not being in control of their lives we'll see how they feel about free will.
  3. Philosopher's Stone Claimed to Be Recently Found

We used to have some passionate Ormus people here and a few threads on it. Whats up with Ormus these days? Thanks Michael
  4. Bliss VS Awareness

I voted Awareness. Bliss is nice; a great energizing cleansing sensation, but Awareness is life.
  5. Moderation at the tao bums

You know what I think the problem is. ..You don't do you. ....Well screw you. To be equally ironic, there is a problem with discussing judgements handed out by the moderators. Earlier when someone was suspended that was it. No discussion. Later in Forum Support there would be a little discussion, now its blown up into long passionate posts of defense and lawyerliness etc. There are benefits to going back to less discussion. Maybe the moderators should not be so involved in defending there decisions. Just have rote response, 'Thank you for input, thats not the way we saw it'. When people question, that response goes in. It may feel cold and uncaring to not be dragged into feuds, but it could be a better way. Umpires don't argue, they make a call and walk away. The game goes on. The big kids keep playing.
  6. How do you do a all-nighter meditation?

Avatar (the series) of course and anything by Director Miyazaki. The thing about well done anime is it can capture a directors vision completely. Totally unlimited special effects budget. Mood and movements can be manipulated with every color and brush stroke, as well as sound and action. Back on track. When insomnia gets bad I recommend a good guided meditation followed by some long theta inducing tones. For me it'll work for a few days then I anticipate and it stops working. Example, free podcast from Meditation Station called Evening Inventory Meditation. Short brain dump, find it on Itunes. Then a piece like Deep Resonance (Theta and Delta) from Kelly Howell I think the album is called Sacred Ground.

  8. Is Gov. Rick Perry the Devil?

definitely an off topic subject. Personally I don't care for him. He's not the devil, just another smiling politician who follows the path of least resistance. I don't want the whole U.S. to resemble Texas. More working poor and uninsured then most states and thats just fine with him, no need for change. Course there may be is worse. I'll unhappily take 4 more years of Obama over any of the Republicans, but there's a small part of me that would accept Ron Paul. Knowing most of his radical agendas couldn't get through congress, many of his common sense slashes might. He could bring a welcome house cleaning and, ground up rework of the system. That said, he has almost no chance. 2 bits.
  9. How do you heal a broken spirit?

Hmmnnn. Looks like someones hacked into Marblehead's account and is sending out posts.
  10. How do you heal a broken spirit?

Truthfully in the universal plan, I'm not that important. I think it takes a monstrous ego to come to the conclusion gods are punishing and suppressing oneself. Shit just happens. Our assumptions color our world. When we feel its collapsing drop the assumptions and JUST LIVE. Forget the gods, forget the zombies(unless they're attacking and after brains), just live life. The gods don't matter, if some one wants sex or a BMW it just don't matter. Whats happening in Timbuktu doesn't matter. What matters is what matters. What do you have to do today, how will you do it? Can you improve yourself? Learn something? Help someone? You realize there is an incredible world of possibilities. You have rare fire and determination. You just try to bite off too much (IMO). Have a plan, get a little bit better. Master the long sit. Just 1 minute more each day and in a year you'll be well over 6 hours. Now that heavy duty. There are many manuals for free on serious dreamwork on the internet. Thats a vast portal to deeper understandings and Siddhis. I think we both suffer from intellectualism. We need to be a little more mentally retarded. Really. As a group they tend to be the happiest godliest people I can think of. Why? They're in the here and now, while we ponder great thoughts that trace causalities up the wazoo. We don't have to be stupid, or try to sooth the gods, but I think there are concepts we have to drop. Or just shelf deep in our mind, so that we can take what comes with less judgement. And in your case much less negativity. If you want to be happier, judge less, despise less. Even in mundane topics you often throw down who you dislike, seemingly out of the blue. Please please please, try for one month to be positive, encouraging. Express no negative judgements. Keep'em to yourself for one month. If someone says they're filling a Porsche with $100 bills and having an orgy of married couples frolic in it, I'd like you do say 'Thats nice' and go on with your day. Odds are they're lying anyway. When life hands you lemons, sometimes, find another life. The quickest way is dropping preconceptions. You can always pick'em up later.
  11. How do you heal a broken spirit?

I really like this short practical answer. A broken image is just a mental picture. A very powerful one we keep returning to. It shows pathos, darkness, its a scene of depression. Forget it. How? Spend time in the sunlight, particularly at noontime with skin exposed. Take long walks. Eat meat, heavy starchy foods, and go heavy on the salt. Get massages. Don't be afraid of good fats. Take fish oil. Watch funny movies. Listen to the blues. Or substitute other distractions until the image fades. Then roll up your sleeves and get on with life.
  12. The orgins of gods.

Yes, very well with food for thought left over. Thanks.
  13. A Sincere Apology

Stig, Glad you're here, glad you were suspended, glad you're back. You are a thoughtful, experienced contributor here. No one is at fault, everyone did what they felt was best and nothing was done in spite..only in a passion for the ideal of what the board should be. Nothing wrong with that. With Love and Respect Michael
  14. No.1 Ladies Detective Agency

I agree. You know there are a couple of No.1 LDS's out there. There's a chance the library has DVD's of the series. Plus, The same author (I forget the name) has a couple of series out. Another mystery series.
  15. Philosopher's Stone Claimed to Be Recently Found

I think so, I was just on the HealingTaoUSA site and he was advertising his China trip. Its very brave of him. He brings people to some pretty remote sights and has some good connections. Course my information is years old. When I was at Tao Mountain he presented a slide show of his previous China trip. It looked amazing. Doing time in ancient Taoist caves was a possible add on. He might be doing things differently these days. Back on track, I'm in Billb's corner, I'd probably put down a deposit on the Brooklyn Bridge before I invested much in the philosopher stone that gives immortality and changes lead to gold. Still, good luck and to those who try. Please send us reports Sometimes the journey is more important then the goal. Searching for the philosopher stone the journey is the point.
  16. Being sick of sickness

I wonder if you can 'throw him a bone', there are many positive things about Christianity (not that I'm one). If you're drawn into a conversation you could try to move it to your admiration of Jesus's philosophy that you agree with. You can keep your own beliefs while finding common ground with your Dad and giving him what fathers want most..hope.. I admire your spirit and travels Michael (I did a write up about the Burning Man Festival in the article section you might like)
  17. How do you do a all-nighter meditation?

Good question. I was going to say it'd be a combination of slow steady practice and when you feel yourself 'going down' get up do some push ups, deep squats etc. If you don't get a good answer here, post the question on the HealingTaoUSA site. With any luck Michael Winn or one of the heavy hitters there might answer. Winn has some interesting perspectives on sleep and dreamwork.
  18. I can't vouch for it, but Otis seems very knowledgeable. Here's a post he had about dealing and healing with pain. He doesn't post a lot, but when he does, its very good. I think his posts have a link to his Youtube site where you can see the man in action. Very inspiring. Otis: I have a lot of experience with healing muscle and connective tissue in myself. What I would do, is to make the injury into my moving meditation. Find a good, non-stressful posture (even lying down), relax, and then slowly, lovingly, activate the areas that hurt, through movement. Get the pain to be just hot enough to be intense, but not enough that my system shouts "no!" at me. Basically, I listen for the "no!" and back off, just a smidge, and make that my arena of play. And I emphasize "play", because it is better, IME, to be guided not by technique or concepts, but by the actual parameters of the injury. Every injury is unique, and the body's signals are there, precisely to guide me toward self-healing. Also, because that level of intense (but not freak-out) pain, can actually be a very joyful experience. If it is not, then I'd recommend slowing down, paying still more attention. If I'm tripping over my body's "no!" signals, then I'm not listening enough. The more I can utterly and joyfully "fall into" the sheer sensation of the pain with my awareness, the faster the injury heals. Once I learned how joyful it can be to pay attention to injury, and how easy it is to heal myself, it totally changed my relationship to injury, risk, and fear. So, this (and all) injuries can be true gifts, if they reveal the body's joyful capacity to heal itself.
  19. Scotty and Stigweard

This may be beating the last remaining bush in existence, but.. forget it. MjjBecker said it best.
  20. Here here. Every now and then just go Terminator or Suspendinator. Suspension is a good reality check. Its just a discussion forum. Each suspended person should be forwarded a picture of the 'So Your Mad About Something On the Internet' poster. I consider Stigweard a friend, and hold him in high respect. But he's been taking things too personally the last few weeks. Its been effecting his usually good equilibrium. You did the right thing by suspending him (hopefully just a week). And honestly if when I get over zealous/ too cutesy. Don't moralize, or hesitate, cut cleanly and walk away.
  21. No.1 Ladies Detective Agency

I can't think of one. There is a gentility the books have, even in the face of chaos and violence, the Mdmse is true to her ideals and finds a way. Great characters. Must admit, I paged through the book and loved the HBO shows that kept very close to it. One scene stood out, as Mdsmse is looking for a lost American, and says Americans are very technologically advanced but lack a certain spiritual insight. She can sense a violent death occurred in the area. She's in no way psychic, as she says its a spiritual instinct, we've forgotten. I suspect things like that are authentic.
  22. The orgins of gods.

Cool, seems very Taoist. You're writing about God,gods and origins. How real are they to you? To what, if any extent do you see things that others miss?
  23. in the tradition of Keeping It Short& Simple. SHAKE. Shake in Vibratory mode, starting with fast quick movements of your hands (my sensei likened it to scrambling eggs) that start vibrating your whole body. Done right your body will feel a little ethereal afterwards. And/or Shake Big (the KAP way), bouncing your knees, feeling your internal organs, shoulders & junk move and up down rythmically. Either way shake for a few minutes (or more). You can find it in many traditions. for the record I also use coffee
