Whoa, that's like 9 feet tall. Cool, you know, I never expected so much. Tell your people I'd like it in the nude. Maybe a mouse in one hand, keyboard in the other. Thanks, the statue compliment, its the nicest thing I've heard all week. <a bit more serious, you might want to try existing here without putting others down. Dropping the insults and condescension and write about your practices and passions. It may be more pleasant for you. As an experiment.>

I'm working on something. it goes like this- f l u s hhhhhh <you do realize, because I don't respect you, your insults are.. not worth the paper, they're not written on. And thats sad because you genuinely have talent, but you're rude, abrasive and egotistical as hell, so not worth peoples time>

We're bums man. Just bums. Nothing special, except maybe to each other. You are too good for us, We don't deserve you. You should leave and find a forum that does. One that gives you the accolades & respect you deserve.

at this point, Your commentary is kinda a parody. ie what would a really nasty person write.. i'm just throwing out crazy ideas here, but would you want to take a hiatus to get your groove back? A little more equanimity..
-
All this talk of You're a troll, No, You are, gets silly. Though it may serve a purpose. I thought reminding people to be nice and respectful was the answer, when instead, maybe this is a necessary nasty period. One I hope peaks and goes away. A very wise man (ST) once told me- "Honestly, I see it as a pressure release valve at this point. Folks will out their bile and panic in some way, perhaps venting here keeps them from shitting on whomever may be couped up with." This forum isn't real life; so better the anger here then at our mates. Still we'll have to let it pass. Live and let live, leave the trolls under the bridge. All of us.

Thanks for sharing. I am so glad you and yours are feeling better. I assume your family is pretty typical, and sadly 100,000's or millions will be following in your foot steps. Hope they, and we, do as well.

Whoa, so you had it. How are you now? How's your family?

This site ha good information if you catch it. Including Home Isolation. As time goes by it may be good to plan some 'What If..' scenarios. ie if someone gets sick what room they should be in and how to handle and keep the rest of the house as germ free as possible. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html In other news I've learned how to use Grub Hub.. free delivery from local restaurants. Supports them, gives us a cooking break and brave new world, they leave it at the door. Tonight is Thai

Blessing food and water before consumption

As an aside, I find Chinese and Thai restaurants that have a well defined shrine (in some corner), with fresh fruit and drink, usually have the best food. -

Actually according to Catholic.org, St. Corona is the saint of ..' Corona is invoked in connection with superstitions involving money, such as gambling or treasure hunting..' (https://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=1968) The Wikipedia also says that. Corona's memorial day is 24 November (11 November in the Orthodox church calendar) though her & St Victor's feast day is May 14. Snopes.com was asked if she was connected to plagues and diseases due to meme/conspiracy theory going around the internet. There research was - Nope. (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/saint-corona-plagues/ . Humorously, they theorize it was created by the same 'logicians' who believe Corona beer is connected to the virus. Note- It isn't. The fact that something was named Corona, doesn't mean its connected. Or if something happens on May 14th, its doesn't mean it's connected to Israel. Many things happen on that date cause things have to happen sometime. The Pope's meeting doesn't seem too nefarious. Matter of fact its amazingly tolerant and a 'more open and inclusive education' is one its themes. A call against discrimination and towards fraternity. Seems worthwhile, don't know if it'll actually go on due to the Virus but I applaud its goals. Not that it has much power, any more then the usual yearly such meeting does. 'To this end, I wish to endorse a global event, to take place on 14 May 2020 on the theme Reinventing the Global Educational Alliance. This meeting will rekindle our dedication for and with young people, renewing our passion for a more open and inclusive education, including patient listening, constructive dialogue and better mutual understanding. Never before has there been such need to unite our efforts in a broad educational alliance, to form mature individuals capable of overcoming division and antagonism, and to restore the fabric of relationships for the sake of a more fraternal humanity". "There is thus a need to create an “educational village”, in which all people, according to their respective roles, share the task of forming a network of open, human relationships. According to an African proverb, “it takes a whole village to educate a child”. We have to create such a village before we can educate. In the first place, the ground must be cleared of discrimination and fraternity must be allowed to flourish, as I stated in the Document that I signed with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar on 4 February this year in Abu Dhabi." With a tiny bit of research, now we know the rest of the story. That if searching for treasure, Corona's available and that the Pope's meeting on May 14th, if it happens, is surprisingly inclusive and progressive.

nCov19 Development and Prevention Discussion Only

I was just wondering about this myself. From my limited reading starting around 103 is good, but much seems to depend on the person's overall health at the time. -
Blessing food and water before consumption
thelerner replied to waterdrop's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes I'll say/think 'The spirit of God is everywhere, his mystery infuses the universe', (consider the food with reverence), 'Wow- (whatever I'm consuming) Don't know if it affects the food**, but it slows me down and gives me greater appreciation for long journey the item took and its intrinsic nature. Shows a little bit of thankfulness and gratitude. Eating is one of those common place miracles we so often take for granted. <**I've read some Kabbalist, Daoist, and Hindu sources that claim water before and after prayer is different, better, purer.. But thats not my focus. On the otherhand, digestion is such a complex process that I hope the prayer affects me.> -

Very thoughtful of them, but I'm worried about the virus I'd catch using it. -
Coronavirus - Chris Kresser with Dr. Ramzi Asfour
thelerner replied to KuroShiro's topic in Healthy Bums
@KuroShiro or anybody, I've gotten mixed messages on Elderberry*. Early on I acquired some tincture with it. Some info was not to take it because of receptor problems. Anything definitive? Thanks In my home we have 1 mask, 5 people, so.. no one wears it. It just sits there, in its packaging, taunting us, waiting for the first person to grab it. from above* '..Elderberry, despite some of the claims that have been made in the media, can be very helpful. It’s a cytokine modulator, as I mentioned. So 700 to 1,000 milligrams per day of elderberry extract from syrup or lozenges, or you can also even get it in capsules, is a good idea. ' -
I thank Albert Geng for sharing it with us, but here in the West, especially recently we've had various faith healers claiming prayers or beliefs that can prevent or cure covid19. By and large they have not, increasingly many congregation holding those beliefs have been hit hard by the virus. This morning I read about a Pastor who 'tweeted' about the phony virus and how prayer protected his flock, had just died of it. So, while prayer and powerful meditative experiences like Kundalini might help, they are not a silver bullet. Practitioners need to follow the conventional medical advice, staying away from crowds, self isolating and taking care of themselves, while doing the spiritual practice of there choice.

Coronavirus - Chris Kresser with Dr. Ramzi Asfour

Thanks for the info. With 5 people in my household and a big extended family I'm looking for ways to protect them. Not as good as getting it from a China town herbal expert, but the above influenced me to get the Shuanghuanglian pills from Amazon. For $22 why not try something that can help. Along w/ zinc&C lozenges. From PDF above- Shuanghuanglian (Note: this was found in the earlier SARS outbreak in China to help considerably – a review of the already mentioned mechanisms indicates why. It is now being tested in clinical trials in China for treatment of Cov-19 infections). The formulation is composed of Forsythia suspensa fruit (2 parts), Lonicera japonica (1 part), Scutellaria baicalensis (1 part). -
Thanks rsalazar, I'm hoping you somebody else could remind us about this on the 31st.

English-Speaking Western Women Are Most Likely To Be UnEnlightened Women
thelerner replied to Heartbreak's topic in General Discussion
Compassion is always good. It not about fantasizing about the ESWW's, as not demonizing woman in the first place. Which you tend to write about alot. Its a big world, you may want to focus on other aspects of cultivation, here. -
Insult Policy Reminder Against Earl Grey
thelerner replied to Heartbreak's topic in General Discussion
I agree with heartbreak that too many personal insults are being thrown. If you disagree with him, and most here do, its best not to make it personal. That leads to low brow kindergarten games and flame wars that bring down the site's vibe. Point out what you don't like, logical inconsistencies, leave it at that, if you can. Heartbreak, you are calling for attention. Creating too many threads that are very similar and getting the same results. If you want to make a point and express your view without the landslide of insults and criticism you should consider getting a PPD. In it you can control and edit out comments that are insulting. I feel that you are open minded enough to keep in those that are critical of your logic. In a PPD you'd have the best of all worlds, self expression and ability to keep conversations polite. Which I see you strive for here, but your views are so.. well I'm an American, I have sisters, I have female friends.. they're not in any way demons from the porn industry. Thus I'm at odds with you for suggesting such but this site isn't for people who totally agree with me. You can state your truth, and get toasted for it, by those it offends. But I ask those offended, don't be vulgar or personal, you don't need that to attack the ideas expressed. For Heartbreak, consider creating fewer new threads, especially ones so close to others, because they're taken as Spam and end up filled with same old shit. Getting your own PPD, means your philosophy and ideas are concentrated in one spot, where you have some control (hiding posts) over the nastiest criticism. -
English-Speaking Western Women Are Most Likely To Be UnEnlightened Women
thelerner replied to Heartbreak's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if he read a thread by a woman who thought all Asian men were possessed by Left Hand Porn demons and the only good men were Mexicans who looked like roided out body builders. If he'd read that and think, 'Yes!, that woman thinks just like me.' -
English-Speaking Western Women Are Most Likely To Be UnEnlightened Women
thelerner replied to Heartbreak's topic in General Discussion
From my admittedly brief look, some of them are. I think controlling emission is good. Being too militant about it without being in a system that uses the it, can be counter productive. I guess not all. You said 2 woman in the US meet your standard, but most of the rest have 'LHP demonic negative entities hiding in the Mafia controlled Porn industries', which to me is on the wacky side. Malarky sold to hard up kids to explain and justify why they can't get into a solid relationship. It also keeps them from getting into a solid relationship, thinking woman have demonic negative entity inside, when in fact they're just into you. See above, of the 180 million woman in the States 2 pass your test, the other 180 million are mostly possessed by demons controlled by the mafia Porn industry. While you may not eat your words, hopefully reading them back give you a sour taste in your mouth, because that's a belief that's going to hurt your life, imo. I don't think any woman on this site would be masochistic enough to want a relationship with you. Perhaps they would talk to you and explain another world view, where you're not surrounded by demon woman. Hopefully as you grow older, you won't stick to your guns. As years or decade go by, you'll drop it, see woman as what they are, other humans with same problems and hopes as you. Not demons. You'll find one you like, one who's not 'enlightened' but perhaps interested in some path of cultivation. You'll have a good relationship and laugh at your old wacky ideas. -
Soup is good food. Chicken soup. Put oil in a pot. Add chopped onions (carrots & celery a bonus), let it saute, then push to the side of pot and add chicken breast or thigh (shred, in the pot when its done). Let that brown, flip. Add water and bouillon. Let it simmer 20, 25 minutes. Add in some seasonings. These days I'm adding turmeric to everything for a health boost. While it simmers look to your freezer. Do you have peas, corn, spinach. If you do throw some in. Likewise make it Mexican with some salsa, hot sauce(easy does it), some tortilla chips. Or Thai with some chili oil and curry in jars or powder..

English-Speaking Western Women Are Most Likely To Be UnEnlightened Women
thelerner replied to Heartbreak's topic in General Discussion
I get the feeling unenlightened and 'enlightened' woman will be thinking you're not an ideal mate. Your paradigm of woman being..' heavily targeted by LHP demonic negative entities hiding in the Mafia controlled Porn industries' is going to be troublesome. You may want to be looking for another paradigm when it comes to woman. Perhaps take a break from the nofap sites and talk to a woman who cultivates about what woman are like. Its way different then the sites you've been going to. If you're not preachy you might even want to talk respectfully to one of the woman here and find out what a mature cultivated woman is like and might be looking for. If you want a relationship with anyone you're going to have to change your paradigm. Or maybe I'm wrong and you are and have been successful with woman, but I assume you haven't, and its your attitude, driven by misogynist sites that have you on a path that will keep you solo. -
This may or may not work, but lets try. This thread is for people to talk to each other immediately. Realize it is very not private, so please please be polite. Being concise might work better too. Maybe it can function like the long missing Live Discussion function we had years ago. Only messier. If you see someone's online that you want to talk to. Post and mention @theirname and wait. Or you can PM them. Maybe this'll work, maybe it'll drift down stream.
