You got some great answers out of him. Thanks for setting up the interview and sharing it w/ us. Michael

I'll never forgive Chuck for being a good martial artist who knows his stuff in real life, for doing so many lame ass - begin back kick, stop camera, stretch leg several minutes, new angel, start camera, foot kicks perp, perp flies. Repeat through out the show. Why he'd want to do such a lame circa 1970's move in the first place is beyond me. The fact that he can't do it in a single take, also makes me wonder why he allows such lame fight choreography when he knows 'real' fight moves. Michael

Speaking as a lazy person, the easiest way to do these energy meditations is lying in bed and using a guided meditation. Minke De Vos has an excellent series in her Tao Basics I, 4 meditations for about $15. You can try to email her at Silent Ground. Chi Nei Tsang has an excellent series. The Sleeping meditation CD has several excellent meditations, such as long deep bone breathing, an excellent energizer and is $25 or less. Speaking of guided meditations I have a copy of Ron Diana's Bone breathing and NOR chant meditation I've been meaning to donate to the Bums Library. If you'd like first dibs on it email me. As is the custom in this site, respect the copy right laws. Use it, if you like it, BUY A COPY, and pass this on. Its good, but somewhat amateurishly done in a class room setting, Chi Nei Tsang's bone breathing exercise is better IMHO, but its still good and gives you a good feeling for how Ron Diana taught. Personally I like to do the Chi Gung form that Michael Winn has on his Fundamental II video. Ultimately energy comes from energy. Make sure you're doing the basics, eat properly, get your measure of sleep, move your body. Have a friend kick you in the ass if needed, its what they're there for. A friend of mine who was looking for a job put a poster w/ 50 NO's on it and a big smiling YES at the end. W/ every no, (and there were lots of them) he'd cross a NO off, and he'd know he was one step closer to the YES. Whats true for him is true for you. There's a job out there waiting for you. Finding it can be a bitch. Let me know if you're interested in the CD. Yours Michael

Pill popping I'm pretty minimal. I take one or two Life Force multiple vitamins a day. I like them because they include a pretty wide variety of extras and 20 mg of CoQ10 enzyme. I'll also take 2 or 4 salmon oil tablets a day. About every other week I'll take fiber tablets (5 or 2 x5) for a few days in a row to 'clean' me out and as an appetite suppressant. Thats about it. I'd like to juce more, but have fell out of the habit lately. I will drink V8 every couple days. I have some Polmegranite juice in the fridge waiting to be opened. Michael

I just got Alex Greys 2006 calendar . Great stuff. His books are a bit pricey, but the calendar is just $12.95, and has his fantastic energy body pictures in it. His Psychic body, showing meridians, channels and psychic centers (labeled in sanskit and hebrew) laid over the skeletal and vascular system. His prayer, a close up of head and upper body showing the same in close up, includes the most famous worlds prayers circuling the head in caligraphy. Many of his pictures show the bones as living organism w/ blood flow. I've been working w/ Chi Nei Tsangs bone breathing and seeing it helps me. Gotta go to part 2/4 Happy New Year SqAAAaaaannk Yours Michael

My favorite Sexual Message (other using wife unit) is listening to the Sexual Energy Guided Meditation on Minke's Tao Basics CD. Its about 16 minutes. First 10 minutes moves smiling energy from head to sexual center and packs, then perieneum and packs, including a rather long breath retention. It does this several times. Then moves energy up and down the orbit. Then visualizes god and goddess making love above(ala Yudelove) and moves that energy around the orbit. Then smoothes things out. MIchael

I don't remember the exact quote or story from RJ, but its something like, If you're doing this much (spiritual exercise) work then how will you do it when you're dead. I don't know if our path ends w/ death or its a detour or road block. But energy/consciousness exercises, bardo, dream yoga, etc. point to things to do while ^less corporeal^? Michael

Got mine from the Transitions book store in Chicago. I think they're listed on Alexgrey.com though. I intend to cut it up and keep the pictures as visual landmarks. Michael

Even as a peaceful semi-enlightened Ki-Aikidoist who seeks only harmony w/ the universe I find myself watching and admiring the UFC, the fights, the reality show, the conditioning techniques. Its great. One thing that shows up is those w/ the hollywood muscles tend to lose to the non-body builder real strength guys. For real functional strength it seems better to look at a fighter back, rather then big pecks. Michael (alright, the above sounded gay, I'm not, not that theres anything wrong w/ it)

Whoa, talk about the big fish, a message on our humble board from Mr. Sonnon himself. Great. I hope he knows that Sean is a big (er medium sized) admirer. My Intu Flow arrived a few days ago. I really like it. Many of the mini club practices are right out of sword practice. Michael

I've got some sea salt in almond oil and lavendar that I scrape myself w/ in the shower, moisturises, gets rid of dead skin layers. Its a nice way to annoint oneself Michael

One of best sources of body flow is simply dance. Gabriel Roth has a series of 'sweat your prayers' videos. They're well worth checking out, very simple just a few 10 minute free form dances to a particular rythmatic theme. Glad to see you back and posting Michael

Well time to out myself. I am one of the Sun People. Plato is correct we built the moon(to tell you the truth I built the moon) a couple of millenium ago. I did it to control the earths tides and the hormonal system of every female creature on the planet. Why did I do it? Kicks, just for kicks, next week I'm redoing the martian pyramids. Peas Michael

Voice, Jeremiah thanks so much for your input. Maybe you can only glimpse these things through metaphor, language doesn't even provide much of a map. Only through practice and a surrendering attitude can you come closer to its reality. Guys thank you for laying out your thoughts, I especially liked Jeremiahs 'Acknowledgement: Inner Smile Engagement: Healing sounds and movements, Grounding, Breath Harmonizing the flow: Microcosmic Orbit Process, Reinforcement: Fusion of the 5 Phases Acivation (the light body): Activating the Eight Forces (Fusion 2&3)' and his life as script is very powerful. Thanks and please add more. There's probably many of us at the Fusion level wondering if/when we should jump to K&L Yours Michael

Winns Chi Kung Fundamentals (heck most of his tape series) throws many practices and lot of philosophy at you. It really is a matter of taking from it what resonates. The philosophy is to open you up to the wider implications of the energetic world. One thing about Winn is you can take classes w/ him. During seminars he's a regular guy who willing to eat, play and just talk w/ those there. One good live instructor is often worth more then 3 dead legendary instructors . That said, I'm trying to move away from reading and thinking philosophy and into keeping it simple. Still the fundamentals like inner smile and microcosmic orbit do resonate with and within other practices. Movement compliments stillness, visual practices compliment empty mind (IMHO). Controlled breathing exercises improves natural breathing. Maybe it the difference between starting neutral and starting positive. To often our average state is more negative then we realize so that the movement and visualizations get us back to true neutrual or a more positive state of mind so that our simpler practices are done in a better space. An observation: Many years ago watching the original UFC fights BJJ seemed to be the ultimate in martial art efficiency and well, ethics. These days it seems so many people know defenses for it that over half the time its about mounting and elbowing/punching in the head til they're bloody and/or knocked out. Its lost its ?innocence? its cleaness? Michael

Hey Mike (Jeremiah) & others Please tell us more about Kan and Li, in any modality. I did Fusion last summer and I'm considering doing K & L next year, Winn is teaching. One problem, I don't particularly believe in Shen theory. I can understand it as metaphor, as a psycological device, even as a psychsomatic method. But I don't believe that the individual shen exist as such. How much does that limit me in terms of accomplishing lesser K&L? Your thoughts please. Michael

Affenbrot actually thats a good point. I stole the quote from a yogi who said it in Anna Wise's book. But even if we're not meditating 24/7, there is certainly the hope that it (the calmnestestinous ) finds a way into our lives. Michael

Not bad, but kind of wordy. My definition; when you really get into True Meditation you only do it once a day, for 24 hours. Michael
