The Speaking Silence;Inner Space by Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan; A -brief- word study to show that "seeking within" is not exclusive to one group or way and to illustrate that people of "faith" / "spirit" do not necessarily follow blindly and that "reason" need not be discarded to "believe". The Hebrew word Chashmal is explained in the Talmud as the "Speaking Silence";the meditative quietness of the mind out of which the Divine speech comes as -glimpsed- in Psalm 46:11 "Be still and know that I am God." Hi Tyler. I enjoyed your exposition;it seems there is as much misunderstanding and misuse in scientific inquiry as in spiritual questing. I dont mean to say that they are separate searches; we(human beings) need to understand as well as breathe. Yes,I am learning to walk with Messiah as did the first century followers. Thank you for asking. I came out of western protestant mindset and am learning, for example;the older testament feasts and the weekly Sabbath vs. man made hol(y)days. I know just enough Hebrew to be dangerous but it is an amazing language. Shalom, Bob

Once a man asked a preacher to prove that God exists. The preacher said to the man,"Do you love your wife?"The man said, "yes". The preacher said,"prove it". The humanist party line. Some, humanists I have spoken with would not be un-happy if people of faith or spirit were behind fences topped with barbed wire.

Humanist messiah Maher in proclaiming his prophecy commits the exact sin he condemns; blind addherance to the words of another. Yes,-people- have gotten the message wrong but the message(the bottom line of scripture is Love) is true.

paraphrase: when we know enough is enough there will be enough. the desire for money is a root of evil. a system of exchange is necessary but it is not -why- we do what we do. We don't work to get money but to provide.

True Kabbalah (Inner Space by Aryeh Kaplan) too teaches the within. Through our actions here and now,for good or ill, we interact with and influence the reality beyond our (fallen?) perception. Have seen photo of ancient carving on cave wall in China which resembles the 10 sefirot.
