I have taken several seminars from Max in 2008. I do not find his marketing misleading in any way. Besides, Max never set himself up as a "spiritual master - he has exceptional powers and could had easily done so. He doesn't even like to be called sifu, which is a common courtesy title given to qigong and martial arts instructors. I learned a lot from him and I found the practice amazing. It seems those who complains about him never met him or taken a seminar form him.

Good that some adept is doing the experimentation, innovating on old methods. Orthodox folks don't like to see experimentation.

That how I feel too, with regard to enlightenment & immortality. Thanks for expressing it.

Sifu Jenny Lamb's Upcoming Yi Gong Seminars

Form what I remembered from the workshops: It is fine to practice Kunlun with TV on if it helps or if you have no other time. Kunlun movement quite often happens on its own when I was watching musical TV videos. However, TV is not a requirement for Kunlun. I usually do Red Phoenix meditation with Kunlun - I am not doing Kunlun to avoid meditation. I do not longer do Zen or Vipassana as these practice were too gloomy for me. I have very severe ADHD, too hard for me to sit still for long, so I choose what is easier and more natural for me. Meditation is good, but the many hours of sitting Zen & Vipassana requires leaves no time for the physical exercise. -
I first learned qigong for Max (Lama Thunderbolt) in early 2008. I mainly practice what Max calls Kunlun (a spontaneous formless qigong) with Red Phoenix meditation. Recently, I stumbled upon a blog here on The Tao Bums that helped me appreciate non-religious Taoism. It is a great read. http://taoism-explained.blogspot.com/

I know of a few students of Max attaining the Golden Dragon/Phoenix Body with his practice. Max teaches other methods besides the spontaneous practice. I have seen pictures of Kan activating his Golden Dragon Body. Kan is Max most senior student. What is just as important as the ultimate goal of enlightenment is the side effects of practice - improving health and contentment in daily life. Does it improve your health sitting hours of Vipasana or Zen each day? I did not see much of it for the years I was involved in a Zen Center. When I live at the Zen Center, I saw too much petty dogmatic politicking. Well, that was one center many years ago. There must be better Zen practitioners somewhere. -

Thanks for your reply. I do not have the "More Info" button on my screen. This may be due to my junky DVD player. Well, I just have to figure some way to get to the info. -

I received the DVD yesterday. It is amazingly good. Even if I can attend her workshops, it is worth having a DVD for reference and instruction. I had also taken several workshops from Max. What Max calls Kunlun is the same as Jenny's Spontaneous Self-Adjustment Qigong. What Max had added is integrated in the Red Phoenix mediation, which helps intensify the practice to accelerate one's progress. According to Max, the two practice were once joined. It is needed to attain the Golden Dragon or Golden Phoenix body. What I love about Spontaneous Self-Adjustment Qigong is the effortlessness. The body knows where it needs movement and adjustment. It certainly use the Taoist Principle of Wu Wei (effortlessness or minimum effort). I wasted too much effort and time on Zen and other slow methods to the enlightenment. -

I just received this message from Jenny: "My DVD "Qigong for Self-Healing - Series I" has been released. You can order online from the Store at http://www.easterninternalarts.com/.'>http://www.easterninternalarts.com/. Also, the Relaxation Qigong audio CD has been updated for more healing power. Because of a request from my master, I am starting to offer Energy Healing for those who cannot help themselves and are unable to be helped by modern medical science. As for teaching, after this seminar in Colorado (February 4-6th) I will spend less time teaching seminars since you can now practice following the DVD. I will spend more time doing individual healing work, retreats and training qualified people to be good healers and instructors. My future retreats will be open to those who practice with my DVD. The next retreat will be on May 4th - 8th, Wednesday-Sunday. There will be some online teachings available in the future as well. Check back on my website periodically. In addition, I am working on making this February 4-6th seminar in Colorado also available online. If it can be done, for those who can not participate in person, you can participate online live and hopefully you can ask questions via chat . Please check back at my website at the end of this month for details. Best wishes in your practice, Jenny Lamb http://www.easterninternalarts.com/ " Has anyone try her DVD ? Can you learn much form it?
