Unfortunately, no. He had passed by the time I met him.
  6. Prerequisites for enlightenment (if any)

Recently I was introduced to Fred the mouse. A mouse who was immortal. He had the internal spiritual markings of an immortal. (No lie!) Did he desire enlightenment? Now that, I don't know.

  8. Sitting qigongs

Sit, facing north, with your awareness gently on your whole body. Periodically, you might lose connection to your body. When that happens, just redirect your awareness to come back to the body. Nothing more.
  9. V is for Vegetable

If you can separate physicality from energy, then maybe it is simply a preference. However, if preferences do stem from your energy profile, then one can understand how much of a challenge it is to make new and different choices.
  10. V is for Vegetable

From what I've learned and experienced, vegetarianism is an energetic preference. Some people can rarely go a day without meat. Others can live without it. For some, meat is too rich, or not a virtuous food choice. Vegetarianism can make you feel lighter. With that, a feeling of spaciness may also be present. Which may make a person choose to incorporate meat back in to their diet. With a well-rounded vegetarian diet, there is no reason to worry about the spacey feeling. Being vegetarian might even assist you on your spiritual path. Or, be a consequence of your spiritual path.
  11. Mantak Chia & Kundalini

Hi cheya, You have written about your taiji practice and your readings of Waysun Liao and the TTC. I guess I took you to be interested in Taoist cultivation. An accurate example of natural cultivation and the upward flow of energies is a practice you mentioned that you do: standing wuji. Which is the "bottom-up" approach - the foundation of all positive Taoist cultivation methods and the fundamental direction of all healthy lives. You're right, not everyone can discern flow, nevermind an upward flow vs. a downward flow. You can. And as you say: you are exploring. Exploring is a natural part of the spiritual path. You discover things! On this note, best to you.
  12. Mantak Chia & Kundalini

So this downward flow, it is the opposite of Taoist cultivation? Instead of refining upward your jing to chi to shen, you diverge your shen to chi to jing? I'm confused.
  13. Mantak Chia & Kundalini

So this is a downward flow?

  15. Breathing through the heels

Hi cheya, Thanks for mentioning your experience. Yes! I first felt qi in my little toes after my first qigong class. I totally know what you mean. Are you familiar with different gradations of chi? Earth chi belongs in the lower torso and legs. That's what I felt that day. (And continued to feel). In actuality, I learned that my legs weren't opening. I just was collecting earth chi at that time. And I felt it palpably! Over time, with a good bottom-up approach, your energy will refine until the chi is feather-light (also known as shen). That is the chi that is opening your channels in the later stages. Very, very fine. Unlike any kundallini (or yang chi rising) experience I have experienced. It is relatively easy to feel earth chi, and to circulate it. But when your spirit energy is nurtured virtuously (the Te stage), over time you will enter the shen refinement stage. This is when you can truthfully "breathe from the heels". Best --
  16. Breathing through the heels

The higher your refined energy rises in the head, the lower body gradually opens as well. The legs are the last to open. "Breathing from the heels" is a term that signifies a verification of the later stages of a bottom-up approach.

  19. Why do some progress faster than others?

Visit a spirit bathhouse, where a kind-hearted staff person will help to remove the dregs from your spirit, of course.
  20. Yes. If people looked to the stars to lead their lives, that would be balancing, uplifting! The majority of qigong, spiritual systems, and spiritual intent focus on jing and chi. Which keeps the spirit on the ground. We need the energy of the stars and heavens to fly!
  21. Kundalini, Now What?

Fake stage, I disagree. It depends on what's happening. However, I will admit that kundalini experiences are highly misunderstood, and too much suffering ensues because of this misunderstanding. Best --
