It takes nothing less than magic, alchemy and sublimation to create a healthy family living out a loving fulfilling life. Look around you. How many do you see?

The strategy for turning lust into love is a lifetime endeavor. If you view it this way then the pressure is off to do it now. Find someone to love. There is no technique to it. Just do it. It is the essence of being human. Is that difficult? Then have a child and connect to it. You will find love. Extend that love to the environment you live in. Be with one partner. Your energy will sublimate. By the end of this life you will have what you're looking for. All the while, never stop practicing. Find the practices you really like and do them. Evolve them. Let go of some acquire deeper ones. Stick with them. Love some more.

I went to Scott's workshop in SF yesterday. We were about fifteen participants in a small MA studio in Chinatown. We started by each of us pushing briefly with Scott. Then we worked on specific postures within Ben Lo's ZMQ form and using them for Zhan Zhuan to develop internal power. And yes structure is important in the training of the chi, energy. As the practitioner becomes sensitive to energy and to enhancing the consistency of the energy sensation and the depth and intensity of the chi feeling then structure becomes less important. After that we did more push hands with Scott and then with each other. The spirits were high and all in all we had a great time. It was short and to the point and showing how an efficient practice session need not be hours long to get very fruitful results.

Mind Light Nei Kung Vs Glenn Morris KAP
tumoessence replied to awarenessrules's topic in Daoist Discussion
Mind light does not use the chakras in any way. KAP does. No Damo's Cave in MLNG. MLNG has many wonderful standing and sitting moves and postures as does KAP. The moving part is very different in style and details though. KAP does not use strong voice work in training as far as I know. MLNG has sound as vibration as part of the training. They both use the MCO and minimize the use of imagination in its practice. I think the intensity of energy whether you call it K or Jing is sought after in both practices. Both have stillness practice. Both have great, approachable teachers. Talk to them! -
As well as Michael Lomas who wasn't mentioned above we have Ba Gua Nei Gong of Tom Bisio in three volumes that just came out. http://outskirtspress.com/webpage.php?isbn=9781432799519 Why characterize them as "best"? We all find what is best for each of us.

Anyone have $995,000 I can borrow?
tumoessence replied to BaguaKicksAss's topic in General Discussion
I want in. I love New Mexico too. Great place for practice. -
Have fun and don't take it too seriously. Learn from losing. Ask your partner to do slow motion instant replays and ask him to stop at that instant that you feel you lost balance, center or whatever and explore different ways that might work. Then continue. Did I say have fun? It should be. There should be laughter not growling.

I was looking into booking the room at the hotel to see what it would cost. The place is booked out for that weekend. -
and, even at that the evidence of internal skill is lacking.. Ah but have you pushed with him? I have, and I am pretty good myself. His videos are not a set up and he is extremely skilled. His whole point is that that the structure is not a basis for criticism when looking at a video. Granted there is not much to go by then, but you just gotta go push with the guy. He is very friendly and open about meet ups in order to get a demonstration. You won't be disappointed.

Mantak Chia-Franz Bardon Astral Energy Comparison
tumoessence replied to Jadespear's topic in Daoist Discussion
If Bardon thought that we simply had an energy body astral projection might have been taught earlier in his training. But to be conscious in it and in control is not only a matter of qualitative training, ie refining the character and awareness, but of transforming the very substance of what already exists.ie quantitative training But I have limited experience so I keep it short. -

30 days of Rawn Clark's Archaeous
tumoessence replied to thelerner's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Friend, I think the lack of the term etheric shouldn't be of concern. I experience it in the first lesson of the Archaeous in the relaxing phase, and in working with the elemental regions as a watery energy that I seem to float in. Very subjective yes. In the Bardon approach the akasha is the etheric principle on all levels, and depending on how consciousness is focused it will experience it in different ways. In later steps of IIH the akasha is experienced as the universal ether all penetrating through all forms and space.. In step two the vital energy is breathed in, and in step three it is condensed and accumulated. But for the most part the etheric of the physical is imprinted from the work on the astral and mental bodies. It is also have said from Aura Seers that they see illness before they appear in the energybody. So why not having health in the energybody and bring it into the physical body? I think its pretty good stuff until now and its free stuff that work (but hell what do have for a apparatus for 3k$) I am not sure if I understand your concern here. Bardon, and Rawn place great emphasis on character development and elemental equilibrium. All energies in this system have qualitative and quantitative enhancements and, refinements. This new balance imprinted into the etheric brings healing. In the Theosophic schools it is said that the physcial and that includes the energy of the physcial, isn't a principle. In other words the physical and its energies have to be worked on from "higher" levels. That means working on character and balance in mind and making the ego more transparent and selfless. This enhances the power of energies to be worked with ie its quantity, as well it's refining to the pure elements, ie qualities. Then the energies of the physical are automatically enhanced, and can be focused into the nadis that can handle the enhancement. To put it simply, refinement of character, practicing stillness, and sensitivity to the elements in their regions, bring us forward. The elements are not just abstract energies but also capacities of consciousness, mind and emotion. -
Rudolf Steiner........Anthroposophy
tumoessence replied to stefos's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
This is a common view of reincarnation within the Theosophical groups from Blavatsky to Bailey, Besant and Steiner. He has a wonderful panoramic view of the world, the universe, history and the future. Its very comprehensive. The danger of the theosophical views are that they have accounted for so much in their world view and it all seems so logical because by the time we get to this sense of what is logical, we have read so many details about the world evolution etc. and our logic is founded in a sense of how all those details fit nicely together. We become willing to see the world in the light of all the reading done, and it feels right, but that feeling is based on the intellectual security gained through reading information. The temptation is there to see those without this intellectual understanding as not in the know. So they key to reading and going with Theosophically based paths is to always question everything. Don't take the info for granted even when it feels right and makes a lot of sense. For Steiner for me this has meant to a large extent, sticking to written works, not the lectures so much. Understand the epistemological writings based on Goethe. Read Georg Kuhlewind. -
30 days of Rawn Clark's Archaeous
tumoessence replied to thelerner's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I will go for it with you. We can do it through a series of PM to share experiences then edit and post it here for interested parties. that would be one way to proceed. I am interested in how your having made it through step 3 has enabled or not practices in other traditions. I have always thought that through step 3 would give a great foundation for many other paths. -

tumoessence replied to thelerner's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I am thinking of joining you in this. Rawn connects the steps six and seven to higher stages of IIH so I am not sure I am ready to go there yet. I intended to practice last night but I fell asleep. -
