Sounds good, I''ll definately give it a second look. I like what Winn says, "Most taichi forms go from wu chi to tai chi. But this form goes from tai chi to wuchi". I guess that's why some call it Wuji Gong. Bu

However, after reading some of these comments, I feel compelled to maybe give it another try. Any one have suggestions as to how I may grasp, what everyone else seems to be getting with this form, but Iam somehow misssin Bu

I guess, I'm just one of those people with little else to do. But from a martial stand point, Any one who can support there full body weight on one or two fingers, has a couple of daggers for fingers, at there constant disposal. Also the circulation of chi has a positive effect on your health. and as a, great master once said. " when external limits are transcended, internal growth is spurted. But, one man's junk is another man's treasure, I suppose. Bu

This guy dose "two finger zen". But maybe the more impressive of them all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32InXIKwy-8 The link dose'nt work foe some reason. If you're interested, just key the words "two finger zen" into the search field, and that should get you there. Or "Shaolin Kung Fu/Wushu-Qi Gong-Two Finger Zen". Bu

Here's a link to the video of the monk doing the one finger stand and going through some of the training. I really like the second standing posture.

Can someone tell me what is the significance of the color purple is in terms of Daoist thought. Each time I go into meditation, I see a deep color of puple or violet light before me. I intellectualized, (probally not the right thing to do ) that since red represents fire and blue represents water, and the colors red and blue, when combined create purple, that this maybe a indication my fire and water energies are merging. Just a thought. Bu

Micheal Winn of Healing Tao USA sell material on Taoist Dream Yoga. I tried it I could never get much out of it. It supposedly has to do with the body being asleep but the mind being awake and consious during a dream state. Bu

Actually 29 days, today will be thirty. I ordered the book ( no direct transmission)and have been praticing now for 30 days, as close to the directions as possible. I do 10 to 20 minutes of the prepatory meditation, one hour of the sitting meditation and the the prescribed, twenty minutes of silent sitting. Although, I have'nt achieved what I would call "bliss" . I have felt strong surges of energy and experienced strong feelings of well being. For about the first ten days my body would shake and tremble uncontrollably. My eyes would water, my nose would run. I sweated profusely. But, most of these syptoms have since passed. The shaking and trembling has now become a very comfortable vibrating sensation. One of the great things that has happened is I have lost my disire for smoking cigarettes. That in itself, will pay for the book thousands of times over. However on the negative side, if you can call it that. For some reason, dfuring this practice, I become very angry, not at any one or anything. I just get extraordinarally angry. Somtime cursing and spitting thowing a few punches, for no apparent reason. As a matter of a fact, last night, before I even begun the practice, I was just sittng up the bench. I found myself getting very angry. Quiet frankly, this is begining to concerns me. Since, I have never been a angry type person, more of the opposite, I have always been easy going for the most part. Has any one experienced this, or can tell me what's going on Is this perhaps some unresolved anger issues welling up? Bu

"The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity", is an excellent book in my opinion, As is, Daniel Reid is an excellent author. If you like this book you should also check out his other two books, "The Complete Book of Chinese Health and Healing" and "Chi Kung, Harnessing the Power of the Universe". His books contain tons hands on material, not all the useless metaphoric psycho babbling that you get with alot of your books on the Chinese Arts. Bu

I look at meditations and chi kung, from the standpoint, of what works for me. That's why there are so many different types of meditations out there. Every person is different, every persons goals and perceptions are different. Er go: what works well for one, will probally not work well for another. Personally, I really like DR. Baolin Wu's stuff. I would say; Don't take this stuff too seriously, Just play with the meditations awhile, see if something resonates with you. If it dose its praobally a good meditation for you. If not, it probally not a good meditation for you... Bu

Who is a Christian here and believes in JESUS CHRIST?
bukejian replied to Spirit Ape's topic in General Discussion
Being a christian myself, I debated most of the day if I wanted to comment on this subject. So I 'll only say one thing on this subject. If ever you come to a point in your life, when your daoist and or oriental wisdom don't work for you. Try Praying to Jesus Christ. Bu -
I practice Northern Shaolin and Yiquan.
