There's definately something to it. I've tried it a couple times. It will will give you a hellacious buzz aroud the area of the third eye. I can only imagine what happens when you start to do this for 10, 15 or 20 minutes a day. Bu

As an alternative, Daniel Reid, in his book "The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity" gives directions of a 30 day fasting program. in which you don't get hungary. best I remember you have to take alot of pretty expensive herbs and vitamins, so I never tried it. But it might be worth checking out. Bu

I come across an interesting passage in the Bible last night. Yes, I am a Chistian first and foremost. Matthew 6:22 "The light of the body is in the eyes; therefore if the eyes be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." That one kinda makes you wonder. Bu

I tried Micheal Winn's, "primordial chi kung, wuji gong, tai chi for enlightment" . Although, I thought it was a nice form of tai chi, There was nothing special about it. It was very long on promise, but short on delivery. Bu

Well, I practice Taoist Dream Yoga, which is similar to, but different from Lucid Dreaming. Unfortunely< I have never had a great deal of sucess with it. I can never seem to make the transition from being in a dream state to being aware, I'm actually in a dream state. I think I always get too excited, at the point where, I become aware I'm in a dream state and then wake up. So I would say calmness plays a big part. The few times I have made it work, I have found it to be very productive. I would love to be able to do it consistently, and be able to work on things during the hours which, I am sleeping. Bu

I still have serious reservations about the saftey of this method. Just because some one says its completley safe or writes it in a book don't mean it is. In my humble opinion there are more things that can go wrong, than right with this method. This is especially so, with out a qualified teacher to guide you. I would advise any one practicing this technique on thier own, to take it easy, and be very careful. It make no sense to harm yourself in the interest of what ever attainment you're seeking. Bu

Here's where some of the confusion comes in on my part, The Golden Flower method is supposedly taoist in origin, I assume: as it was supposedly invented by Lu Dong Bin, one of the Eight Drunken Immortals. Then why are people using Yoga terms to describe this technique? am I to assume kundulini and chi are the same thing? I don't get this. someone please help me out here.

I practice a form of taoist alchemy, called the "Gold Light Method" in which the light is formed in the lower dan tien and circulated thru the mirocosmic orbit. I know some othe schools of thought form the light in the navel area. Seems to me there could be inherant dangers in holding energy in the head for long periods of time.

What is your actual understanding of tai-chi principles?

I would think that; You must first have form before you can become formless. -

Though, Yiquan is my martial art, and you may be saying this in different words, I would add centering, to both formulas . -
Good morning, afternoon or evening. depending on where you are: Just a brief intro, I think, I was a taoist, before I knew what a taoist was. I have always been kind of the "go with flow" type person. I never got too down when things were bad, never got too excited when thing went good. ihave always been drawn to the chinese culture, including the Chinese Martial Arts. I currently do shaolin kung fu to keep me stong and flexible and Yiquan for internal development. I don't claim to be the best ( far from it) but I'm not the worst. And yes, I am a big believer in chi. I don't claim to know it all, but I do know more than some. So here I be...
