  1. Pushups as conditioning

Doing push ups really slow doesn't do much, unless you're talking taking 1-3 minutes to do a single repetition slow. For upper body strength I'd say 20 Pull Ups and a single set of 80 Push Ups shows a good degree of strength and ability.
  2. Pushups as conditioning

I'd stay away from any type of plyometric work unless you're young and even then I'd advise against it.
  3. Green Tea

By the best I mean has the highest concentration of antioxidants, theanine, etc.
  4. Slight jolts/perineum clenches.

It goes up my back by itself, which usually causes me to get goosebumps and or shudder.
  5. Slight jolts/perineum clenches.

Are you talking about feeling electricity when you work your PC muscle? That happens to me, too.
  6. Is it harmful for young men to engage in them? Anywhere from 5 to 15 years.
  7. Relationships with older women

Looks like all is well, then. I just thought an older woman would be like a jing magnet and slowly kill me, but whatever. Asian milf at work, hear hear ; )
  8. Pushups as conditioning

That's cool, but you still don't know what you're talking about. I'm not recommending the rows as a back exercise, it is for postural alignment.
  9. Taoism and Heavy Metal Music

A few other good songs are Weak and Powerless, Blue, The Noose, and Brena.
  10. Taoism and Heavy Metal Music

forget it lol i don't know how to embed
  11. Pushups as conditioning

Wrong. Please don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about.
  12. I'm from the Dominican Republic but being raised in America, I don't know much about our folk medicine or superstitions. A few of them are Don't expose yourself to cold right after a hot shower Don't go to bed full For women trying to conceive don't sit on metal surfaces Don't walk barefoot on cold surfaces As for medicine, the only one I readily know of is mixing honey with a lime to treat cough.
  13. I've never heard of it used for that.
  14. Pushups as conditioning

    Matt Furey. Fail.
  15. Pushups as conditioning

Going to failure on anything is never good and only tires and eventually weakens your nervous system. Stop at least a good 5 repetitions before you'd fail on Push Ups and watch your numbers rise. More is less, less is more.
  16. I just face palm every time I tell a Christian how they're beliefs are mostly Pagan and not in any way original and they're like "no way!!" I never saw the days of the week like that, though; but then again I didn't see BBQ's that way either
  17. Pushups as conditioning

I forgot all about this thread, lol. For anyone who is doing Push Ups now I recommend you don't forget to balance them out with rows. The easiest way to do this is to get two chairs and put a broomstick on top and pull yourself up to the broomstick. This is so you don't create a muscular imbalance in your shoulders.
  18. countermeasures against hairloss

Use Nizoral. It's main ingredient, Ketoconazole, has been proven to be pretty effective against male pattern baldness. It's about $15 for a bottle in the US but it'll last for months. Use it 3x a week while in the shower, apply and leave it on for at least 5 minutes. Take before and afters, give it at least 6 months. Buy and take Saw Palmetto, as well.
  19. Pushups as conditioning

I wonder if SFJane found any of these replies to be worthwhile, hmm.
  20. Running

The weather is getting better here in Massachusetts so I've brought the running shoes out, mainly for cardiovascular health, anyone else plan on running this summer? I plan on working my way up to 20 miles a week, or so.
  21. Running

I don't meditate or practice qigong so I doubt I have much chi running through my body, I was just curious. Thanks, though.

  23. Running

How long does Running qigong take to use (not master)? Mal, I'd recommend walking first, 3x a week for 45 minutes or so at a brisk pace. Once you're comfortable with that you can add in 30 sec to 1 min of running intervals. After that slowly increase the time you're running while simultaneously lowering the walking time, until you're running the entire way.
  24. Nitric oxide Dr. Ignarro, Dr. Allen

There was a good thread on this a few weeks back http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/13315-therapeutic-dosages-of-nitric-oxide-precursors/
