  1. Introduction

Welcome Scott. Beautiful photography, I just browsed your site for a bit.
  2. Natural Viagra

thaddeus, I notice the effects of jing depletion most significantly in deep meditation. When I am "full with jing" my meditations are much richer, and after one month of retention it's like a whole different ballpark. Outside of the subtleties of a meditation practice I think it really varies from guy to guy how much jing loss will be noticed. Obviously some guys claim to see no effect at all. But then there athletes that will never ejaculate before a big performance. Napoleon Hill also found it important to the manifestion of wealth to redirect sexual energies toward our higher purpose.

Welcome to TTB Russell. Donating on your first post! See, now that's what I'm talkin' about. Thanks, I appreciate it. Every bit helps me rationalize procrastinating my paying gigs to put more time, energy, money into the forum here. Never heard of Ramel Rones before, I'm checking his website now. I like the look of that sunrise Tai Chi. What's your experience been with his material so far? Sean
  4. taolover

Clearly this post was merely an excuse to test/show off off your shiny new icon illustrating your charming Brittish handsomeness. taolover, I must have missed your intro here. Welcome to TTB. Sean
  5. Natural Viagra

If it's really herbal it probably contains things like Horny Goat Weed, Tribulus, Yohimbe, Long Jack Root, Macuna Puriens, Tongkat Ali ... maybe some Guarana also. I wouldn't take anything without knowing what's in it though.
  6. Okay Shieky, now I think Joe Rogan is cool...

I heard him on the radio a few months back and he just took over on this incredible, trippy monologue on how time will collapse the moment time travel is discovered because that will be the first moment that anyone into the infinite future can travel back to (because you can't travel back before time travel was invented). So the instant that time travel is discovered it will be like *boom* the whole world will instantly change because billions of years of time travellers will be coming back to that point, sharing their knowledge, and then coming back again, etc.

I've never really hung out much in occult crowds, just read a lot of books and practiced magick on my own here and there. I have a friend out here who is pretty high up in a Thelemic lodge and is a very grounded person ... I would describe him as an adept on some level. Adept is the same as Yogi really. The most advanced are so ordinary and so comfortable with their ordinariness that you can almost miss how freakin' cool they are and what a rare and extraordinary quality this is. Hmm... where to start. I think it depends on the tradition that you are attracted to. But let's see, a nice cross section of books to start with might be: Initiation into Hermetics (also check Mistele and Rawn) Mystical Qabalah Modern Magick Stealing Fire from Heaven Visual Magick Also sign up for a membership to BOTA and follow the lessons they mail you. You can also try to find a local group, there are a bunch. Also heard good things about RJ Stewart but have not checked it out yet myself. Hope this helps! Sean
  8. I didn't really post it with any particular goal. Just a news bit I stumbled across and figured I'd share. I've been pretty busy lately and also kind of in a "quiet mode". But I realized that I bump into little shreds of news and such in my research and that I could share things like this here more often ... especially when I don't have that much to say otherwise.
  9. Taoist temple murders

Well I think this is the part that should at least raise an eyebrow of skepticism. Not sure what the motive for making up a story like this would be, but you never know with that wacky Chinese "state media". When I was doing some web research on Falun Gong a few years back, trying to get an idea of what the whole thing was about, I probably chewed through about 50 or 60 websites. I found that there were basically three distinct categories of thought about Falun Gong. Something like: 1) Falun gong is wonderful. It is not a cult. It's peaceful and a spiritual practice, etc. 2) Falun gong is just another form of qigong. Not special. In a lot of ways it's just average. 3) Falun gong is a DEADLY cult whose followers are known to BUTCHER their entire family and neighbors, remove their skin and make a grotesque clown costume out of it. They then wear this skin costume into town where they begin using automatic weapons to spray bullets into school playgrounds. The leap from #2 to #3 was always so completely outrageous like this, and the #3 sources were always from something like "state media". Hmmmm... Sean
  10. Ludmila!

Doh, I thought I had that turned on. I just turned it on. But I've been reading a lot of posts on the IPB support forums lately about this wave of Russian spammers. They are hitting everyone. And the bots can crack most of the captchas including the default IPBs. The intro post does help a lot! 99.9% of the time it's completely obvious in this first post what a person's intention here is. And plus I think it encourages people to say hi which we all love.
  11. Ni Hao, Bums! :>)

Oh man, tell me about it. Not at all. That'd be great. And if you put a link to your site in our links section I'll approve it right away.
  12. Ludmila!

I've been getting a LOT of this lately and as the board gets bigger am going to need to find a better solution to preventing it. I've been having to delete 10-40 fake new users a week. A lot of it seems connected to this lonely Russian girl without a credit card scam. Some people must be making halfway decent money with it. I am guessing they try to flirt you into signing the both of you up for a dating service account (via their affiliate link of course) under the pretense that she will upload photos of herself, etc. I dunno.
  13. New Discovery

Well that's all you have to say to get the polarity responder involved. I played with this a few times yesterday and was struck by it's simple power. When I was doing it before bed last night I started spontaneously associating into many many old places I've been in my past that I'd forgotten about, and so this brought time into the meditation as well which added to the disorientation. Eventually I did break through into a pretty profound emptiness I must say. All this reminds me, have you read Time, Space, Knowledge yet? Seems like this is really up your alley, I've heard really good things about it.
  14. Ni Hao, Bums! :>)

Hey man, welcome to TTB. That's a nice site you've got. I'm poking around on there now. Really diggin the gallery.
  15. Greetings from an English meditator

  17. tao yin and paulie zinks' taoist yoga

I'm still thinking about it. Gotta re-check my schedule and funds. I have been saving for an intense teacher training course at Yoga Mandala in Berkeley and it may conflict. I'll get back to you.
  18. Paid Supporter

Well maybe it will arouse enough curiosity to click on it ... I made it a link to the subscription page now.
  19. Hello to everyone!

Welcome! Nice avatar. Congrats on learning the 108 form! I think I have about 4 of the moves down now.
  20. Paid Supporter

How about a mystic knot. Blue. Subtle. Sexy. Whaddya think?
  21. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

"myriad lives like blades of grass yet to be realized, bow as they pass they are cold, still, waiting in the ether, to form, feel, kill, propagate, only to die dissolve magically, absurdly, they'll end, leave, dissipate, coldly and strangely return" --- The Shins, "Those to Come"
  22. Help me find a martial art

Yeah, to be honest it messes me up a bit too. Limpin around with bruises for a few days. Yoga and joint rotations help. Hot epsom salt baths. I wish I could afford weekly massages. I just ordered some ZMA and cissus, hopefully that helps too.
  23. Da Liu

Hey Daniel, how was that book. I just picked up T'ai Chi Ch'uan & Meditation almost solely for it's coverage of a diagram I am studying, but I am liking it for the rest of the content as well.
  24. How do you keep cool in summer? Ideas?
