In terms of Light and Dark - there are two uses of 'Dark' in mystical writing. One is obstruction as in there being something between you are the light or perhaps living under a stone in ignorance .) If you read this from St. John of the Cross then you can see he means something else: O guiding dark of night! O dark of night more darling than the dawn! O night that can unite A lover and loved-one, Lover and loved-one moved in unison. So there is another 'dark' which we have to take into account.

Hi, Good to hear you are taking medical advice and blood test etc. If your GP doesn't understand thyroid related hormones (which surprises me because it is not uncommon) then find a specialist and get a course of treatment. I know a few people who have suffered in this way and massive mood swings and strange personality changes are par for the course. I am sure that proper treatment is available and effective. Naturally you could argue that the physical symptoms/condition are a result rather than a cause and that you need to look to your subtle body and your mind for a real solution. I would say that you can see from your symptoms that this is all about regulating and balancing energy. Now you might be able to to get sensitive outside intervention to help with this - but even if you do the real cure comes from yourself. I don't mean this in a New Agey kind of way but genuinely you have to intend to be well, work on your own sensitivity and 'control', try to find ways that gently allow energy circulation and harmony to be established. This coupled with positive ideas about yourself and what you are doing should at least give you the basis for finding a better condition for yourself. But definitely first get the right pills - then start to work on your energy.

The building, destruction and 'rebuilding' the temple is a very ancient idea of course. Just thought I would point out that jesus was fulfilling a very long lineage prophecy.

I kind of agree the board has lost some of its edginess but the reason for moderation wasn't advertising. The reason was that Sean realised that endless trolling, dog piling and flame wars meant that conversation died. Remember the Gender wars? You were part of that i think. 'Generally' doesn't mean 'most' and all that? Entertaining - then crazy and dull. Anyway the point of moderation - which gets lost sometimes is just to make it easier to have a good conversation rather than repetitive insults and deliberate hijacking. It is supposed to be light touch and impersonal. If you want fire you can attack the other persons ideas, tear the ideas to shreds - but not the other person. When I was a moderator I had a rule for myself 'if in doubt don't act' - so the weight was always with non-intervention - which is kind of why Off Grid and the political threads exist and despite the constant stream of reports from certain people we hardly ever intervened - cos of Freedom of Speech I guess (which doesn't seem to exist any more in my home country by the way ) but in Amurica is more or less alive and well.

Obviously there are occasionally people who come here to troll or with bad intent and that becomes a problem - but otherwise it's all free expression and civil conversation which keeps us going.
